How time flies when ya having fun!

Hello Ladies

As the title says.....where does time go, can u believe it's the middle of June already?
Scary.....My Daughter's Wedding is creeping nearer and nearer (3rd September)....Looking forward to it, but please go slower!

I have made a few cards for my Daughter's work friends, so here they are....

The top card is made using a Woodware stamp, love this set, I think it's nice to make a card other than a 6x6 which is my favorite size...I think this image looked better on this longer size.
The other two cards are made using the pre-coloured LOTV baby images, so very useful when you are busy....and busy for me at the moment means.......Football. Not missed a match yet, so gunna finish now, cos u guessed it.....I am waiting to watch Italy play Ireland.....c ya. X

What a nice crafty day today.

Hello Ladies

What a nice spell of warmish weather we are having, hope this is the way it's gunna be this coming Summer!

Today I have been to the Craft Group I run once a month on a Monday. We had a lovely crafty day, I was making lots of covers for the note books I make (i will show these soon)
Two hours of chat and craft (that is why the group is called "Cut n' Chat"!!)..

I couple of weeks ago I made this little wallet for my Daughter's work friend.
They are giving a voucher to a newly Engaged couple.
The image is by LOTV (a topper, no colouring by me today!)
The wallet, I make myself from an A4 sheet of cardstock. I have covered this cardstock in a sheet of little heart paper from my stash and added a pretty ribbon to tie it with. The sentiment is pc generated.
Didn't think to show the inside of the wallet, there are two little pockets one on each side to put a message and the voucher in. Make a lot of these at Christmas for people who want to give a voucher/cash instead of a pressy.

Inky Play for me today!

Hi Ladies

Had a day off from Sewing today, after a three day sewing spree, I have had an "Inky Play".
At Port Sunlight on Saturday last weekend the lovely lady Jean on Crafty Individuals was demoing stamping one of their new stamps, and I just couldn't resist buying it and having a go today to see if I could replicate what she showed me.....I am really pleased at how easy it was and such fun too.
My m-i-law, loves her "Notelets", so she will be getting a set of these any day soon.
Hope you like them....The original card had a spot of decoupage on it, but I don't do this if they are for a notelet as it makes them too thick. But they did look lovely with the flower and butterfly in 3d.
When I make some more I will try the decoupage and see how they look.

I started with a sheet of Crafty Individuals glossy cardstock.
Using several of Tim Holt's distress inks I used some lovely brushes to apply a light layer of ink. Some of the images have just two inks one on each half, others have several colours on.
I then used a Memory Box stencil in chicken wire and used ink through to add depth.
I stamped the Crafty Individual flower stamp using Versafine jet black ink.

I am going to join in on Crafty Individuals blog challenge below:

Crafty Individuals Challenge

Have a lovely day in this nice warm spell we are having.

Crafting like a Mad Woman!!

Good afternoon all from sunny Cumbria!
Makes a nice change from all the rain we have been having!

So what have I been up to the last few weeks?.....I have been crafting like a "mad woman" as the title suggests.

Near to where I live (15 miles away) there is a yearly "Steam Gathering Show" and it is fantastic. They have a wonderful craft Tent with lots of stalls selling different handmade goods.
I have tried for a couple of years to have a stall at this two day show, but alas it has had a waiting list and I have missed out.
The good news is, I had a telephone call from the organiser saying I have a stall for this year, so I am really pleased.
It is not until the end of July, but as it is over two days and gets thousands of visitors, I have been full on crafting, and sewing.....yipeee, love it!

I have lots of lovely fabric in my craft room, I bought some more this week on a day out too.
I make a lot of Debbie Shore's little beach bags, love making them as they are not that hard to do, and they look really nice. I sell most of them and give some as gifts, I have been making lots of them. They don't take a lot of material, and I use up to 3 different fabrics for one bag, including a lining,
I have added a link for you to see the step by step from Debbie herself, go and have a go they are addictive. (I made 5 yesterday adn have made 3 more today already)!!
The link to her little bag is here:

I have also had a load of orders from my Daughter's work friends, so here are a couple of the cards I made for her.

I need to make a few more items that children can buy for themselves, so any ideas I would be glad of please.
Last year i bought a MRMK pinwheel kit and these little Windmills went down a treat, so i will be making more of them, but not sure on other thing, so message me if you can think of anything. Ta. X

Sad but was the time to go...

