May Calender Page~

Hello girls,
A big thank to all my followers, your lovely comments are appreciated and always make my day, thank you all.

Can you believe it's MAY!  I think I said the same thing on April 1st!! Not about it being May but about it being April... You know what I mean!!

I just feel life is flying by at a rate of knot's, and one month just fades into another....Good job I try to cram as much into each day as I can!!

I have my May Calender to show you today.
Over at The Kathrine Wheel the lovely Kate is up and running with her calender make for this month and I am also on the ball and have done mine already...I just love making this double page in my journal, it gives me the opportunity to get all messy with Dylusions spray inks again, and Dylusion stamps too.
On these pages this month I have used the Lime spry ink and the round the edge stamps. I especially like the round the edge Alphabet stamp, isn't it fab?
I have also used the bird from a set of Tim Holtz stamps and some wonky circle stamps from a Lindsey Mason....Ta Dah, done.

New Tim Markers~

Hi Girls

I had a little treat on Friday.
I have had Tim Holtz new Distress Markers on order at my local craftshop for a month now, but got the call on Friday to say they were here..........I marched straight down, then had a little play with them.
I really did not know what they were like, although I had seen a tutorial of Tim using them on youtube.
I was really pleased with them and they are so very different from my usual medium of Pro Markers and Copics. They are watercolour type markers, so can be used with a water brush.

On this card I have used them, direct to stamp, a technique I have not used for years.
I have had this wood mounted stamp for ages, it is made by Art Impressions. I just love the two milk churns and the grasses, I have used it in the past as a get well and thank you card.
It was lovely to colour with the markers and I was really happy with the finish, exactly what I was after. I wanted it subtle and pale and quite delicate looking, so think I achieved that.

I have used leftover bits and bobs of paper, Hobby House brown flower and pearls, the lovely leaf is a Memory box die I have had for a while and not used 'till now, Ooh I do like it.
The shape round the image and matt is a nestie die, I don't use this one very often, I always think it looks like a big cloud! But I was quite happy with it when it was cut.
I have stamped half a dozen of these images so I will make them all into Thank you/Get well cards for my stash.
I had a table booked at a church hall with my friend Angie yesterday, we were selling all our handmade craft goodies, although it was not highly attended we still sold a few things and I managed to sell a good dozen of my cards, so I was happy. All funds are greatly appreciated and go straight back into the "Buying" of more craft goodies pot! Ha Ha (That is on May 12th, so not long now!!)

I am also joining in at Digi Doodle Shop, they have picked "Pink & Brown" and I just love these two colours together, actually Brown and any other colour suits me!

I have used Memory Box papers and brown Bazzil cardstock, a MS punch and some Hobby House pearls. I made the bunting from leftover matching paper from my stash.

Stampotique ATC~

Hello Girls~

Oh what a day, the weather here has been so awful...Rain, Rain and more Rain, so much for a hosepipe ban, ever since those words were spoken, it's been wet!!

I like to make ATC'S, and use them as little business cards to hand out to people who would like my details.
The latest challenge over at "Stampotique Designers Challenge" is to make an ATC, so I thought you bet I will have a go at this challenge.
I started by using Tim Holtz distress inks for the background, I then did a bit of sewing at the top. I tore some paper and inked the edges and added to the bottom using a few staples.
I stamped the Stampotique Monster onto the book paper too and coloured a bit of it with Copic's.
I love this Monster and love the way he has the little sign in his hands, it can be personalised in whichever way you choose, you can write or stamp inside it. I chose to write "True" inside.
At the top of the ATC I have stamped the  "Live in the Moment" sentiment by Hero Arts, just love this and use it loads, especially on my Scrapbook Layouts.
That's it!!

Big Kraft Tag~

Hello Girls.

I don't even want to talk about "New" Blogger....That's NOT what I call it, mine are all unprintable words I am afraid.
This is the first post since the change over and it's taken two days.
A big thank you to Jennie and Fi for helping me to do it, I was fit to burst...

