Whiff of Joy Christmas Card~

Hi All~

Another dull and strange day for the last day of July, who ever is in control of the weather, Please remember it's AUGUST in the morning!!

Before I "show and tell" today's card, I would just like to wish my best friend Angie a Happy Birthday for tomorrow, August 1st. Have a nice one and look forward to going out to celebrate..

As you can see another Christmas Card by me today. I am really getting into the Christmas Card making...Never thought I would, but like a few of my fellow bloggers have said...The Christmas Challenge Blogs have given me the head start to get them made, and who cannot make a Christmas Card a week!! BY November I will have a stash starting to pile up, and that cannot be a bad thing.

This is the second of the stamps I chose when I won on Cute card Thursday, I had seen someone else use it on a blog and made a note of it's name, when I looked on the Simon Says Stamp website I managed to find it along with two others, so here it is.
It is a Wiff of Joy Stamp called "Uru & Bird. I am sure that alot of my Christmas Cards will be made with this lovely stamp this year.
The papers are by WRMK and they are brilliant, one side is a solid Christmassy sheet the other has four Christmas 6x6 squares, one of them being the background on this card. I have used my Nestie for the shape of image and matting. Coloured with Pro-Markers. The border punch is a Martha Stewart Snowflake which I am glad I bought as it's the only Christmassy border I have....At the Mo!!

I have entered this card into the following:

Stamp Something--Christmas in July
I love Pro-Markers--Christmas in July
Sweet Stamping--Sketch
2 Sisters--Punches
Polka Doodles--Male or Female

Sean's Birthday~

Hi All~

Want to share with you a card and Gift Bag made for Sean's Birthday next week.
Sean is my daughter Eve's boyfriend and he is a lovely man. He is just so sweet and we love him to bits. He takes care of our daughter and is very patient, funny and a Liverpool Football supporter, so what more could we want!!
The little gift bag was made to house Sean's Chocolate I have bought him....He is chocolate mad, I thought I liked chocolate until I met him!!
At Christmas my daughter bought him a "whole" box of Whisper Gold bars straight from the Cadbury's Chocolate Shop and boy was he pleased.
I have not been as generous as that, I have already bought him a present, so the few bars of chocolate I did get to go in this bag are just a gesture, but he will still love them!
The Image on the card and bag is my new best friend, I know it was not long ago I used him on a card, but I just HAD to use him again....I LOVE him~
Notice the deliberate mistake...... I did not notice what I had done until I put the two things together to take the photograph...I have coloured the little boys clothes in, in different colours, I was not meant to do that, it was supposed to match, but because I made them at different times of the day I totally forgot to look at what I did before!!....Never mind.

Who's Looking At You?

Hi All,

Can you believe we only have one day left in July?
It's going far too fast for my liking, and we have had awful "none" July weather here.
Just hope August is slow going and hot~

I made this card last night before I went ot bed, I had a bit of bother with the colour combo over at Fussy and Fancy....Pink and Black. Ooh was I ever going to manage it. When I went to bed I was a bit dissapointed, but in the light of the day it's not quite as bad as I thought!! Hopefully.

I am using a brand new stamp for this card, I WON it with the Cute Card Thursday challenge. I was able to spend $25 with Simon Says Stamp and I chose this stamp along with two others, thank you all for that.
I am really pleased with my choices and cannot wait to show you all, the other two stamps I chose, hope you will like them as much as I do. I actually chose a "Christmas Stamp" too, which I cannot believe I did in JULY....Ha Ha

This image is a Gillian Roberts stamp called Looking at you. I fell in love with the little butterfly on the end of the girls toe, so cute, I knew I had to have it when I saw it.
The papers are from my local craft shop they are made by Craftshouse Paper. The border punch is by EK success. Coloured with Pro-Markers.
Fits with following challenges:

Fussy and Fancy--Pink and Black
Crazy for Challenges--Colour combo
Sunday Sketchers--Sketch

Hot and Spicy......