Hi Girls

Just thought I should tell you all I have decided to call it a day at the "Sweet Stampin'" Challenge.

I want to thank all the girls in the Team for their continued support and help over the years.
You are a lovely bunch of girls and i will try to keep in touch via blog visits.
I remember when Fiona asked me to join the team all that time ago, and I was delighted and shocked that someone liked my work enough to ask me to join a team.

I left a message on the SS blog yesterday in reply to Abi's message, but did not get a chance to say goodbye to the girls in the group at that time. I cannot now get on to see any replies as it is closed to me now, so anyone want to message me please do so on here.
All the best to all at SS, continued success.

Tags.....Make or use one on a project..

Hi Ladies

Another Saturday is on us and another Challenge Time at Sweet Stampin'....This week it's one of my favorites.....Tags...so tags on a your project or like me make a Big Tag!
Our Sponsors this week are JFF.

I love making these, and usually use a Prima Big Doll on them as these large tags are especially made for them.
This time I chose another of my favorite Stamp company's, Stamping Bella, and this one is "Uptown Girl Paisley has a Prezzie"....Isn't she just gorgeous?

I have used a Big Tag from the Prima Tag Set. Added ink through a hexagon mask, then added some script paper from an American Craft's pad. I finished with some big enamel dots and some lace. The image is coloured with Copic's.

Our sponsors this week are STIX 2.

My Neice's Daughter "Iris" is 4 next month so this was an ideal opportunity to make her card with a "4" on it!!
I started with a Craftwork Cards blank scalloped 6x6 card and used some leftover papers from my stash in  flowers and cakes.
I stamped the "Iris" using a set from Stampavie by Suzi Blu called Alphabet Upper.
I have die cut a Balloon and added the sticker 4.

Sweet Stampin' Challenge...

Hi Girls...
Another Saturday and can you believe it's March already? No...neither can I.
So this week the Challenge at Sweet Stampin' is "Unusual Hair Colour"! I know, I struggled with this one too....but there again any image can be coloured in a non-traditional hair colour way, you just have to think outside the box!! lol
I have used a Leanne Ellis image for my little ATC, hope you like it..
Our Sponsor's this week are Crafts and Me.

I am a little excited at the mo, as it's only 6 days then I am off to Benidorm with my Sister and Mum...Oooo yipeeeee. I believe it's quite hot at the moment, so a bonus when it's so cold here.

I have stamped this little image and coloured with Aqua Markers, which I used in a watercolour way.
Sweet little two and a half by 3 and a half size.

All you need is Love at Sweet Stampin'...

Hello All

February already, and as it's a Saturday, it's Challenge Time at Sweet Stampin'. This week with Valentines Day being round the corner, the Theme is "All you need is Love". Pop over and have a go. This week we are playing just for fun, but it's a nice challenge so go have a go why not.

No card from me today on this latest challenge. I have been making several of these mdf hearts and thought it perfect for the "Love" challenge this week. Hope you like it.
I painted the heart with gesso primer then Dovecraft Almond paint.
The lovely butterfly stamp is from a fairly new company called "Visible Image", here is a link to the web site, they are a super company and the stamps they produce are very different and sweet. http://visibleimage.co.uk/.
I have added a sentiment stamp from Inkilicious, a few splatters from an old SU set of stamps and some Hobbyhouse pearls, the tiny flowers are from my stash...These hearts from the MDF MAN come in several sizes, this one is about 6" wide and is a medium size.

Vintage or Shabby at Sweet Stampin'...

Hi everyone

Hope you all had a great Christmas and New Year and you are all back to "Craft Land" with a smile......I am, and have great plans for 2016, so watch this space!

So....A Saturday in January means....Challenge time at Sweet Stampin'. "Vintage or Shabby" is the theme, so go on have a go and try to win some goodies from our sponsors "Live and Love".

I have made a 60th Birthday card for a friend of my Daughter's, so decided to use this as a Vintage Theme, hope you think it's nice! Although it's a touch too "pink" for my liking!!

The papers are from a pad I bought recently in The Works, the bunting is one of my all time favorite Memory Box dies (it's a wonder this die cuts the amount I use it!) The lovely vintage sign sentiment is a stamp by Anna Griffin.