Anyway I have a "Big Tag" to share with you today. I love making these, and usually start by ink spraying the background. Tonight I decided on something less messy!
I love using Kraft card, so I drew round one of my big tags and cut it out in Kraft card. I then chopped up some leftover paper from my stash, I think this is from Basic Grey but not a 100% sure.
I inked all the edges with Tim Holtz Walnut stain and added lots of different stamps from my stash.
I have used some Tim Holtz flower and background stamps, an Inkilicious Butterfly and some Lindsey Mason wiggly circles. The tiny pearls are Hobby House. I have also managed to do a bit of sewing round the edges.

Thank you Jennie

Oh a big thank you to Jennie.

Thank you for the great advice.
Will give it a go now and see how I get on.

Big Problem~

Hi Girls.
I am really struggling with New Blogger.

Firstly I cannot do any spacing on my posts, everything is all joined together even tho' I have spaced them right when writing them. All my challenge info is just all joined together even tho' I have them all evenly spaced.

The example also shows "lots" of other key options on the post heading where the quote, bold, italic, link etc is, yet I only have about 5 things.
I reverted back to old blogger to write this post, but it says on it that it will be removed in a couple of weeks.
this is getting so annoying that if it stays like this I will probably not post, that is how cross it is making me.

Please can anyone help with my questions.

~Sweet Stampin'~ Challenge

Hello Girls,

Saturday again, so a New Challenge awaits you over at ~Sweet Stampin'~...
This week it's "Use more than one Ribbon". Our sponsors are "Crafty Ribbons".

This is the card I have made today...Hope you like it and will be able to pop over and join in.
I don't usually use more than one ribbon on a card, so this challenge was tough for me, how was I going to use more than one!!!
In the end I used 3....so it did not turn out to be the problem I had thought!

I have used this New Stamp I bought in March, it's by Belles 'n Whistles, isn't she cute? The papers are Basic Grey, the ribbons are all from my stash, flower is NS.

The Violin Man~

Hello girls,

Wanted to share a Scrapbook Layout with you today.

These two photographs were taken when I visited Amsterdam with my hubby and friends in August 2007 (the last time I flew actually!).

I have got to say that the photographs don't do this sculpture Justice, I wish now I had taken a picture of me or someone else standing next to it.
You cannot tell but, this sculpture was huge, about 3 metre's across, and it was breaking out of the floor like it was in the room below....Incredible, I remember thinking it was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen.

What really surprised me about this piece was the fact that it was in the lobby of a building which was just a boring old exchange business suite, and there were no people to be seen (accept us, that is!)
I was so sad to think that it was hidden away like that, this could have been in the street somewhere where lots of people could see it.
I don't remember seeing a plaque telling me anything about the piece and I don't have a name....So I just call him The Violin Man.
I hope you like him as much as I do.

I have used Graphic 45 paper, and my New papers from "Stampin Up"...OOoo they are gorgeous! This lovely flower is a Funstamp by Lindsay Mason called Dotty Flower and I just love using this flower on a Scrapbook page, it's so nice and chunky and perfect to stamp on your favorite papers and cut out, had lots of use out of this one!
I have followed the sketch set at the gorgeous NEW Scrapbook Challenge blog over at Sketchbook 365, go take a look it's lovely.

Baby Girl~

Hello Girl's, Hope I find you all well. A big thank you for all your lovely comments.

My Niece is due a baby any moment (Well first week in May!), but looks like she is ready any day.
I remember when I was due with my first baby (21 years ago now). Hubby and I decided we would go for a walk with our two dogs and hope that the walk would start me off!
Eh...I ended up slipping down a banking and landing on my bum.....Still no baby even with all that excitement. I remember the dog's thought I was playing and both jumped on me (they were only a year old so were still daft puppies really).
OMG you would have thought I would have had Eve the next day, but NO, she hung on 'till the bitter end, and only came once I was told I was to be taken in to be induced, must of scared her into coming on her own!!

I digress.....back to my Niece. Her baby "Girl" (I say that, but I am always suspicious of people saying it is defiantly a boy/girl, the nurses have been wrong before!
Anyway we are told and hoping it is a girl, especially now we are buying/making "Pink" things. LOL

Sorry about the awful photo, must do better!

