Wedding Time of Year~

Hello Ladies~

I hope you are all well.
I am off to Zumba this morning so will not be crafting until later in the day, but yesterday I made a card for one of my Daughter's work friends. I have used my all time favourite LOTV image, I use this image for almost all of my Wedding cards. I just love it, you can colour the couple's clothes in whatever colours you like, and can add stickles or glitter like I have done.
I have used backing papers also from the LOTV range, a doily and two pins and flowers from Hobbyhouse. I love these Nesti shapes in the Hexagon (if that is what it is!). I have used the flat and the scalloped together. Coloured with Pro-Markers.

My New Prima Media Doll~

Hello Ladies~

I have been waiting very patiently this week for my little Prima Mixed Media Doll Stamp to arrive.....Hey! I was so happy when my Postman brought it yesterday morning.
Unfortunately I did not use it first thing, I was busy doing nasty stuff like CLEANING!! (Yak!)
I kept looking on my table at the Stamp waiting there to be used!!
So.....after helping my Daughter decorate her Goddaughters 1st Birthday Cake, I was able to have a little play.

The great big Tag I have used is also from Prima and were made especially to accommodate these large Doll Stamps (the Tags are over 8x4, and Doll is over 7x3).
These Stamps are made perfectly for Paper Piecing their clothes. Great for using up all your lovely bits and bobs of designer papers, that's what i have done.

They remind me of when i was small and used to play with my paper dolls and clothes with the little tabs, i used to love them, and i also used to design my own clothes too. They must have made a bit of a revival as i noticed in my local craft shop girly books of faces to decorate with makeup and body forms for clothes, think they are called Next Model pads.

If you go to Youtube on Julie Nuttings site here, you will see how she likes to stamp the faceless dolls on some form of Script Paper, I have done that aswell.
The paper I have used is from a pad of Vintage type papers I have had for ages, but I don't know who makes it. When i went through all my papers i found tons of script ones which will be great to use in the future with these stamp.
I have used several script type stamps for the background, and a little butterfly and sentiment from the Lost and Found set, the Bunting stamp is by Anna Griffin.

Girls just wanna have fun...Tag!

Hi Girls~
Hope I find you all well and thank you for the lovely comments you leave for me, always so thoughtful.

I have been busy making a few Tags and I have one of them to show you today.

This Tag was made using an Ali Craft Pre-Made white tag. I usually make my own tags on the cricut machine, but Ali's tags are so nice and quite inexpensive, so now and again I use them.
I have covered the tag in some leftover script paper and some pink bird paper, both from my bit box.
The stamp of the two girls (one of my new favourites) is by Stamping Bella as is the Cyndi Lauper Sentiment taken from the Song!
I have added some tiny flowers from Annamarie Designs and have coloured the image with Pro-Markers.

I am waiting on my Prima Doll Stamp to come....Oh I cannot wait to get crafting Tags with that.
They are quite big "Girls" around 7", but should work well on large tags. There are 6 of them I think, but funds make it impossible (at the mo) to buy more than one!!

Kraft Gift Bag for Sweet Stampin'~

Hi Girls~

This weeks Challenge over at Sweet Stampin' is "Buttons & Bows with Polka Dots"...
A great Challenge I think. Our Sponsors this week are Crafty Ribbons.

I have made this lovely Gift Bag for our Challenge, I love making these. This is my "Kraft colour" Bag, but I also have these little bags in White and in Blue and Pink in a slightly larger size. They are perfect for a small pressy and this one measures 7 x 8 1/2.

Sorry about the poor quality of the photo, the light was not too good, it looks much more vibrant irl.

I have used an A4 sheet of Kanban double cardstock in Dots and checks (great card this as it's split in half so has a perfect natural area between the two patterns to add ribbon). I bought a pack of 6 bright colours, but wish I had bought more as I have used it all already!
I have also cut a Di-Namics doily from the leftover card. The Topper Image is from a Hobbyhouse sheet, isn't she cute, love the way she is gardening. Sentiment is LOTV. Flowers are a Di-Namics die, and the leaf is a Memory Box die. I have finished off with some Mei Flowers Ribbon.

Altered Paint Pot~

Hi Ladies~
Hope you all had a lovely weekend.

