A Wee Tree~

Hiya~

What a really busy day I have had today, not a minute to creaft 'till about two hours ago.
I have been crafting and watching "The Full Monty" on tv. My sister and I love that film, and even though it's on tv about once every three months we just have to watch it. We text each other all the way through it laughing and saying this is my favorite bit...always makes me feel happy, a feel good movie! (But thats just my opinion)!

I have made an Easle Christmas card tonight, I don't think you can ever make enough Christmas Cards, think I needed about 200 last year!!
This is the WOJ stamp that I managed to win on ebay a few weeks ago, along with another one, I think it's so sweet.

The papers used are MME Christmas stack, and I have added a couple of brads, a button and a Craftwork Cards sentiment.
I have entered the following challenges:

Creative Inspirations--Christmas
Charisma Ch--Christmas
Tamiko's Ch--Buttons & Brads
ABC Ch--Easle Card
The Sweet Stop--Sketch
ABC Christmas Ch--Tree (and added button)

Get Well Soon~

Hi All~

No! I am not ill........although I am recovering from a bit of a cold.

"Get well soon" is the title of my recent card. Bought this LOTV image and have not used it 'till now...How cute is it?
I get asked for Sympathy and Get well cards so have made this one for my stash.
I was not sure what colours to use on the image, but luckily for me, the packaging on the LOTV stamps have a coloured image, so that helped alot.
My background "frame" paper is Prima's Annalee Collection, very ornate papers but nice. Tiny flowers are also Prima called Tiny Tots.
Spot and stripe papers are MME Christmas stack. Punch is a MS and the image is coloured with Pro-markers.

Challenges Entered:

A Spoonfull of Sugar--Spots and Stripes
Die Cut Dreams--Teddy Bears
Simple Doodles--Pink and Green
Papertake Ch--Sketch

Hiya All~

I have made an Anya card today in Pink and Brown, unfortunatly it looks like I made a card in "Orange and Brown!! BUT I promise it's a trick of the camera...Bl**dy camera, I am no David Bailey, but I am sure this camera does it on purpose just to wind me up!!

Anyway...
I made a card today in Pink and Brown, using the beautiful Anya.
I have tried to make the card a little vintage and distressed, hope I have pulled it off...
I have used some Eskimo Kisses paper, a Nestie, NS flowers, Hobbyhouse pearls, Tim Holtz Tea Dye ink, ribbon from my stash.

Sitting Waiting For Autumn~

Hiya~

Tonight's card~I have used the gorgeous Magnolia Tilda image. I feel like it is ages since I have used her, but it's only about half a dozen post ago! Lol

I chose the challenge at Creative Inspiration for their "use two stamps" challenge. I knew I had this great Whiff of Joy Bench and I have used it before, it fits almost all the sitting Tilda's perfectly and I like it alot. I have stamped Tilda and paper pieced her little dress, I have then masked her to stamp the bench, I like doing all these techniques.

DP are from Basic Grey's Eskimo Kisses Pad, it's a very nice Christmas Pad with lovely traditional and untraditional designs.
I have used my new Nestie shape for the matt, and the swirl is from a Magnolia Die, however not sure you can see it as I chose a very pale biscuit colour for it.
I have used lace, flowers and pins from my stash and have cut leaves from a NS punch.
Stickles and gems have been added for a bit of bling!

Just Magnolia--Sketch
Totally Tilda--Glitter/Sparkle
MDUC--Flowers and Lace
Creative Inspirations--2 or more Stamps

BIG Reindeer~

Hi All~

What a whopper this Reindeer is! I just love the way the image is made "head on" and with the little Wee sitting riding on top....Sssoo sweet~
I have chosen Lilac colours yet again, oh no I am getting a bit samey (Is that a real word?)
I promise to make my next Christmas card in red &/or Green!!

My mum likes traditional cards, so when I make some for her I will have to make them that colour combo anyway she won't like Lilac I don't think.

Don't know where the lilac checked paper came from. The plain is co-ordinate cardstock. I have matted image on a Nestie shape. The large snowflake is a MS punch as is the border punch, I have used the little snowflake leftovers as embelishments with tiny Hobbyhouse pearls in the middle. The gorgeous sentiment is Magnolia, I really was pleased when I saw this on a stall at Harrogate, I have seen others use it and think it is lovely on a Christmas Card. I have stamped and clear embossed the image and sentiment to give it that glossy look.

I have entered:

Die Cut Christmas Ch--Furry friends
Friday Sketchers--~Sketch
One Stop--Snowflakes
Polycraft--Cute and Cudly
Papertake Weekly--Animals

Made For A Competition~

Hiya~

Just thought I would share with you a card I have made for the craft show Competition at Port Sunlight.