So this is the card I have made for her. I also made one for my Sister as this is her first Grandchild, but I will post her card another day.
This is a LOTV image, had it ages, but I never tire of it. I have used some graphic 45 paper and made some bunting. Coloured with Pro-Markers and I have added a few Hobby House pearls.
Leah (my Niece) has always been fond of the name Iris, and I was hoping that if that's what she decides on then I can pop the name on the bunting, but if not it still looks nice the way it is.

Flowers Galore!!

Hello Girls and also a big hello to my New Followers....Lovely to have you on board, thank you, and hope you like my work.

I had a very small win yesterday on the Grand National (small being the operative word, about £4...I put money on Seabass which came third).
I must admit It saddens me two horses died during the race, and even though the fences are lowered every year and vets/r.s.p.c.a inspect every one and the well being of the horses, there seem to be fatalities every year. Very Sad.

On a lighter note:
The weather here is quite nice, well it would be now Easter has finished!! Lol

Washing and ironing + Food shopping all out the way, football finished (lucky Chelsea if you ask me!!) So crafting has been on the agenda tonight.
I just cannot let a Mo challenge go by if I have the slightest chance of being able to enter it, so here is a card made for the latest challenge "I see Spots".

I just love this image of the little girl hugging the huge bunch of flowers, and a sweet little smile on her face...cute or what!!

Hello Girls,

Hope I find you all well, and that you had a good Easter, wow! the time flies by doesn't it? Lovely and bright here today, must be car washing time!!

I have a "Wall Hanging" to show you today.
Made for the Stampotique Challenge, I just love this technique of inks and stamping, and I enjoyed making this one.
The background is made with Ranger Dylusions Spray Inks, I have used various masks and stamps over the top.
The Stampotique Image is Daniel Torrente (Oh how cute is he!!, If you like that sort of thing!!)
He always makes me smile, looks like he is dancing, he works great with this type of project.
The flower stamp is a freebie off the cover of the latest "Craft Stamper" magazine, and the other stamps used are Ranger Dylusions.

Girls just wanna have fun~

Hiya Girls,

Had a good day today, sun was shining through my craft-room window so I thought should I clean the car or
craft in the heat!! (Hard one.......Durr)
CRAFT WON HANDS DOWN!!
Dirty car will have to stay dirty just 'till tomorrow, promise I will do it then...Unless it's gorgeous again and the Sun is shining through my Craft-room window.....Get the picture!!

Today's card is another of Mo's girls, ooh I do like them, they always make me smile.
As this is a topper and not a stamped/digi image, it is already coloured for me!
sometimes when I am tired and not in the mood for colouring this is ideal and great if you need a quick card. I usually use these on my little paper lunch bags.

I get these toppers from my friend Jill at Hobby House, I think they do Wee images and a few others too. They are printed on coated paper with a really nice shine to it, so quite luxurious for a topper. There is scope to add glitter and to shade a bit with your own markers if that's what you want to do to add a bit of your own stuff.

I have used leftover papers from my stash, Tim Holtz Alteration "Clock" die (which I love, and this one is made with Grunge paper and coloured with chalk inks)
The lovely pearls are from Hobby House, the border punch is by MS, flower punch is EK success retro punch.

My 2 Year Blog Anniversary~

Hello Girls,
Can't believe I have been in "Blogland" for two years today....Time has gone so quickly.
I have "Met" some lovely & very talented friends here, my two years have been very happy, and I have learnt so many different techniques and seen great craft inspiration.
I have enjoyed seeing all your brilliant craft projects and have been very grateful for your lovely comments on my work.

I am hoping to post some Blog Candy when I get a chance....but don't hold your breath!! It may take me a while to get round to it!
Also not sure how to keep the post at the top for a certain time either, but will have a think about that one!!

I have a card to show you today. I made it a couple of days ago. I have used this image before and find he always goes down well.
As this "Monster" is a digi image, I print him off quite big, he is great to colour as he is quite chunky, I decided to colour him in a bright green, but he would look fab in orange, or purple.
I like the way you can make him a bit wacky by adding a different colour to his spots, horns and eye glass.

