Me and My Best Friend~

Hello Girls~

Back to work today after a week off, and although I was not looking forward to it, it went OK and at least my awful cold has almost gone.

It's back to a colour I love today...Green, I just feel so happy when I use it, unlike yesterdays blue card...not very happy with it...blue is nice but not as nice as green in my opinion!

I have used one of the GF "Buddies" stamps. I have had this ages and think I have only used it once...cute or what? And look at his little dogs smiling face! LOL
I have Paper Pieced the boys hat and coloured the rest of the image with my Pro-Markers, these little acrylic black beads are really nice, I have them in a few different colours.
The border punch is by EK Success "Moroccan" style and is one of my oldest and a big favourite of mine. The sentiment is on the same set as the stamp.

What a Fairy Nice Day~

Hello Ladies,

It was quite a nice day outside today, but i can tell you it is quite cold out there. I did not get time this afternoon to do any crafting, I was ironing and watching the rugby, I am hoping I get a chance to do a bit tonight.

I made this card last night and have not made an Easel card for months. I like them, but prefer just regular "flat" cards. Anyway an easel card it it...
The stamped image is from my Pergamano Fairies (I have 6 of these altogether and they are all cute like this one.)

The papers are Memory Box again, this time the pad I have not used yet called Minuet. These are mostly blue and green colours.
I have used some American Craft ribbon in blue and brown and added some tiny sequin flowers. The flower in the corner is made using a Woodware punch. The image is coloured with Pro-Markers. The border punch is my latest MS punch, Oh I do love this one.

Oh No!.....Not Laundry Day~

Hello Ladies,
Thank you for the lovely comments on my latest Scrapbook Layout, I was so pleased that a few of you were inspired to do some Scrapbooking of your own...After all Scrapbooking is my first love!

I am back to cardmaking again tonight...This is because I was fortunate to win this gorgeous GF stamp called "Laundry Day" on Ebay. This stamp was on my list to try and buy next month at Harrogate, so I was delighted to win her on Wednesday for the great price of £4...Didn't I do well?

I have not used alot of DP on this card, wanted these big flowers to dominate, so kept papers simple. The image is Paper Pieced (her headband and a couple of the items of clothing in her basket). The rest of the image is coloured with Pro-Markers. The border punch and the butterfly punch are by MS, and the flowers are stamped on the papers, they are my new Hero Art sets. I have used a touch of Stardust stickles.

I started to make this card earlier on, but stopped for the two rugby matches, managed to finish them off now.

My 50th Birthday Scrap-page LO~

Hello Ladies~

Oh dear I am full of with cold, it only came on the day before yesterday and I just cannot stop sneezing. I am ok in myself, my fuzzy head is slightly better than yesterday...it has not stopped me doing anything but having this week off work, I could have done without it...
I am off out tonight. It's a friends Birthday and I have been invited for a few drinks at her house (Oh I can feel a "Vase" of G&T coming on!!)

I am taking this Scrapbook LO page with me tonight, a few of the girls who are in the photo will be there and they have not seen it.
I had a bit of a vision on how I wanted this page to look, and in the latest Scrapbook Inspirations magazine I saw something quite similar and so this is what I eventually came up with.

It's been ages since I have done any Scrapbooking, and I was starting to get withdrawal symptoms, I love to use my papers in this way. I have been slightly carried away with cards lately, so it was so nice to do this LO today.

The papers I have used are a mix of K&Co and PaperMania, and the bunting is made with my new Hero Art stamp, as you can see I made a bit of a wheel with it too.
Round the edge of the circle and the border I have used my MS punch.
For the "fancy" edge around the circle I cut my 12x12 paper into 2" strips and then punched one edge,I then drew a sort of "bucket" shape and cut it out. This does not have to be accurate, as long as it's thinner at the bottom to give a fan type shape. I then use this shape to make all the other "buckets", I think I have used about 16 of them, but this will vary on the size of the circle. I have then inked the edges with Walnut stain. I added double sided tape to the back of the circle and then overlapped all the "buckets" going around from one side to the other...The only thing you have got to make sure of, is that you keep the edges that show over the top of the circle, the same length so it looks nice and even.
Hope I have made that clear...I am not very good at explaining, better at showing!
I am really pleased with the finished result, although the photograph could have done with being a bit clearer and brighter~

