Box Frame for Carly~

Hi Girls~
Hope you are all well, thank you for the lovely comments you have left for me, you are all so sweet.

I have another Box Frame to show you tonight. I made one a few weeks ago and I really enjoyed it
I knew that in a couple of weeks it's my Hairdressers 1st Wedding Anniversary, and as she loves all my Handmade Altered Art Items, I decided to go for the Box Frame.

I have photographed it out of the Frame aswell as in it. Sometimes the photo is better taken before it's framed up.

The papers used are by Pion (a new company to me), these papers are stunning. I think i bought about 6 in all. The little Girl image is also from a sheet. The other papers used are the Graphic 45 "Place in Time". The pearls, pins, gems, roses and lace are all Hobbyhouse.
The large doily is a Docrafts x cut die, although it is very intricate, it's a doddle  the other embellishments are all from my Bit Box. The Stamped Sentiment is from Hero Arts.

LOTV Teddy Circle Heaven!

Hi Girls

Hope you are all well, and looking forward to a few days off over Easter (if you are lucky).

I have been busy making cards for all my Daughters lovely work friends (ooo they do keep me going and it's a bit of dosh to put towards my next trip away craft shopping!)

I have only just got back from a Crafty Shopping trip to Harrogate. I always have a little spend on the LOTV stall (who doesn't). I had no intentions of buying these stamps I have used today, but once I saw the card example I just knew I had to have them!!
Oh my gosh are they not the cutest things you have ever seen, soooooo sweet and perfect for a little girls card, which is what i have used them for. There were two sets of three stamps, Oooo which to have...those or those......Oh I know BOTH SETS! I know GREEDY!, just don't tell my other half!

I have actually used two circle stamps from one set (with the prezzies) and one from the Flower set, they mix and match perfectly, thank you all at LOTV that works perfectly!
I have used LOTV pink background paper, and a piece of green from my box. I have coloured the stamps with Pro-Markers, the pearls are from Mei Flowers and the tiny flowers are K&co.

Medusa Lady~

Good Morning Ladies, hope I find you all well. hope you are not covered in snow like we are. Brrr...

A big thank you for all the lovely comments you leave for me, they are so nice to read.
As it is Saturday, it's Challenge Time at "Sweet Stampin'", the theme this week is "Lots of Layers".
Easy for me as I love Layers and more Layers.
Our Sponsor this week is My Mum's Craft Shop.

Sorry about the dreadful photograph, in real life it looks much nicer, quite pink, don't know if the background has caused problems with the deep colour too.
Hubby said when he gets time he will help me make a Light box to see if it will help.

I adore this stamp I have used on this card. It is part of a set I have had for quite a few years, it seems to work really well for young and teenage girls. Unfortunatly I have forgotten who makes her, think it's something like The Stamp Man, but not sure.
I always stamp and emboss her so she is shiny, I usually don't bother colouring her, although she does look nice coloured too. I have added a few Hobbyhouse pearls. I have also used a NS flower punch, the sentiment is by craftwork cards.
So as far as Layers go there are at least 6, so think that is good enough for this weeks Challenge!

Happy Times~

Hiya Girls~

What a fantastic day I have had today.
Once a month I run a Craft Group at a local Community Centre, and whenever possible I run a workshop to do some Alter Art at the same place with the same bunch of ladies. Today was the latter, and we have been altering a wooden House Hook.
As they are not quite finished yet, I don't have any pictures until next week, but they were looking stunning and the ladies seemed to enjoy all the techniques used.
We used flitter, Frantage, Stamping, Pan Pastels & Embossing to name but a few.

I Do have a project to show you. I made this little gift bag (along with four others) last night. They are to go with all my other makes to sell at a Local Craft Fair this Sunday.

I have use some of my new Kanban Cardstock in A4, this card has checks one end and spots the other, perfect for making these bags with, I added ribbon where the two different patterns meet.
This sweet image is a Hobbyhouse Topper which is of course a Mo Manning image. The ribbon is from my local market, pearls are Hobbyhouse too. The tall stalks and Doily are Memory Box and the Sentiment is LOTV.

Atishoo, Atishoo we all fall down!

Hello Girls~

I have been away for the weekend at GNPE, wow it was a great show.
Nice to meet Clarky (Janet) again, thank you for the lovely Easter/Spring chocolates, they were Yummy!

I had a great spend on most stalls, including The MDF Man. He is called Rob and he is a bit of a Nutter, but he is amazing and his MDF is so beautifully made (if you could ever call MDF beautiful!). I have bought other wood/mdf items in the past and had to sand all the edges and gesso all the porous surfaces before being able to decorate. NOT with Rob's stuff, it is of such high quality with beautiful smooth surfaces all routed and lovely, a fab price too.
I bought double figures of his stuff including this Little Tissue Box Cover.

Sorry about the mark on my wallpaper behind my project, that is where the tendril on my rubber plant tried to bash it's way through my wall!

I have used some New Craftwork Cards papers in a Shabby Chic style, these papers are really nice, and with them being very pale and muted in colour, they take Stamping very well.

