What a nice crafty day today.

Hello Ladies

What a nice spell of warmish weather we are having, hope this is the way it's gunna be this coming Summer!

Today I have been to the Craft Group I run once a month on a Monday. We had a lovely crafty day, I was making lots of covers for the note books I make (i will show these soon)
Two hours of chat and craft (that is why the group is called "Cut n' Chat"!!)..

I couple of weeks ago I made this little wallet for my Daughter's work friend.
They are giving a voucher to a newly Engaged couple.
The image is by LOTV (a topper, no colouring by me today!)
The wallet, I make myself from an A4 sheet of cardstock. I have covered this cardstock in a sheet of little heart paper from my stash and added a pretty ribbon to tie it with. The sentiment is pc generated.
Didn't think to show the inside of the wallet, there are two little pockets one on each side to put a message and the voucher in. Make a lot of these at Christmas for people who want to give a voucher/cash instead of a pressy.

Inky Play for me today!

Hi Ladies

Had a day off from Sewing today, after a three day sewing spree, I have had an "Inky Play".
At Port Sunlight on Saturday last weekend the lovely lady Jean on Crafty Individuals was demoing stamping one of their new stamps, and I just couldn't resist buying it and having a go today to see if I could replicate what she showed me.....I am really pleased at how easy it was and such fun too.
My m-i-law, loves her "Notelets", so she will be getting a set of these any day soon.
Hope you like them....The original card had a spot of decoupage on it, but I don't do this if they are for a notelet as it makes them too thick. But they did look lovely with the flower and butterfly in 3d.
When I make some more I will try the decoupage and see how they look.

I started with a sheet of Crafty Individuals glossy cardstock.
Using several of Tim Holt's distress inks I used some lovely brushes to apply a light layer of ink. Some of the images have just two inks one on each half, others have several colours on.
I then used a Memory Box stencil in chicken wire and used ink through to add depth.
I stamped the Crafty Individual flower stamp using Versafine jet black ink.

I am going to join in on Crafty Individuals blog challenge below:

Have a lovely day in this nice warm spell we are having.

Crafting like a Mad Woman!!

Good afternoon all from sunny Cumbria!
Makes a nice change from all the rain we have been having!

So what have I been up to the last few weeks?.....I have been crafting like a "mad woman" as the title suggests.

Near to where I live (15 miles away) there is a yearly "Steam Gathering Show" and it is fantastic. They have a wonderful craft Tent with lots of stalls selling different handmade goods.
I have tried for a couple of years to have a stall at this two day show, but alas it has had a waiting list and I have missed out.
The good news is, I had a telephone call from the organiser saying I have a stall for this year, so I am really pleased.
It is not until the end of July, but as it is over two days and gets thousands of visitors, I have been full on crafting, and sewing.....yipeee, love it!

I have lots of lovely fabric in my craft room, I bought some more this week on a day out too.
I make a lot of Debbie Shore's little beach bags, love making them as they are not that hard to do, and they look really nice. I sell most of them and give some as gifts, I have been making lots of them. They don't take a lot of material, and I use up to 3 different fabrics for one bag, including a lining,
I have added a link for you to see the step by step from Debbie herself, go and have a go they are addictive. (I made 5 yesterday adn have made 3 more today already)!!
The link to her little bag is here:

I have also had a load of orders from my Daughter's work friends, so here are a couple of the cards I made for her.

I need to make a few more items that children can buy for themselves, so any ideas I would be glad of please.
Last year i bought a MRMK pinwheel kit and these little Windmills went down a treat, so i will be making more of them, but not sure on other thing, so message me if you can think of anything. Ta. X