Hi All~

I have not called this card Hot and Spicy because I have been Zumba dancing and it's Hot and Spicy doing that....No It's Hot and Spicy because thats what they want over at Craft Challenge, so here it is.
I am not very good with Orange, red and spicy colours, but I have had a go and here is what I have done...
The Image is a Sugar Nellie called Curtsy, I have had her ages and not used her until now, I do like her little head bobbing to the side and her little legs crossed while she cutsys. So cute!
I have used papers from my stash (sorry don't know what they are called) and I have used a Nestie to matt the image on. I decided to stamp a small bamboo image on the white background. The So Lovely setiment is a WRMK rub on, and I have used a small woodware flower stamp and added gems to the middles.
Coloured as usual with pro-markers.

Thank You Fairy Much~

Hi All~

It's been all go here, so I have not managed to post anything since the weekend, but here I go today with a card I made last night before I went to bed.
This image is High Spirits by Penny Black, she is sweet isn't she.
I love the way it stamps, with it being a traditional wooden backed stamp it always looks so clear and crisp.
She is coloured with Pro-Markers, and I have paper pieced her skirt (love doing this tequnique), I have used a MS punch for the border,(mind you you cannot see much of it), this image is quite big, so I covered alot of it up. The butterflies are MS aswell. All finished with a bow, button and a Fairy sentiment by Whiff of Joy.

Anya at Christmas~

Hi All~

Today was the day of my monthly "Cut and Chat" meet up with the girls.
It's lovely to get togther with friends and craft, mind you it's called "Cut and Chat" for a reason, there is alot of CHAT goes on!! (mostly by me!)

We all had a great time doing what we love to do, together.
I started the group in April. I asked 9 friends if they were interested and could make a set day a month, then hired a local hall for £10 an hour, and we use it for 2 hours once a month on a Monday afternoon, easy.... It's not got a set theme, it's bring whatever you want to work on and have fun chatting, crafting and drinking coffee/tea.
I have never organised anything like this before, so If I can do it, you can, go on give it a go, it's really great.....
Today was our fourth meet up since starting, gosh four months have flown by, where does the time go? Stop the world I wanna get off!!
Today at the group I did a spot of Scrapbooking, but I am not showing them on the blog sorry, I cannot show someone's photo's without asking them....But I have a card to share with you instead, I hope you like it.

I am going to be well set up with Christmas Cards by Christmas...As you can see I am off again making another one!!
I was told today that there are only 152 days to Christmas....I think I threw something at the person who said it!!
Anyway, forget that, and get card making~
I have chosen an image of Anya, and this lovely sketch. The papers used are MME again, The white border was made with a MS border punch and I found a metal snowflake in my brad box, and coloured it with a pink copic . The image was also Coloured with copics.

I have chosen a few Christmas challenges for this card, details below:

Anya Ink--christmas in July

Cupcake Challenge--Pastel Christmas

Grow a Friend~~

Hi All~

I am going out tonight.
I have a Neice who's a singer, she sings locally usually every weekend and sings at functions aswell.
Just recently she was asked to try out singing with a group instead of solo...
Anyway she did and the group loved her. Last night was her first night with new group "Heart and Soul", and I am off tonight to see her, I cannot wait.
She was fantastic as a soloist, so I cannot wait to see her with a group of lads all backing singing for her and playing instruments, it is so exciting.

I decided to make another card today while watching QVC, they have had Christmas in July, but unfortunatly I have not seen anything I MUST have, so hubby is happy!!

Todays card is one of my all time favorite images. It is exactly my thing! I love everything about it, from the sweet little 'slightly scruffy' boy, to the very fairytale like tree, reminds me of Jack and the Beanstalk. (Someome is going to tell me now that thats it's real name!)
I have used some papers from my scrap box and some card candy, which I don't use very often but I am happy with how they look on this card. I have followed this really nice sketch from Sketch Saturday.
Unfortunalty I had a bit of a disaster with my sentiment rub on, made a bit of a mess of it, as I was rubbing it on, I moved it...Oh I hate it when it does that.
It won't stop me using this card though, 'cos I don't think it's ruined completely.

Pretty Pink Pussy Cat~

Hi All~

I noticed a few people have lost their backgrounds, me too. I have been to see how to get it back, but it's that long since I did it I cannot quite remember what to do. They asked me to go to the bit where you can get a gadget, but where is the background gadget on the design? Cannot find it, can anyone help. Thank you.

Considering I am not a cat person (I am a dog person), I have made another card today that has a cat image on it. I have to confess I love this image by LOTV and A Big Thank You to Lindsey for sending it to me.

