Diddy Paper Gift Bag~

Hi Girls.

Not very nice weather here in Cumbria today....First rain we have seen in about 8 days!!
It has rained All Day too!
Good time to craft then!!

I have been Scrapbooking this morning, then Zumba on the Wii, then cleaning up, and cooking.
Tonight I have been having a "Play", and have made this little Paper Gift Bag. I wanted to join in with the latest Mo challenge at DP2 and they are asking for "Weather" related images,so I thought this one I have used is very "Summer"...What say's Summer more than Sunglasses, flip flops and Ice-Cream!!

I have used all leftover papers from my stash, didn't need alot as this little gift bag is only 5x7, I have also used a MS lace punch, a Hobby House Doily & Craftwork Cards Bunting.

Sailing Away~

Hello Girls.

Wow! Are you all enjoying the gorgeous weather we are having? It may possibly change a bit tomorrow, there should be a drop in temperature from 20. + to around 13., so should be a bit cooler, but still dry.

Just a quick make to show you tonight.
I have used a little "Warren" the Rabbit image from Craftwork Cards, ah what a cutie, and this time he is in a boat! I have quite a few of these ready to colour images of Warren he is seen covered in flowers, flying a kite and appropriately wearing a "Crown"!

I have used some Kraft card which I have embossed with a distressed brick wall (a Tim Holtz folder). The other papers are MME and paper from Stampin' Up. The button is by Prima and the punch is Fiskers. All the edges are inked with Tim's Walnut Stain.
Image is coloured with Tim Holtz distress markers, but I do prefer Pro-Markers for colouring in. Like to use Tim's best for direct to stamp technique.

Off on a Trip~

Hi Girls,

What a gorgeous day yet again, at this rate the Barbi will be out and food will be eaten outdoors....Oh stroll on, I do love chicken on a barbi!!

I have been rather busy today (yak, house work!!) but it did not go on for too long once I had got going, so had a little time to play aswell.
I like to join in when I can with the DP2 challenge and use a Mo Manning image (my favourite!)
This image is a new one for me, it's a topper, so have not coloured her myself, isn't she adorable?
She was bought from one of my favourite stalls at Harrogate craft show, Hobby House. Jill and Mark are the owners and are two lovely people. Jill's craft products are gorgeous, all top quality and just a bit different from the norm, she has a really good eye for what's on trend.

I have used two different double sided papers for this card.
The lilac sheet is from my new stash of Stampin' Up cardstock, which is really lovely. I have used both sides and they have large dots one side and script the other.
The small dots and pattern paper is from the latest Teresa Collins "Everyday Moments" 6x6 pad, and if you like "Blue's" you will adore this pad, every single sheet is beautiful. I have used one double sided sheet for this card.
Image is Mo Manning, little tickets are Wiff of Joy, button is Prima, Flowers are Hobby House and swirl is Sizzix.

Another Lovely Day~

Hello girls,

A big thank you for all the lovely comments you have left for me, I am glad you are interested in my Scrapbooking Layouts as well as my cards, that is so lovely of you all. Ta.

I have been busy Ironing today....but not just regular every day ironing,  Summer stuff out, Spring stuff away ironing. Do you know what I am on about!! I talk a right load of tosh sometimes!!!
I know what I mean, (I think i am the only one that does!!) LOL

Today's "project" is a Tag made for the Stampotique Designs Challenge and their theme is "Bright Colours"....nice and easy that one.

I have used a few of Tim's Inks to colour the background, a piece of book paper, a leaf stamp by Dylusions, a Hero Art's Sentiment stamp, and a Stampotique "Lady". My colouring has been done with Tim's Distress Markers.

Sisters Having Time Out~

Hello Ladies,

Well today was the nicest day weather wise we have had for ages, quite "hot"!

I started the day by going out for my usual walk with my friend Christine, and then I went to meet my other friends at our monthly Cut n' Chat group meet up.  It was great (always is) we do alot more "chat" than "Craft", but we have plans to do a mini Decco Book so over the next few months, so we should be "Crafting" AND "Chatting" for a change!!  Ha Ha

At the group I managed to ink up all the edges on the papers I have used on my latest Scrapbook Layout. Over at "Stuck!" they have this lovely sketch to follow, so here is my interpretation of it.

I started with this photograph of Me and my Sister Mandy, I love this photo as we were both having a well deserved sit down while the Children were playing in the Park.
We were having a short weekend break at Centre Parcs, Whinfell Forest in the Lake District.
We are really lucky as the Parc is only an hour and a half's drive away from us, so we can go early and leave late to make the most of our time there.

Sorry about the "crappy" photo taking, I MUST get lessons soon!!

The background paper is by Bo-Bunny, the Etcetra collection, I love the way this paper has coffee stains and spills all over it, perfect for a base to start with.
The other papers are all leftover bits and bobs from my stash, I have used a lovely wooden Prima button and a bit of old tape measure. The pearl swirls are from Hobby House. I have added a "Together" title by Inkadinkado, a journal block by LOTV and some tiny word stamps by Hampton Art. The only thing I have not done is popped the date on....can't seem to find it on the back of any of the photo's, so will have to pop the CD in my PC and have a look, we had so many trips to Whinfell that I cannot possibly guess when it was!

Sugar--Free For All~

Hiya Girls,

Just a quick post while I am watching "Titanic". My hubby always laughs when I watch Titanic on the TV. Why are you watching it on the TV when you have the special addition on Blu Ray he says...I will never know why I do half the things I do!! I live in my own little world, but I like it there!!