I did a few jobs yesterday then had a lovely crafty afternoon while watching "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial". I love watching films while I craft. Saturday I watched "Babe" to my Hubby's disgust, this was not because he doesn't like Babe, but because I watched it last Saturday!!! I know, I just can't help it, I am such a Movie Freak, and don't care what I watch or how often I watch it, at least I am a Happy Bunny.

Anyway waffle over, I have another Altered Item to show you today. This time it's a delightful "Paint Pot"....Isn't it cute? I have seen these paint tins a few times on Create and Craft, but I have always not been quite quick enough to get one before they have sold out. Well all that changed last week when I managed to get two on the website, just minutes before they were gone!
As it is my Neice's baby's 1st Birthday at the end of the month, I thought I would decorate it and fill it with lots of goodies she would like (don't know what yet!).

Really enjoyed decorating this pot, and it did not take long at all, think i had it finished in about 2 hours. The papers are Basic Grey "Little Things" collection, the sentiment is from an Echo Park collection called "Sweet Girl".
I made a Tag by the handle, and a Rosette type flower made on my Hoogie Board (not a very good shot of it, sorry!). I have cut the letters for Iris's name on my Cricut Machine.
The shaped doily on the lid is a Nestie Shape.

MDF Altered Box~

Hi Girls~

I have an MDF Altered Box to show you tonight.
I made this a few weeks ago. It was originally made for a Craft Sale, but my Sister fell in love with it, so today as a surprise, I gave it to her. She was delighted and said she wanted to put her jewelry in it.

I have showed a picture of the box before and after it was altered. It is just so plain before it's decorated. I just love it afterwards.
I used Gesso on the blank box and then painted over the top once dry with EcoGreen Acrylic Paint in the colour Sand.
I have used some of my new Heartfelt Creations Papers to cover the lid and sides. These are a new company to me, the papers are stunning and one 12x12 page has covered this box. The box measures 8x6 and was the middle size of these boxes. A perfect size for a dressing table.

The bodyform was cut from a leftover bit of a Scrapbook page, the Doily is a DoCrafts intricate die (mind you if you use the Reynolds Wax paper it's a doddle to get out the die). The flowers are my new favourites and are a die from Di-Namics. I have used some pearl string beads from my stash & card candy. The Sentiment is also from the Paper Pad, and this gorgeous corner die is also a new die, but I have lost the packaging and I cannot remember who it's made by.

Help anyone!

Hi Girls.
Hope someone can help me.
I seem to be getting quite alot of unwanted comments for my blog posts. They are not that ad but are of a sexual nature. Just wondered if anyone else is getting them and if you have any tips to me getting rid of them. I am deleting them, but today i had three.
Thanks

Cravings are EVIL!!

Hello Girls~
Hope you are all well. Not a bad spell of weather at the moment....but shush! in case it changes.

I have a Layout and a short story for you today.
The photograph of me on this Layout was taken a long time ago when I was holidaying in Spain with my Hubby and his parents. Although you will find the journalling too small to read i will give you a quick version of why this layout makes me laugh when I think of this week in the sun, and why my kids find it so amusing!

When in Spain we all ate the Lemon and Orange ice creams that the Spanish make by putting the flavoured ice cream in the empty shell of a Lemon/Orange before freezing solid. We just couldn't get enough of them and every night coming back from a Hot day out, we would call in at the local shop and bring some back to the Villa to eat as quick as possible.
So.....jump in time to 8-9 years later when I became pregnant with my first child. I decided one day I had a craving.....Yes! you guessed it, I woke suddenly one night and was so desperate for either the Lemon (like in the photo) or the orange Spanish ice creams. I used to cry and plead with Chris to go get one for me. The only problem was, they were in SPAIN!!
Well 19 months later and pregnant again....YE! it all started again.
My Sister reminded me that when she was pregnant she too wanted something freezing cold like I did......But her Craving was crunching on ICE CUBES!
I did remind her that unlike my Craving, she could quite easily get hers......from the TAP!!

SS 6th April Ch

Hello Ladies~

April already (I think I said that at the begining of March too!, I can feel a theme coming on!)
So it's Saturday, and that's another super Challenge over at Sweet Stampin' and this week it's "Scallops".
Our Sponsor this week is Heather Ellis.

This is one of Heather's images i have used, how cute is she?
I have kept this card very C&S, I felt i had used a lot of Scallops, so decided not too fussy it up too much. Image is coloured using Pro-Markers, Scallop punch is by X cut, pearls are from Hobbyhouse and sentiment is Craftwork Cards.