I have used more of my free MME papers (if you have not gone and got them yet, why not! They are fabulous and the magazine they came in has some lovely ideas too.
(Issue 81, August £3.99 of Cardmaking and papercraft)

Back to the card:
I have coloured the image with Pro-Markers and used my MS flower punch for the border. The matting is a Nestie, flowers are NS.

Another Christmas Card~

Hi All~

Another Christmas Card from me tonight...
Hey I'me not getting caught out this Christmas thanks to the brilliant challenge blogs that ask you to make a Christmas Card. Thanks All.

I have had these lovley Rubber stamp Tapstry pegs for ages, and everytime I used them I did not do it right.
I decided to have another go and to draw a circle lightly in pencil and stamp around it's edge...worked a treat, hope you think so.
The gorgeous image (as if I had to tell you) is Tilda, isn't she sweet, don't think she is a Chrismas stamp, but because she has wings I thought if I coloured her in red she could look quite Christmassy~
I have followed this lovely sketch from Winter Wonderland and have also joined in with two Christmas in July Challenges, details below.

Edwin on the move~

Hi All~

Can I start by saying thank you to Cute Card Thursday as I won their Summer challenge, and thank you to Crafts 4 Eternity as I won theirs aswell for using a bingo card....WOW couldn't believe I have won twice in a week, I will have to go buy a Lottery ticket now!!

It's been another nice day here today (it's about time we had a few days strung together after all that rain).
I am having a nice crafting day and evening (hubby is out at the place where they sell real ale!!)
Say no more. I have the whole house to myself and can craft to my hearts content... well until he falls in at about midnight that is!!

I wanted to use my Magnolia Edwin image as I love him but don't use him enough. I spotted a challenge on Alphabet Challenge and they wanted a man's card, and then I found a few more he fit in with, details below.
Edwin is coloured with my favorite markers, Pro Markers, paper pieced on his clothing, Distressed all the papers with my scissors and I have used a script stamp and a MS punch too.

Cute and Sweet~

Hi All~

Have not had a minute to blog sorry.
Once the St Swithins day curse was lifted yesterday moring, I have spent most of the good weather outdoors.
Today I have been down the Retreat (allotment) with Angie (Best Friend) and we have done loads, didn't we do well Ang?

Yesterday Angie and I went to Zumba Class.
For those who don't know, Zumba is the new dance craze for keeping fit, it's fantastic, but is really hard work. It's good fun and very addictive.

Onto todays card:
Thank you to Sheila for helping me out on this one (she know's why), you are a star, cheers Sheila.....
Isn't this image by Mo Manning sweet. Not sure of her name, but she reminds me of a little water nimph....I like her very much, and will be using her again very soon.
I have entered her for a few challenges, and one of those is checks, so I have used the brown and green checked card. For another challenge I wanted to use recycle material, so the corrogated card fits in with that.
Over at Creative Inspirations they want Chocolate and Mint, and I have chosen the Sketch from Creative Card Crew.

A man's card?

Hi All~

I (like a lot of other bloggers) have a few problems - understatement of the year!- In the MAN department - or to be more precise, in the MAN'S card department.

I don't dislike making them, I just don't have anything "stamp wise" to make them with, everything I buy tends to be girly....Sorry fella's, but thats the way it is!

In the case of todays card, I hear you shout....You've made a man's card without a little girly image on!
Well it's not got a girly thing on it, but it's not exactly man'ly either!
But the man in question (an old friend) has two beautiful young cats and he loves them, so I thought maybe it's ok to make a man's card with a cat on it, so here it is.

What a lot of waffle I am talking today, but because of this horrendous wet weather we are having in Cumbria, I am going stir crazy...Nutty to be exact. I cannot believe I cannot sit outside and have lunch with my hubby while he has a week off work....Can you hear me shouting? Please just one or two days strung together....after all it is JULY.
Maybe it is becaues on St. Swithin's Day, IT RAINED!!

Happy Birthday Scalloped Easle card~

Hi All~

Rain Rain go away and don't come back another day!!
We have had about as much rain as a place can get in one a week....My garden is showing sings of flooding!!