I have painted the box in a Dulux Paint Pot tester in Putty colour, then cut all the squares of paper then inked the edges with black Soot. After gluing them on with Mat Medium, I stamped the Kanban Tall Flower on the front panel. I then cut a Spellbinders border fence die (this was a bargain on Once upon a Stamp, £5), and added that over the stamp with 3d foam.
The large Butterfly stamp is a Clarity Stamp.
All finished with some Hobbyhouse gems in Dusky Rose. I bought a very cheap box of tissues and popped the cover over the top.
Really pleased at how this turned out and it only took me an hour and a half, so a great quick project.

Box Frame~

Hi Ladies,
Hope you are all well. The weather has been a bit better this week (mind you it has rained a bit today!) but last week we had.....SNOW! in March, what the ....

I am off to GNPE Harrogate on Saturday and Sunday with my lovely friend Angie. We just love our twice yearly weekend away, and usually get up to no good!! If you knew Angie and Me you would know why! We are like "Nutter Magnets"! EVERY single time we venture out something happens, we just cannot help ourselves.
Last week when we popped out for a couple of hours craft shopping (what else), before we even got to the bottom of the street we were crying laughing. I tried to get comfy driving and was wriggling about, unfortunately I leaned on the car horn, it blasted out loud and long!! There was a bloke we knew getting in his car, he almost had a heart attack, sorry but it did look so funny. That was all it took for us to have the best day going.

So this weekend looks set to be another mad time, I can just feel it.
We are so looking forward to the show.

I have made a Frame Box for my Daughter and her work friends. A lady they work with is retiring and My Daughter has asked me to make her a pressy to give her along with the card and flowers.
This is a simple box frame from Asda (about £5) and I have used up some of my Stampin' Up papers.
The little Windmill is Stampin' Up too. The bunting die is from Di-Namics (my new favourite die).
The flowers are all from my stash, using as many as i could. The Pearls are Hobbyhouse (stroll on Saturday, as I am in great need for more of these!). The doily is a Teressa Collins die cut, and the gorgeous Butterfly stamp and butterfly's are a Inkadinkadoo stamp called tin Can Mail. The sentiment is pc made and cut out using a Nestie Shape.

If you see me at the GNPE, please give me a shout.

Sweet Stampin' DT Card~A Man Thing!

Hello Girls~

Goodness me March is here already, looks like this year is starting the same as last year...quickly..

So, It's Saturday, that means another Challenge at Sweet Stampin'. This week it's a challenge for the Men in our lives!, so the Theme is "It's a Man Thing". Our Sponsor this week is Cuddly Buddly.
Good Luck.

I have chosen to make this card for this weeks challenge. I have had this Stampavie "Flower Power Camper Van" for ages and have used it quite alot. Men seem to like a card made with this image and even though it has a few flowers on, I still think it passes as a Male image quite well.

These papers are all MME. The pearls are Hobbyhouse. I made the button myself (do this alot) I have cut about 6 small nestie circles, using the smallest die, and using any leftover card I have. I then cut another in the pattern paper and this is the top of the button, glue them all together and punch two holes through the middle, all finished with a string knot.
The image is coloured with Pro-Markers. The sentiment is a LOTV.

Violette~

Hi there Girls~

Another nice day here today, cold but dry, so it did not stop me going out for a walk.
I have been busy making Mother's Day cards all week (into double figures!)
So tonight I had a little play and did something a bit different. I love making "Tags" so that is what I have done. I have used this "Octopode Factory Lady called "Steam Punk Violette, ha ha, look at her strange "Clock" hair!

The background paper is from MME "Boardwalk" 6x6 pad, I have stamped a Butterfly image on top with an Inkadindado Stamp called Tin Can Mail, just love this. I have stamped and embossed Violette and then used some white acrylic paint to pop circles onto the tag, finished off with some ribbon from my stash.

Animal Scrap Page~

Hi There Girls~

I had a little play before bed last night and as I was itching to do a bit of Scrap booking that's what I did. I have finished it off today, adding the journalling.
The latest Challenge at "Once Upon a Sketch" has this lovely, simple sketch.

Another dreadful photo, sorry. I just cannot seem to get the light quite right.

I have used some SEI papers, and some stickers from a Carta Bella sticker sheet called Alphabet Junction. The photograph was taken quite a while ago at our local Zoo. We are very lucky that the South Lakes Wild Animal Park is only 3 miles away, so visits were a regular thing for us as a family when our children were young. David Gill (the Owner) built the Zoo solely by hand in 1993. He has a big Conservation programme for Tigers, Rhino's and other en-dangered animals, he is an amazing man and can still be seen building all the enclosures when you visit, well worth a look.

Tim's Tatty Flowers~

Hello Girls~

Last night before I went to bed (and whilst watching my all time favourite film "Gladiator", Russel Crowe with a big sword and wearing a skirt was just the ticket b4 bed!) I finished my project that I had started in the afternoon.
I adore Tim Holtz dies and none more than the Tatty Flowers. Over at Tim's blog here, he has a competition for anyone using the Flower Die, so get over and have a look at the great projects people are doing using them.

I have used some of Tim's Tissue Paper and have wrapped it round these little boards that fit in this frame. The frame and little squares are coloured with Tim's inks and then stamped on top with a script stamp. The Tatty Flowers are made using different papers from my stash, and the tissue paper too. All inked and distressed. The middle is finished with a Wooden Prima Button.
I have added some findings from my Tim Box of metal bits, all finished with some lace which I have distressed with inks and sprayed with Glimmer Mist.

Unfortunatly the photo does not do it justice, it's much more colourful in real life.