Would you believe I did find 2 challenges for this page~

Happiness is being together~

Hello Ladies~

Hope I find you all well on this "Wet" Wednesday.
A big thank you to all my lovely followers, your comments are very welcome and make my day~

I made a card last night using one of the adorable new LOTV images. This one is stamped courtesy of my friend Shelley (thank you Shelley, it is lovely).
I have coloured the image with Pro-Markers. Again my papers are (yawn!) Memory Box Brioche and Gossamer, Sorry I just can't stop using them! I have used my Oval nestie shapes for the image and sentiment. I have used the small NS flower punch with a Marianne leaf die.

Oh Boy~

Hello Girls,

Glad to report I finally have heating....OMG how we get used to central heating being on whenever we need it! We have really felt the difference in places like the hall and bathroom...Brrrrr..
Anyway it's done now. Good Stuff~

I have managed to have an "extra" play today while waiting in for Gas Man...And I decided to do a boy's card. I adore this little boy with the oversize hat, I think I have only just used him on a card about a fortnight ago, but I wanted to use him again and I needed a boys card for a coming Birthday.
I have used some of my new Memory Box papers, this time from the "Brioche" pack...Sorry but you are going to see lots of these papers, I just cannot stop using them....and I have 90 sheets!!

The stamp is a Morehead, they do a girl version too, but when I bought this one I did not see the girl one, I have used Pro-Markers to colour. I have used some buttons and ribbon from my stash and this sentiment is the "Delight" from Hero Arts.

Sweet Stop Sketch~

Hi Girls,

Well I am feeling much better today, which is ironic, as I am due back to the doctors for blood tests on Wednesday.

Today it was my "Cut & Chat" group meet up. (Crafting for two hours with friends,).
I was so looking forward to it..(I missed the last one as it was the day my sister had her plaster put on and I took her for it) Anyway thank you for another lovely day girls.

I started to make this card at C&C and then finished it off at home.

For this card I have used three sheets from my new Memory Box Gossamer Paper, it is the most gorgeous paper I have ever used. I like every single sheet, which is rare as when I buy a pad, there are always a couple of sheets I am not too keen on....but not in these pads.
The image is a hAngler and she is coloured with Pro-Markers, I have used my NS punch and added a few Hobbyhouse Pearls. The sentiment is a Hero Art stamp which I bought for my Scrapbooking (I also have another with "Delight" written on) they are just a lovely font aren't they?
I have followed this lovely Sketch at The Sweet Stop I like the simplicity of it.

Monochromatic Tree~

Hello again girls,

I made this card and the one in the previous post yesterday afternoon.
I love this "Hobby Art Stamp"-"Open Tree" and I use it a lot. I made a load of Note Cards for my Mother In Law using this stamp a while ago and she loved them. I have used it for men's and women's Birthday cards and it works for many other occasions too. I love the simplicity of it.

I have just stamped and embossed it and then used a few Hobbyhouse Pearls in Monochrome to finish off. The whole card is just matted and layered black and white, I love to do this. No messing with this image.

Our boiler has gone on the blink today at 2pm, so it's been a little cold here this evening (I can feel an early night coming on). Good job I have a whole week off, I can wait in for the Gas Man to call. Might as well do a spot of crafting while I am waiting! LOL

Springtime In February!!

Hiya Girls,

How are you all? Can I just say that you lot make my day! I just have to read your lovely comments and I am made up all day, they are a pleasure to read, thank you.
I would also like to say I am quite glad I am not the only "Flying Nutter" out there, you all sound as bad as me....that makes me feel alot better that I am not the only one.

Well I am feeling ok today considering I was drinking Cherry Beer all night last night! Hubby is the port drinker, I am not a lover of it, but the fruit beer is lovely, and the company at the Foxfield pub is always great.

I know it's not long ago I used this Digi Mo image, but I just love it, and couldn't wait another minute to make another card using it. I hope you like my Bright and Breezy "Spring" card....I am so looking forward to it getting nicer weather, but still trying not to wish my life away.
We were told there was more snow on the way, so it may be a few weeks yet before I can go out without my coat on!