Onto todays card.
When I make easle cards I usually stick to the 6x6 square version, but decided (with the help of inspiration from a magazine) to make a shaped one instead.
So came up with this little number!
I started by using my 6x6 card and then I drew round a template I have for scrapbooking to give me this little scalloped edged circle. Co-ordination cardstock was used as the base and I have rounded the corners of the base card.
I have used my MS corner punch to make a cirle and stuck this on the scalloped circle.
The papers used are my MME freebie's from a magazine (details in last posting).
The image used is the little GF stamp, she is so funny, with a little cake on her head!!
All finished off with ribbon, sentiment (again from the free paper pad), gems and stickles.

A Card for a Child~

Hi Again~

If you read my last post you will know that I used some free papers from a magazine to make my last card.
Well they were so nice that I decided to use them again on this card.

In the magazine itself there are some lovely card projects using the papers, and one of them was paper weaving. I decided to have a go. I have done it before, but I did it quite rustic, this time I have been very precise and this meant patience and slow work. (Anyone who know's me will know I do everything at quick speed, and I am not a perfectionist, so this was a hard job for me....) LOL
Anyway I gave it a go and I am happy with the result, what do you think?

DP used are the free MME papers from Cardmaking & Papercraft magazine. The image is Bildmalana (think thats how it's spelt), this is one of Shelley's stamps (so thank you Shelley), It's cute and just right for this card. Ms Punch used again, and I have made my own flower and added a tag.

I have coloured the image with Copic's.
I am hoping to have a go with using different mediums to colour images in with, but just have not got round to trying them yet. I have seen people using the Tim Holtz distressed inks and I have lots of those, so will have to give that a go.

Decided to Enter the following challenges:

Mistletoe Tilda~

Hi All~

Not nice again here today, raining most of it.
I don't understand what's going on, but ever since they implemented the hose pipe ban in Cumbria it has rained!! Typical.

I have made another Chrismas card today (all goes towards the making of them nearer the time!)
I love this image of Tilda with the mistletoe and earlier this year I knew I had to have her for this years Christmas cards.
Not sure if I chose the best colours to go with her, but it's done now. I have used the Snowflake punch round the corner MS punch. When it cuts the waste it leaves behind are these sweet tiny snowflakes which I have managed to use on the card, brilliant.
I have used a Nestie to matt Tilda and ribbon from my stash. Coloured with Pro-markers. The sentiment is one I found in my Christmas box.
These papers were FREE in Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine issue 81 (August), they are lovely MME Summer stack called "Quite Contrary".
36 papers in 12 stunning designs, how great, cannot beat having this sort of freebie in a mag!

Anyone for a game of Bingo!!

Hi All~

I must admit Bingo is not my thing. After spending all my money on lovley craft items, I don't think there would be anything left for a game of Bingo!! LOL

Todays card is made with another hAnglar image, this was stamped for me so no idea what she is called, but I do like her alot.
I have used the sketch and colours from Crafts for Eternity and it was them that also had the brilliant idea of adding a Bingo card! Never heard or seen this before, Lindsey used one on her card and then on the C4E blog you can see how others have used theirs. Looks so different, and I quite like it.

Pink Gift Bag~

Hi All~
Hope you are all having a nice weekend, and hope the weather is a little warmer where you are, it's very dull and a bit windy here.

Today I have been to my second "Zumba" class with my friend Angie...Zumba is a sort of aerobic dance class. I have got to say it's one of the hardest things I have ever done, but it is great fun. If the amount of fluid lost is anything to go by, it's a great way to keep fit. The music is all Latin flavour and is very energetic.
I am a bit wrecked and will appologise in advance for the awful photo of my gift bag, looks like I took it after I drank a bottle of gin.
Oh and Gin is my tipple incase you were wondering!!

I hope you like my wee gift bag...
I have used a nice Anna Griffin Pink DP, + other papers, and the lace border MS punch, the flowers and leaves are NS, and the image (as if I have to tell you) is hAnglar. Really enjoyed making this bag and enjoyed using the girly pink colour~

Tiny Tiddler~

Hi All~

Since the day I saw this Tiny Tiddler Image by Sugar Nellie I loved her.
I had seen her on a web site, but hadn't had time to go on line and actually buy her.
Then yesterday I recieved a little package from Sheila, my lovely blog friend. Inside was.. Yes you've guessed it...A stamped image of TINY TIDDLER...WOW, I couldn't believe it, I just had to use her straight away.
This meant I neglected my Scrapbooking....but I don't care!! LOL
She is worth it, I will have to go buy her now~

I have just finished a card in my favorite colour "Green", and although I wanted to do this card green aswell, I resisted and looked for a challenge with a different colour to my usual, and that was The Sugar Bowl who asked for this sketch and blue, so here it is.

