Sweet Stampin' "Not Cute".

Hi there Ladies~

This Week at Sweet Stampin' our theme is "Not Cute"....Now then what can be classed as Not Cute!!
Our Sponsors this week are Hobby House (on of my favourite stores!)

I am hoping my card for today Is Not classed as Cute, it's been made for one of my Daughter's Friends Birthday.

It is a wee bit "Spotty" but that's what the girls had asked for, they wanted it girly and party like!!
It's that alright!
The cardstock is by Anna-Marie, the flowers and the Bunting are by Di-Namic's. I have used a MS punch for the edge, all finished off with Hobby House wonderful pearls.

Must get back to something more grungy asap......LOL

Before I sign off I would like to tell you about a DT call we have over at Sweet Stampin', it's a fab team to be part of so why not nip over and see what is required to join our fab group.

Dress Up Doll Time!

Hi Girls
Another glorious day here, a slight breeze, but that stops you feeling too hot in my book. Not very good if you want to craft outside tho', and I LOVE doing that when I get a chance.
It would have been nice to do my Paint Primer on my MDF outside, but unfortunately I have ran out of Gesso and am waiting for my order to arrive!!

Anyway I digress.....
My Mum came for tea tonight so after she left I had a wee play.
In a couple of weeks I am running a Workshop for my lovely Cut n' Chat Ladies (at My craft group) and we are all playing "Dress up Dolls" with the Big Prima Doll Tags, so while I was cutting some dolls out, I decided to have a play!! Well it would be rude not too!!

So this is what I came up with.
The Papers were all freebies from a magazine, the wooden butterfly is handmade by a local lady and I bought them at a Craft show a few months ago. The flowers are all from my stash. I have pp the Dolls clothes and her hair and skin are coloured with Pro-markers.

Hello Ladies

I hope I find you all well, and your weather is better where you are than it is here in The Lake District!

I am afraid it's ages since I last posted, but to be honest it's none stop here.
Not only have I had one commission after the other (not complaining there tho', lots of dosh for craft supplies), but my lovely Nana (who is 96) has not recovered from her fall 12 weeks ago and can no longer live with my Mum like she has done for the last 22+ years, so it's been a very emotional few weeks getting her moved to a nursing home from Hospital, that is happening tomorrow, so my Sister and I are trying hard to support my Mum at this time.

Also I have a lot of "Crafty Stuff" coming up over the Summer, Summer Workshops and Summer School so here is a little picture of how busy I am gunna be!!

Eh Ye!! And this is NOT IT ALL.

Looking forward to showing you all what I have done with this blank MDF.

That's all for now, see you all soon.

"Something Sweet" at Sweet Stampin'!

Hi Ladies~
Hope you are enjoying this lovely weather, how nice finally seeing the Sun Shinning.

Saturday means another Challenge over at Sweet Stampin'.
Our Sponsor this week are Iva Nova Chest.
I was really pleased to hear that the Theme for this week was ~"Something Sweet~".
A few weeks ago I bought a New Stamp Set from Chocolate Baroque Called "Honey Bee" and was dying to use it....So Something Sweet was a perfect theme to use this lovely stamp set.

I am slightly unhappy with my colouring. I decided to use my Tim Holtz Distress Markers to colour, but when I then tried to move the ink around with a water brush it did not work...I can only think the paper that I stamped on was not the right paper for the movement to happen. More practise needed I think!
Saying all that, I do love the stamp set and there are 6 large stamps to this sheet, as well as some small bee's, the bee hive and foxglove are especially nice.

I have used some Graphic 45 lemon coloured card stock for the base. I then used the honeycomb stamps all over the background. Finally I stamped, cut out and coloured the larges Sunflower.
All coloured with Distress Markers.

Nice and Hot here!

Hi Girls~

Sorry I have been MIA lately, but I have a couple of Scrapbook Commissions on the go and they have taken priority over any "Playtime"!

I do have a card to show you today tho'.
I made this a week ago for my Mum who is due a Hip Operation.
Unfortunately the hospital have put the Op back two weeks, so instead of it being just after her Birthday on Monday June17th, it's now July 3rd. I hate it when that happens, I know it's a part of life but when you get all worked up and ready for it to happen, the move stresses everyone out. Anyway here is the Get Well card I have made her for WHEN I can give it her!

I have used my Poppy Stamp from Inkilicious, love this. I have stamped it on some Graphic 45 Paper (Secret Garden Set I think!) the background brown paper is a sheet of S.E.I Nougat Collection.
The Get Well stamp is a LOTV. The lovely punched edge is made with one of my MS punches.

Had a lovely Bbq in the garden yesterday which was so nice and hot too. Then was so pleased to see my favourite act win BGT. I won't say who incase you have not seen it yet!