I have coloured him with Pro-Markers and decided to give him these fab purple glasses for his ONE EYE!!
This great bunting is courtesy of Craftwork Cards and the Sentiment is Ali Crafts. The punch is MS, I have finished with some coloured glitter brads.

~Sweet Stampin' Challenge~

Hello girls,

It's April already, I just cannot believe how quick March went.....Whoosh!!!

The new challenge today over at Sweet Stampin' is "Die's & Doodles" and our sponsor is "My Mum's Craft Shop", it would be lovely if you could join in with us this week. Nip over and see what my team mates have come up with.

I hope you like the card I made for this one....It's a little cowboy. I did laugh when I saw him, it reminds me of when I ran Playgroup and the children would dress up, this is what they would look like with the cowboy outfit on.
The other stamp in this series I picked up is of an Indian (so cowboys and Indians, Oh I have gone back in time now....I was always an Indian when playing that game, what were you?)
Hopefully I will get a chance to use the Indian soon, he is adorable.

My card is made using:
Graphic 45 paper and this new NS image of a "Cowboy", ha, this did make me laugh. the Stars are die cut and the sentiment is by Whiff of Joy. I have added a few buttons from my stash.
Image is coloured with Pro-Markers.

Hello All~

Hope you are enjoying "Good Friday".
I have had a bit of a cold so felt a bit off when I first woke up, but Hubby is off work and that always makes me happy!! Not done anything exciting today, but Hubby has now gone out on a "Beer Hunt", so I am home alone....I feel a crafting evening coming on!!

I just wanted to share a card with you that I made yesterday.
The image I have used is one of the March Specials over at DigiStamp Boutique, called Rosie, I just couldn't resist the "Three Image offer for the Month", this is one of the three images, isn't she sweet?

I have used leftover papers from my stash, and the lovely flower and leaf are Magnolia. The image is coloured with Pro-Markers, the pearls and pins are from Hobbyhouse. Ribbon is from my stash. The punch is a MS.

Paris~ Summer 2001

Hi girl's.

I am back again today with a Scrap Layout for you to see.

For this Layout I have used a photograph taken of my two friends Angie and Sandra.
It's not a new photo, it was taken when we all went to Paris to see Madonna in concert back in 2001.
I love this photo, as we were standing under the legs of the Eiffel Tower.
I loved the Tower and got a shock at how big it was, underneath each leg were hundreds of people all waiting to go up.
I don't know what I was expecting, but it was certainly more beautiful than I could ever have imagined.
A couple of years after this Angie and I went back (again to see Madonna!!) and we got to see the sights we did not see first time around (including The Louvre).

I love art, all art,(even the Damien Hurst type of art! Which is a bit odd I know, but at the end of the day is still art) And when Angie and I saw the Mona Lisa we were taken aback at how gorgeous she was. I remember a friend telling us she was not worth seeing as she was tiny and boring.....NOT true, she was amazing.
One day I will get around to Scrapping the photo I took of her.

I have used the Sketch for this LO from the Challenge over at Scrapology. I have chosen this gorgeous Kraft paper from Graphic 45, this pad is so gorgeous and it had this "Paris" paper inside so I decided to use that.
The flowers are Hobbyhouse, the lace is from my stash, and the punched edge is a EK Success punch.

Calender Page for April~

Hi Girls
A big thank you for the lovely comments you have all left me over the last posts, I really do love to read them, thank you so much.

Having such a good time playing along with Kate Crane at The Kathrine Wheel.
Kate asks us to join her each month by submitting a Journal/Calender Page for the coming Month, so now it's April, that's what I have done!

I have coloured my pages using Dylusions spray inks again (Oh how did I ever manage without them!) This time I have chosen the yellow and orange. There are 12 of these inks and the colours are just gorgeous. I have 6 so far, but hope to get the others very soon.
I have also used the Dylusion Leaf rubber stamps as well as others. These include the Dandelion stamp from Indigo Blu, and a little pointing hand from MME Lost and Found stamps. The tiny little birds are the new stamps from Craftwork Cards.
The labels are made using a very small Nestie shape, and I have stamped the date on them with a cheap office date stamp.

Thats it all done, hope April slows down and does not go as quick as March did~