My papers used are the gorgeous DCWV Linen Closet, coloured with pro-markers, and my MS punch round the page punches.
I don't know where I got this little fish charm, but it goes great with the fishing theme! Ribbon and pins from my stash.
I have added some glossy accents to her hair and water.

Summertime, we love it!

Hi Again~

Glad to be able to post again today, finding things hard going at the moment, but I have finished work now until September so I can do lots more crafting, along with other jobs that I MUST do aswell.

I am really happy to be using this lovely image of Tilda sat on her ring. My friend Angie lent me these two stamp, so thank you Ang. Hope you will agree she looks so sweet. In the Magnolia magazine there are a few cards featuring this image and it's nice to see what colours others have used when making their cards.

I have kept to the brief for the Delightful Challenge, as they wanted this colour combo and a beach theme. Just Magnolia wanted 1 Ribbon, 2 Papers and 3 Flowers. The lovely Sketch is Craft Creations and I enjoyed doing this one.
The papers are K&Co, I have used two different Nesties to cut the matting shapes. The images are of course Magnolia, the flowers and leaves are NS. Finished with pins, ribbon and a sentiment by Penny Black.

Beautiful House Mouse~

Hi All~

Just a quick post tonight.

Today I have been asked to make a Scrapbook for a man's 60th Birthday, I have a while to do it, (but once I get going there is no stopping me, Scrapbooking is my biggest passion). I have already finished one page, but wont be able to share it with you until I have asked permission from the lady who has ordered it, but hopefully if she says yes, I can let you all have a gander!!

Tonight I have posted a card I started to make before bed last night, I finished it off at tea time tonight.
I love the House Mouse images, I actually only have three of them and this one is a new one. It was bought in May and this is the first time I have stamped it, I love it, it's so cute.
I have used some co-ordination cardstock, Kioshi Basic Grey papers, ribbon, spray of beads, some PM flowers and finished with copper colour stickles.

Sweet Cherrys for Summer~~

Hi All~

I have just recieved a "Sweet" cherry card, topper and Stamp set from QVC. It is called Nitwit Collections Essentials, I have never heard of it, but it is cute.

I don't really have anything like this, so it made a refreshing change and I was keen to make a card with it. (Not made today, but made yesterday and put aside for posting today).

I have used these new papers in conjunction with Basic Grey papers, and I have used some glossy accents on top of the buttons and cherrys. The word SWEET is a rub on. I have used one of my MS punches for the dotty border. Yummy Cherry's I love 'em!

Footie Final tonight and for the first time EVER, I actually am not too worried about who should win.
I like the idea that neither of them have ever had their name on the World Cup, so thats really nice.
If I was pushed to pick one of them, then I would have to say HOlland, but not for any reason really.
I just hope it is a good FINAL match... Ooh I am going to miss watching it, but now I might be able to get some long awaited jobs done!!

Have A Happy Monochrome Christmas~

Hi All~

I am a little delicate today after our friends 25th Wedding Anniversary Party last night. The £40 Champagne was lovley, but I think it was proberbly the VAT of wine I drank after that, that has given me this horrendous Hangover today!!!
Self inflickted I hear you shout, but please don't shout...I have a headache..

I did not make this card today, I don't think I could have pulled the backing off my double sided tape, so I made it yesterday afternoon.

Over the past couple of weeks I have been making a few Christmas Cards for different challenge blogs. This is really early for me to start Christmas Cards, I usually leave it 'till about October, but I have been having a blast and can put the ones I make away for when I need them, brilliant..

This one is for One Stop, they want Monochrome, Papercutz want No red or Green, so hopefully this will be ok for that (even though there is a tiny bit of red), Fussy and Fancy have Christmas in July and Crazy for Challenges asked for Black, Red and White.

Leanne Ellis Image~

Hi All~

I have had a lovely day today. I like it when I get my jobs done leaving me time to have a play. This is my second post of the day, but I am off out tomorrow so will not get a chance to post Saturday.