Port Sunlight is a lovely village near Liverpool, built by William Hesketh Lever for his Sunlight soap factory workers in 1888.
Each year it holds an Autumn Stamp Festival and it's the largest specialist for rubber stamps in the North West.

It is about 3 hours drive from where I live, my friend Margaret books coach and tickets for a lovely group of crafting ladies, we have a great day and spend too much money!!

Well~ they also hold a competition on the day, and you are welcome to enter. Last year it was a wedding theme, and this year it's "Just Black and White", nothing more, not even grey, so hopefully you will think tonights card will qualify.
It's hard not putting even a splash of colour on, but this wonderful Crafty Individual Flower stamp is always lovely just stamped and embossed, so that's what i have done. I have used the brick embossing Tim Holtz folder in the background (don't think it shows up on camera, but looks ok on the real thing) and have added a "Perfect Day" sentiment on top of my new Nestie Tag, which I love. To finish off I have added just a couple of pearl white gems.

The quality and amount of cards they get entered, are fantastic. It is lovely to see how people interpret the set theme.

I have managed to enter this card into the following challenges:

Allsorts--Plain and Simple
Colour Create--All White

LOTV Christmas Girl~

Hi All~

I said I would be back tonight and here I am!

Hubby will be well under way drinkin' his beer at the Beer Festival, hope he is not hungover in the morning. Is it just me or are men a bit on the Pathetic side when they have a headache!!!

Tonight I have had a good old craft. Did a spot of Scrapbooking, made a couple of gift bags and managed to finish this LOTV card too.....'Cor I need a Blue Peter Badge me thinks!! (Would settle for a sober hubby!! Lol)

Tonights card is for a couple of challenges, and is to add to my Christmas Card stash. In about 90 days I am going to need this card!! (Sorry)

Over on LOTV challenge they wanted an Untraditional Christmas Colour Card, so I think Lilac is ok for that, and as it happens Crafts 4 Eternity wanted Lilac and Lace, as well as this lovely sketch. So all good.

I adore this LOTV image and it was one of the stamps on my list for the Harrogate show, glad I managed to get it, she looks so sweet with her big Russian hat on and walking her dog (I think the dog looks a bit like a Dachshund, and that suits me as my friend Angie has a gorgeous boy Dachshund called Oscar, he loves me and is a big softy, wanting kisses all the time, he is gorgeous).

As you can see I have done some mock stitching with a white gel pen, added a few flower brads to the border strip. The lacey bits are all paper doily's.
The card is co-ordinates and I have used a sheept of paper from a magazine.

I really enjoyed making this, and as I have all the exact components but in a pinky colour, I may replicate this one again to add to my stash of Christmas Cards.

Entered into:

LOTV--Untraditional Colours for Christmas
Crazy 4 Challenges--Sketch, Lilac and Lace
Raise the Bar--Winter Stamp
Sweet Stamping--Sewing
Crazy Catz--Sewing
Delightful Sketchers--Sparkle
Anything Goes--Cute

Manga Sugar Nellie~

Hi All~

Can you believe it's Friday already....Stop the world I want to get off!

I am a bit tired today, had work this morning and Zumba Wednesday and Thursday, got to do some hoover and polishing + ironing before I can have a play....
Hubby is at a Beer Festival later tonight, so I will be in the craft room straight after tea to do a few cards.

I finished this card before I went to bed last night, but I was so tired I just couldn't bring myself to photograph it with my eye's shut!!

I love these Sugar Nellie Manga girls, the other one I have is similar but she is holding a cup.
I have followed The Sugar Bowl sketch and have gone with the brown and Cream theme on The Paperplay Challenge.
The papers are a mix of leftovers from my paper box, so no idea what they are. The border is a MS punch and the flowers are NS.

Be back later with another card..

Paperplay--Brown and Cream
The Sugar Bowl-Sketch

Moving on up....

Hi All~

Thats me all night now...Singing M People's "Moving on up"... I once saw them in concert with Angie, and Heather Small actually sang that song!!!

I have really enjoyed making tonights card.
This "Stampavie" "Flower Power" stamp is one of my latest purchases, It's so cute, I think everyone's secret passion is a...VW Camper Van!

I have jazzed this one up to look a bit "Hippyish", I paper pieced the front part with some red flower power paper (by K&Co), and coloured the rest with pro-markers.
I was not sure what sentiment to put on, but after thinking about it and having a search through them, I came up with this "Bon Voyage" from Personal Impressions.

Entered into:

Cupcake Challenge--Transport

Autumn is here~

Hi All~

The secrets out....IT'S AUTUMN!!
Thats all there is too it, so no more winging from me about putting away all my lovely "Summer" clothes and sandals and getting out my coat and boots....Boo Hoo!