My second parcel came yesterday and It contained my three pads of Memory Box papers...OMG they are just stunning. Brioche, Minuet and Gossamer, I love every single sheet. I just couldn't wait to start using them and picked this gorgeous Green tiny dotty paper from the Minuet pack. The coloured dotty paper is from the Brioche pack.
The corner punch is a MS, the flowers punch is NS and the leaf die is a Marianne (without the bird). The image is coloured with Pro-Markers.

It is my lovely sisters Birthday tomorrow and I am treating her to a meal in our local Chinese Restaurant sometime in the week. As some of you know she broke both her ankles four weeks ago and she has said she is so looking forward to getting out the house, and what could be better than Chinese food, both of us love it!

It is my Cut & Chat monthly meet up tomorrow, don't have a clue what I am making there yet, but hopefully it will be something I can share with you at a later date.

My Favorite Colours~

Hello Ladies, And a big hello to all my New Followers, it's lovely that you have joined me, thank you and hope you like the wee creations I come up with~

I had a bit of a spend the other day...I know I cannot afford it, but I just didn't care!! Well one of my "three" parcels (I know, I said THREE!) came and I had ordered this adorable Tilda. She is not every bodies cup of tea I am sure, but I just love her. She reminds me of a flight attendant (or trolley dolly to be un-pc!)

It's a bit weired because the thing I am most frightened of in the whole world (besides someone hurting my children!) Is FLYING!......Oh sorry...I think I just Fainted!!
I hate it so much it has ruined many a fabulous holiday. In fact I have almost stopped going anywhere I cannot drive or walk to. Two years ago I did the shortest journey possible (Amsterdam) I think I was in the air about 35 minutes in total, ~ and I made a right fuss, couldn't wait to get off. I was crying and could smell fuel and saw the overhead locker move....you name it I saw it, I never move either I cannot tell you what the loo looks like, never been in one!!!!!!

Anyway no more flying talk or I will have nightmares, mind you in my dreams I am always doing the FLYING. LOL

SO~ I was saying before I went off on one..Tilda, she's so sweet and I have Paper pieced her little suit, and wheelie case. I have used Pro-Markers on her hair and skin. I love my green as you know and I have teamed it with brown tonight. This green paper is Crate Paper and I love it, so bright and fresh against the brown. I have used an Inkadinkado sentiment, some Sweet Sassy American ribbon, and the lovely delicate punch is an Anna Griffin.

I am off out tomorrow night, it seems ages since Hubby and I last went for a drink. We are going to a favorite pub of ours about 15 minutes away and we go by train there and back, it's a lovely village old world pub with real ale. Tomorrow is Port and Cheese night, so should be really nice (it usually is). Not out late but it's an early start, and we eat curry there too, what more could you want...Well perhaps Johnny Depp to come in and sit by me!!

Brown and Cream Delight~

Hi Girls~

What a super day today, the weather was good, positively warm.
Work could have been better, however I felt a bit better in myself today, better than I have for ages, so that's good!

Had a play tonight and followed the challenge at Passion For Pro-Markers with this colour combo. Don't think you can ever go wrong with Brown and ?, in this case Cream! Brown and anything is a winner with me.

I adore GF stamps and this is one I have had a few months now, she is so sweet, I just love her hair. I have inked and embossed her and coloured her with Pro-Markers. This lovely sentiment is one of Lynne's freebies, she has a lovely range of digi and stamp sentiments, go take a look "Sentiments for You" here:

The DP I have used are all MME and the cream cardstock is core-dinations.
I had a little treat today on Create and Craft. They were selling core-dinations cardstock in colour families and I bought two lots, it was a really good price, the 12x12 sheets worked out at 32p each~ Bargain if you ask me, I bought brown/cream and green/green.

I have finished the card with some Hobbyhouse gems (desperate for more of these, I now have no brown or red ones left!!, good job I am going shopping for more in March!!) The swirl is a Marianne die and the flowers are NS. Me and Vicky love this flower punch, I hope you do too.

Sitting Pretty Tilda~

Hello Girls~

I have been to work this morning and then after lunch I have taken my sister out shopping. I offered to do the shopping for her, but she is climbing the walls with her leg in plaster, so she wanted to go out with me. As the weather here today is gorgeous, she couldn't have picked a better day.