This latest card has the stamped image by the wonderful Leanne Ellis. I have several of these and did not know which one to choose, I like them all.
I have used the one where she is in a boat and has a Top Hat on, but I have never used this one, I think she looks like she is wearing a "sort of" Spanish dress.
I always find them easy to colour, in this case I used my Pro-Markers. The paper is Bo Bunny, and I have used co-ordination card for the matting. I have used a little doily for a circle, a slice of ribbon in cream, a few gems and a couple of flower brads.
The lovely "bow" border punch is by EK success and is one of my favorites, all finished off with some stickles to give it bling!

Pink To Make The Boys Wink~

Hi All~

Not a very nice day weather wise for us here, not that we don't need a wee drop of rain. For the first time in 14 years, we here in Cumbria are having a hose pipe ban!! Seems incredible when you think that in November of 2009 the people in Cumbria suffered horrendous flooding and alot of them are still not back in their homes...
Ah Global Warming, I don't think I will ever quite understand it!

Today after work I did a few chores and then settled down to make this card using my new (well second hand on Ebay) GF stamp, think she's called Snuggle.
I chose these new papers by SEI, they are shiney and glittery and lovely quality.
The sketch is Polycraft, and of couse I have entered the Anyone 4 Anya.

I traded with Crystal on her Trade it Thursday two weeks ago and this Nestie shape is what I traded for, isn't it fantastic, what a super shape...Thanks Crystal, your a star!

Edwin Goes On Holiday~

Hi All~

Glad to be able to post again today.
After my Digital Camera fiasco last night, I did not manage to take any photo's of my cards, and I had actually made all the components for this one, so have spent tonight inking them all and sticking them together....I have finally been able to take a photograph (if not dodgily, as I am pretty useless with a camera!!)

This is a stamp I have just won on Ebay, I got another good deal, I also bought three GF stamps the little girls, i hope to be using them soon. This one of course is the lovely Edwin. He is so cute in his little jeans and baseball cap, and of course his wings!

I chose a challenge from Magnolia Stamp Lovers and they asked for "Have a Nice Trip".
I love this as I have alot of travel type stamps and these Tim Holtz Tickets. I also found this metal Passport and vacation charm in my brad box~
Coloured with copics, the papers are leftovers from my bits & bobs draw.

Just sitting here~

Hi All,

Sorry I did not get back to posting this card last night, but my camera decided to run out of battery just as I was about to take a photo, so I had to wait and charge it up. Been busy all day today so had no chance of doing it before now...Anyway here it is.
I have decided to enter this card for the Fab n'Funky challenge when I found out they wanted a shaped card. I have used my Scrapbook shaped templates by Colour My World, they are brilliant. The little stamped image is the little Pergamano Girl sat lookng into the water, I think it's sweet. It was bought from Heaths my local Craft shop in town.

She is coloured with Pro-markers, and I have made my own button. I don't know how other people make their own buttons , but with mine I have cut out about 8 little hearts on the cricut machine and glue them all together, then punched out the two holes with my crop-a-dile, I have inked the edge and added a green dotty ribbon. The border is punched with a MS punch.

Lovely Tilda With Flowers~

Hi All,

I have finally had a chance to use this lovely Tilda image, I keep saying everytime I use a Tilda "It's one of my favorites", I am afraid I am like a broken record!
I cannot help it, she is just such a sweetheart. It's hard to believe there are people out there who are not that keen on her, but we do all have our favorites don't we?
This is the first time I have cut round Tilda leaving a little white edge, I saw someone else had done it and it looked really nice, normally I go in very close, so this was so much easier, and with her holding such delicate flowers was the best option anyway.

Hope you have all had a great day. I am off Craft shopping with my friend Angie in the morning, I will report in tomorrow and tell you all what goodies I bought!!

Trade it Thursday with Crystal~

Hi All,
What a lovely surprise waiting for me when i got in from work.
Crystal over at Crystals Crafty Creations has a "Trade it Thursday" section on her blog, she puts something crafty on it that she does not want anymore, and you tell her what you would like to trade for it! Simple's!

Well two weeks ago I did just that. I traded a stamp set I had not opened and Crystal traded a Nestabilitie that I did not have. Well I have it now!
When I got in today it was waiting for me. Thank you Crystal, I will be back to trade again soon. It's really easy go take a look at what she has on offer this week, it's lovely....