Today was my monthly meeting at the Cut & Chat group (thanks for a lovely 2 hours ladies, enjoy your company alot.) This is what I made there.
This stamp is my new Tilda and Edwin. Last year I did try to buy it a few times but without success, so when I saw it last weekend I just had to have it, perfect for Christmas cards. It is actually quite a large image with it having both of them on, so doing an Easle Card made it much easier. Glad Edwin is on it too, as I often think he gets a bit left out! Poor Ed!!

These lovely papers, border and matting are all "Freebies" from my Monthly Scrapbook Magazine (My lovely friend Angie gets me it each month, ta Ang!)

Entered this card into the following:

Christmas with Mo~

Hiya~

I have made another Christmas card today, I am getting a nice stash now, no more making them at midnight on Christmas Eve any more!!
No! I wasnt that bad, but in November I was usually wishing I had made a few to take to the table top sale I do every year. Now I have!!

I adore this Mo Manning image, it has got to be one of my favorites. I quite like a stamped image that is quite "chunky", I like the way they are nice and easy to colour. I think thats why I love Tilda's so much~
I have chosen to do Blue again, I have a real liking for the frosty blue for Christmas cards, and added this little lacey border at the last minute..think it looks abit like a row of fairy lights hanging!
The Sentimnet is Craftwork Cards and I have used my new octogan Nestie shape to matt it on.
Coloured with pro-markers and stickles in frosted lace + added some Hobbyhouse pearls to the top of the lace.

Out for a bit of Shopping~

Hi All~

Can I just say a Big Thank You to everyone who leaves me such lovely comments about my cards, I would never have thought that people could be so nice, and say such lovely things, so thank you all.

Two cards off me in one day, obviously haven't got enough jobs to do!

I don't work on a Thursday, so I keep all my "boaring" jobs for this day.
Today was no different, Washing to do, town for an eye test, ironing (loads of it, two hours worth. Know I am a bit sad but, I don't mind doing it, would rather iron than hoover and polish!) And some paperwork for work.....After that it was playtime for me and so here is another card.

I have not used this lovely Anya for ages, so when I saw the challenge on Anyone for Anya I thought about her, glad I used her she is so nice and I love her hair.

I have used some new cardstock from the Nitwit Collection, these are called Meadow Dots and Blossom Gingham, lovely to use. Two nesties for the matting, a bit of blue ribbon, a small butterfly from my stash and the new Magnolia Tatty Flower Dies, these are so nice and the leaf comes with a gorgeous swirl. A bit expensive, but I think worth the money. They have been sprayed with Glimmer Mist. All edges are inked using Tim Holtz Tattered Rose ink.

Entered into:

Flutterby Wednesday--Something with Wings

I'me All White, How Are You?

Hi All~

Found todays card a bit of a challenge!
It was hard for me to do ALL WHITE~
Still not fully convinced I have pulled it off, (and my photographs are awful, sorry...Don't know what happened, but it looks nicer in real life. Don't think you can see a single flower under those pink gems, never mind.)
I am now having withdrawl symptoms from some colour....so the next card will not be ALL white!
All that said, I do like it and have used my new scalloped die shape by Marianne, infact I have used it to make the whole easle shaped card.

I have used this sweet Mo Manning image, don't know what her and the little dog are looking at but I think it's just the starry night's sky!
I ran a circle of white card through the cuttlebug flower folder, and used a piece of stretchy pleated ribbon over the top. The Sentiment is one of my Craftwork cards mini circles in white and silver.

LOTV Singers!!

Hi All~

Couldn't wait to use one of my new LOTV stamps, and as I am in the Christmas Card making mood, I did this card.
I managed to get quite a few LOTV stamps when I was away, so watch this space for more coming up, mind you I have to get some of my jobs done first + Zumba + ironing + work....Oh a woman's work is never done!!!!!!

The DP are My Minds Eye, the Christmas paper pad is lovely, it's cardstock not paper and is very traditional in it's designs.
The Snowflake is the MS punch/stamp set. The sentiment is from Craftwork cards.
I have added some frosted lace stickles to look like snow falling.

Entered:

Hi All~

Another lovely day weather wise here for us....Don't tell me ~ September is going to be gorgeous!!

Hubby is at a Beer Festival tonight, so I have been having a few hours crafting and chilling! BUT...Oh no that means, it will be MEGA hangover time in the morning!

Tonight I have had a play with this little LOTV image, I like her, but, she always looks to me like she is bursting for the loo! It must be her legs and feet! LOL

Anyway, she is coloured with Pro-Markers, and all the card and sentiment are Kanban, including the matting.
Finished with stickles and ribbon(which I cut off a T.Shirt I have just bought. Does anyone else hate those "hang them on a hanger ribbons"? I always cut them off and this one has come in well handy!)