I have had a little play and come up with this Tilda card. I wanted to do a "spring'ish" card (Is that a real word?)
As you all know "green" is my favorite colour, don't need much persuading to make spring green cards!

It is ages since I have used this cute, sitting Tilda. I had some of these sweet fences stamped out and decided to pop Tilda on top. I think these papers are MME, but not 100% sure, and I have used my scalloped nestie and a sentiment by Penny Black called "Spring Magic". The image is coloured with Pro-Markers.

Dreaming Daisy~

Hi girls,

Had a cleaning morning, and have had a little play this afternoon.

Hope you like the card I came up with. I think the image is a Sugar Nellie and I think I remember she is called "Daisy", she is not one of my own stamps unfortunately, she has been stamped for me by my friend Bev (a while ago now).

I used her last year on a card for a friend's Birthday, I forgot I had her stamped, so here she is. She is lovely to colour as she's quite a big image and I love the flower ring in her hair, you can colour them to match your papers.
I am not sure where this green paper came from, think it's a Basic Grey sheet, and the orangey flower paper is MME. I love this hexagon Nestie, it's one of my favorites. The big flower is a woodware punch, not sure what make of punch the tiny flower is, but it's so cute and just right to add some tiny hobbyhouse pearls in the middle.
I have added a rub on "Dream", sentiment. I think "Daisy" looks like she is dreaming of Summer (Me 2).

LOTV Challenge~

Hello Girls~

I have had a little time tonight, so was able to make this LOTV card for their challenge. I am desperate for some of their new stamps (19th March!!)I have seen some of you use them...Mind you I am bit stuck for which ones I should buy. I like the image Christine has just used, with the boy and girl sitting on the swing, backs to us, and I like the pom pom fairies, oh and the tea party....will have to see how many I can afford.

Anyway tonight's card: LOTV Sketch and image, I have used some leftover paper from a while ago, some lace I bought in Hobycraft by the yard (they had quite a few different styles) and a pink gem sentiment. Image is coloured with pro-markers. the flowers and pin are from my stash.

Lady in Pink~

Hello, Yes it's me again~

I made this card last night before I went to bed. I really like this image by Penny Black "City Divine", I have used her a few times for friends Birthday's. I have given her a bit of a bright "Red" hairdoo tho. It's a good job I don't do that to my Nana's hair. LOL

I have not followed a sketch, used one of my old favorite's, the papers are Nit Wit again, and "Sally" (as I like to call her!) is coloured with Pro-Markers.
I am turning into the "Pink" queen, whats wrong with me? I am going to have to go back to "Green" soon or I will go mad!!

Collecting Sea Shells~

Hiya,
Hope you are all ok. Thank you to all who wished me well, glad I am at the docotrs tomorrow as I am feeling no better today.

I hope you like this little "Stamps happen inc" stamp called "Collecting Sea Shells"...I bought this stamp off a friend who was selling it at a local craft sale, didn't I do will?

I feel the card is a tad monochrome, did not mean it to look so pink! Although I have followed the Brown/pink challenge at Crafts 4 Eternity, I think I should have coloured the girls dress in a slightly different, contrasting colour, and not stuck with all pink!!
It's done now.

The lovely bsckground is cardstock, it's from the nit wit range. The flowers
and the leaf punch are NS. I have used my nestie's for the matting. Coloured with pro-markers.

Just Black & White~

Hiya girls,

What a funny day today, weather was supposed to be gorgeous and ended up with about 15 minutes of lovely sunshine, then it went all dull and has ended up quite cold.
As most of you know I do like my sport, and Rugby is no exception, so I have actually been watching it since 2.30 this afternoon....So not much of anything else getting done today.

I am not feeling too well at the moment (lady problems) so off to the doctors Monday after work, I am hoping she can find out what is wrong with me and make me better, I am quite fed up, waking up and feeling zapped all day! Not getting any peace from it at the moment, did not even go to Zumba today, and that's not heard of as I love it. I was just feeling so bad this morning, so gave It a miss. I did do a few jobs in the house, but it was late morning before I got going! Lets see what happens Monday~

I have chosen the Challenge over at Saturday Challenge for this card. I love this Crafty Individuals Flower stamp and have used it loads. I hardly ever mess about with it, I usually stamp and emboss it (that's what I have done today). Occasionally I have stamped it in a coloured ink, but I have never actually coloured it in.