Red White and Blue~

Hi All,

Red White and Blue~
Not a combination I have done before, or if I have I cannot remember doing it, but I was happy that I managed to find all the relevant colours.
I love this little Penny Black image of a teddy bear lying inside a plant pot...how cute is that? I did give him a nappy but still not sure if it's meant to be his tummy, in which case that part should be brown!!

Flower Power~

Hi All~

Me again, and a happy bunny I am too......Guess who won Wimbledon?
My boyfriend....I mean Raffa Nadal....Yahoo

My second posting of the day can't be bad, you would think I had nothing better to do than craft and watch tennis!!!

This is more my style of card Clean and Simple, just the way I like them~
This image is from my friend Angie's stamps, but not sure of the make, I have used the Swiss Dot on the Cuttlebug for the white background and the matting is specialist AC foil card. Finished with a few Gems and a slice of Red Ribbon.

Soooo Distressed!!

Hi All,
Happy 4th of July to our friends across the water ~ Hope you are all enjoying your special day.

I am having a brilliant weekend, so hope you all are.
I am posting this card now, 'cos in a couple of minutes I am off to watch the brilliant Raffa WIN wimbledon!! Hopefully~

Yesterday was fab for sport too, for those of you watching the "F".
Good old Germany saw off the Argies, and embarassed them even more than they embarrased us, which you would have thought would have been impossible, but no, they were truly chewed up and spat out!!
I don't like to blow my own trumpet, but, have said all along that Germany will win the World Cup, people are now thinking I could be right.

My posting today is a little distressed number, don't do much of this as I don't think I am terribly good at it, but hey so what I have had a go and I did enjoy doing it.

Tilda Stamp, a little doily, a tag, pins and pearl spray, three ribbons all distressed with Tim Holzt Tattered Rose ink.

Christmas in July!!

Hi All~
Well I have watched another upset in the "F" today, the apparently amazing Brazillians are out of the World Cup Beaten by the Fabulous Dutch, (come on you Orange!!)
And now I have to watch Murray and Nadal. (Again I am sorry to offend but I LOVE Raffa, so am not supporting Murray). I am not a bit patriotic am I? Sorry!

Back to business...
This is the second Christmas card I have made in the last two weeks...what's got into me? Normally I am making them the week before I want to send them! (Well tell a lie, I am not quite that bad, but you know what I mean).
There are a couple of blogs asking for Christmas Cards, and it's a great idea to start early, just make them and stick them in a box for later!

I have chosen to do this lovely Tilda image, and I chose the Green and purple for a challenge over at Craft Challenge, however I am not 100% happy with this colour combo...I don't usually worry about my cards not being the traditional red and green, but I am not quite sure about the purple.

I have used some Christmas MME papers and a few other bits and bobs from my stash...
I have also used my MS punch as a border and used a couple of snowflake brads to hold it in position. The holly is stamped and the circles ar cut from other MME Christmas paper. I have used some raindrop type gems and a flower and bead orniment. The flower was white, but I coloured it with a poppy red pro-marker.

I do have another Christmas Tilda, it's the one where she is wearing a sort of duffle coat, really cute, I did use her alot last Christmas, and I will be using her again, but this image with Tilda facing away and putting the orniment onto the tree is very sweet indeed, I can see me using her alot aswell.

Warm Wishes From Hope~

Hi All~

Due to this awful weather I have had a good old craft day today, so here is another posting by me!

This little darling is called Hope (or at least I think she is) she is sweet isn't she?
I wanted to try to make this card summery so "hope" you agree the lime and pink works well for that brief....Sunglasses at the ready!

As I am into paper piecing at the mo (will have to do a card without it next time) I have PP Hope's dress and headband, and I used some paper with strawberrys on. The rest of the image is coloured with Pro-markers. I have used my NS punch for the flowers and popped a tiny button in the middle of each.
Again I have used my new Personal Impressions sentiment stamps, the little circles are the perfect size for matting on the smallest circle scalloped nestie. The matting under Hope is also a Nestie.
I have entered the following challenges:

Paper Sundaes--Birthday Card
anyone for Anya--Sketch
PaperPlay--Card for a Child
Sir Stampalot--Summer
Rosie-D--Summer Birthday