I hope you like my new MS punch around the page. I have about 7 sets of these, but they drive me mad! (BUT I do love them!!)
Every time I use them I can never seem to get them spot on, it makes me so cross, 'cos I know it's only a matter of cutting your card to size...Anyway I have a few problems. I did have a slight problem with this one tonight, but think it looks ok. I used this punch on yesterday's card, but did not do the punch round the page bit.

Love Me, Love My Hat!!

Hi All~

Hope I find you all well. I am off to watch tv with Hubby in a mo, so a quick post from me tonight. Cannot believe it's the Weekend again already. I don't know ~ you go to work on a Monday, then it's Friday again before you realise!!

I hope you like my "Clean and Simple" card, the stamp I have used was bought in November and this is the first time I have had chance to used him. I love his little face, and big hat, he's so cute, do you agree? Looks to me like he has done something wrong and he is coming with a flower to say "Sorry"!

These lovely papers are a new purchase and are Papermania "Birdsong". If you have not seen them have a look they are really nice. Very natural colours, and have tree's and birds on them. I was amazed to get 25 12x12 sheets for £7.50, I thought that was a bargain.

The Little Man is coloured with Pro-Markers, and the border and corner punch is one of my new favorite MS punches, I think it's beautiful. I have chosen a rub on Love and added a few Hobbyhouse Pearls.

Just Sitting Here Taking It Easy~

Hiya Girls~

Quite a nice day here, was a bit foggy, but that has cleared now and it's actually been "Warm"!!! Well ok then...It wasn't cold!!

How are you all, ok I hope. I have had a wee craft after a busy morning, shopping, ironing, tattoo looking after!!
So here is what I came up with. When I first looked at this card, after I had finished making it, I thought it was far too busy, but the more I look at it the more I have got used to it.
What do you think....too busy!!

A CLOSE UP OF MY NEW LEAF DIE...NICE 'EH?

I bought this new Marianne die today in town, I saw it on a blog last week asked who made it and then found it in my local shop. It actually has a bird on the branch, but for this card I have cut him off...Poor birdie, sorry!
Its quite large, but actually I have joined two branches together for this one. The lovely image is a hAngler girl and I have had her ages. I do not own any of the stamps, this along with some others were stamped for me. I have coloured her with Pro-markers, and used lots of leftover papers from my stash. Edwin in RED~

Hi Girls~

Thank you for being so kind commenting on the story about my lovely Nana~
I did have to laugh at those of you asking if I cut fringes (Fluffy) and if I am a Hairdresser (Lindsey). Well I did do a course on hairdressing at school but that was in 1977!!!!!!!!!! I can only assume it is the same as riding a bike...You never forget the basics. When the children were young I could do their hair, not when they grew up tho, I am not that cruel. So No, I am afraid If I need a new job, hairdressing is not it!!

On to tonight's card. Sorry about the awful piccy, but my pc has been playing up and I spent over an hour sorting it out...Oh the air was blue.
I thought I would never get this card to show up!!

Well it's the cheeky chappy Edwin, poor bloke gets overlooked sometimes in favour of his better half, but I think he is cute and any chance I get I will use him. I have him dressed as Robin Hood and it's one of my favorites...Must get that one out again!

Who Love's Strawberries?

Hi All~

Gorgeous day here today (a tad cold) but I am not complaining as the very windy weather has gone away..Ye!

Been to my mum's today and cut and permed Nana's hair. Oh she does look gorgeous when it's done, and I love the fact that I can do something for her as often as I do. At 94 she wants for nothing, so to be able to go and do something that I know she needs doing is lovely for both of us. Even at 94 she is as sharp as a razor and is up on all the latest news etc, so having a conversation with her is a complete pleasure.
My sister is doing well, so thank you to all who have asked about her. She will be in plaster a few weeks more yet and will then need vital physio, but she is doing great and getting about a bit now too.

After my busy day I have had a play this evening and this is what I came up with...
The gorgeous image is courtesy of Mo's Digital Pencil, I adore her images and when I won last week on DP2, this is the image I chose. (Mind you I spent quite a few hours looking through them they are all so gorgeous).
NOTICE I have entered THIS card into her latest Challenge...Hoping Lightning strikes twice!!

The papers are from an 8x8 PM pad called Retro Floral and the image is coloured with Pro-Markers. The sentiment is just one I chose from my pc and printed off. The brad is from my stash and the border punch is the lovely MS hearts.

What A Hairdoo~

Hiya All~

What a dreadful day here, weather wise. I got all showered and hair done to go out shopping with my mum, shouldn't have bothered...I got soaked through.

I have not managed to have a play at all today until now, and tomorrow is work and then I am perming my Nana's hair in the afternoon. (I love doing her hair, she is 94 years old (or young!) and I cut her hair every 6 weeks and perm it every 12, so tomorrow is perming day). I might get chance to craft later in the day, but not until the evening.

Tonight I have joined in a couple of challenges that ask for "Wings".
This digi image was one of the four I won, I couldn't wait to use her, she is so cute isn't she?

The two papers I have used are one double sided My Mind's Eye Alphabet Soup. I like the small orange flower pattern side and the musical notes are on the reverse. I have used my Nestie for the image and a NS flower punch. She is coloured with Pro-Markers. I have not embossed the background myself, this co-ordinates cardstock is already embossed I used the reverse of it for my matting as it's a slightly darker shade, so complements the colours well.

What a windy day today. I popped to my sisters, house last night and I couldn't believe all the wheelie Bins on the floor and recycling bags strewn everywhere, that's how windy it was and is! Mind you I came in from work at 11am and that's me in now, not venturing out again until Zumba in the morning.

I have had a play this afternoon, but unfortunately I have to do the dreaded ironing later on, mind you I don't really mind it, just wish I was crafting instead.

I went away for the day yesterday with my friend Angie, we called in at the craft shop we visit a few times a year. I had no intentions of spending too much money as Angie and I are off for our weekend "Craft" shopping in Harrogate in March, and we are both saving like mad for that! BUT I saw some new Martha Stewart punch round the page punches and I just couldn't help myself...I bought two!! I know, it was a bit greedy, I should have bought just one, but I did not know which one to get...Honest!!

Onto today's creation. I have chosen the theme at Totally Papercrafts who have set Friendship (always a nice one in my book!)
I have not used this Mo Manning stamp for ages, and I have always liked it, perfect for a Friendship card, don't you think? I have coloured the girls with copic markers, and cut out a circle and scalloped circle with my Nestie's.
I have used one of my new MS punches, but I should really have punched it on plain cardstock as it is very hard to see on this brown checked card. I will use it again soon and hopefully you will be able to see the lovely bubble pattern a bit better.

The blue glitter dot cardstock is by Personal Impressions (Lynsey Mason Designs) called "Snowball Blue", I bought the pink and green version of this too, very fresh looking I think. I have added a bit of blue ribbon from my stash, and I have also used the NS flower punch again. The Sentiment also by Personal Impressions isn't that curvy shape, I shaped it like that on the acrilic block so that I could follow the curve of the Nestie circle, think it looks ok!!

Something a bit different for me~

Hello All~

I was having a bit of a missing mojo moment last night, but because I had time to craft couldn't decide what I was going to do. Then I thought Ah ha (no not the pop group) My blog friend Vicky, she has just made a couple of sets of cards all of the same theme. They looked lovely.
I knew somewhere I had a few sheets of Betsie and Bob toppers. I eventually came across them and started to make these cards. They were easy enough to do as all the colouring is done for you. I did go over the pre-coloured toppers with pro-markers just to add some shading, and then found matching card stock.

I am sorry that my photo taking is appalling, I promise I will try harder next time..He He!

It's not the normal style of card for me, but, missing mojo means making something out of my comfort zone.
I have a craft fair coming up in March, so hopefully someone will like them. I do think the images themselves are very cute and would be lovely for a friends Birthday, I have never seen them as stamps before, and think I bought them on QVC, but it was a while ago now. Hope you like them.

I am not entering them into any challenges, but just thought I would show them anyway.