For my second post of the day.
Over at The Sugar Bowl it's a "Free for All"  (as long as you use a Sugar Nellie image,)  easy as I love SN stamps, so my dilemma was which one to use! In the end I settled for "Little Boots" , how sweet is she with her "Scruffy" hair!!

I also chose the Challenge over at Sweet Stamps as they wanted you to use your favourite colour and of course in my case that's "Green", oh how I love green.
The image is coloured with pro-markers, my papers are from my bit box, and the flowers are from Hobby House .

A Tag for ~Sweet Stampin'~

Hello Girls,

Another Saturday and that means's another challenge over at ~Sweet Stampin'~, and this week is the lovely theme of ...Angel or Fairy. Ooh everyone likes a "Fairy"!! Right?

Our Sponsor's this week are Emerald Faeries and the image I have used on my "Tag" is one of theirs,
go take a look at the fab digi images, and if you join in with us this week, you could win 2 images of your choice. Wow!

This is my Tag. Decided I needed a tag for a pressy and thought I would use the gorgeous Fairy image mixed with some leftover papers from my stash (waste not want not!)
I inked round the edge with red Tim Holtz ink.
The gorgeous little ticket is a set from Whiff of Joy and it comes blank but has several sentiments for you to stamp in the middle, love using this stamp set. The Swirl is a Marianne die. All finished off with some Hobby House pearls.

Hungry little Boy~

Hiya Girls,

Another "strange" day here again today weather wise. I have felt really cold and the rain and wind are back. (May has been a bit of a nightmare, just hope June is better!)

I have had a clean up of my craft room day..........Eh! not the best idea I have ever had!!!
I started at 10.30 this morning and (with the odd coffee break) was still at it five hours later!!
It looks great (for now!)  My friend Angie called round at 7 for a chat and a bottle of Vino, and she thought it looked nice too.  At least now I have a workspace to work at!

I managed to make a simple card after tea.
It's a circle shaped card and I have not made one of these for ages, so it made a nice change.

I have used my Marrianne large circle die for the actual card, and used this fab digi stamp by Mo Manning, Oh how cute is this boy and his Mutt! All coloured with Pro-Markers.

Human Statue~

Hello Girls,

Hope I find you all well and the weather is being kind for you!
It's mixed for us at the moment, one minute it's nice and sunny (but not hot) and the next it's really grey, windy and raining. No two day's alike, so plans cannot really be made on anything outdoors!!

I am well into my Scrapbooking at the moment, I am just loving it.
Over the last few weeks I have found more and more Blog Challenges for Layouts, so this one is made for two of them.

This Photograph is one of my All time favourites. This "Statue" is actually a "Girl", how amazing is that?

When we were in Dinar in France we actually saw her getting into her clothes and climbing up onto that tiny pedestal, it was no bigger than a dinner plate, incredible, and she remained there crouched down for ages! She was a tiny thing, about a size 6 in GB sizing and about 5 foot tall, but there was still the most incredible skill involved in standing four feet off the ground like that. The children loved the way she made very tiny moves every time someone put a coin on her money plate. We could have stood and watched her all day.

I have used several papers, Pink Paislee, Bo-Bunny, Stampin' up, Graphic 45 Basil Basics and  the circle paper is by Grace Taylor. The wooden button is by Prima, the metal is Tim Holtz, not sure who makes the metal flower tho'.

Kate, Me and Dyan~

Hello Girls,

Hope I find you all well.
It was quite a nice day here today, a tad chili, but sun out so not too bad at all!

I have made a Scrapbook Layout  this afternoon.

Some of you may recognise the two Ladies each side of me in the photograph....On the left is the lovely talented Kate Crane and on the right is the equally lovely and talented Dyan Reaveley..
I visited Dyan's shop (Art from the Heart in Harrogate) back in March and I was lucky that Kate was there too. My friend Angie took this picture of us all together having fun it was so nice to see them both, and Dyan's shop is full of fantastic goodies and has a great studio where she runs lots of classes, go take a look here:  http://shop.afth.co.uk/workshops-122-c.asp

For this Layout I have followed the Sketch from The Paper Variety and also joined in my favourite Scrapbook Blog "Bird is the Word"  with their chosen word of the moment "Smile", that one is easy girls!!

I have used a sheet of Grace Taylor paper in this nice red check as the background and I have added lots of bits of leftover paper from my box. I have handmade the paper roll up roses, added some black velvet ric rac ribbon, and some natural fibre ribbon too. The leaf is a new die I have just bought by Memory Box.

Sorry, photo could be a bit better, I am working on getting it clearer! Grrrr.

Frame it~

Hello Girls,

I had a fab day at Port Sunlight yesterday, it was very busy and I must admit a few things I went for had sold out, but it was a good day. The four girls I went with were great company, so thank you girls~

I want to share with you the "Frame" I have made for my Niece Leah, it is her Birthday on Wednesday and as her baby Iris is only 2 weeks old I thought I would make the frame with pictures of the little treasure in it!

These frames were originally from "clicks" the photo development store, this frame was kindly given to me by my friend Angie after I used all mine as gifts last Christmas. Thanks Ang!

I have used mostly Graphic 45 paper, this is lovely and has these little coloured butterflies on.
I have cut them out and used them individually for one side of the frame and then I have cut the paper several times from my oval scalloped Nestie for the other side. I have added a few embellishments and some ribbon from Mei Flowers. I have added a "No sleep, no dreams" Sentiment and some alphabet stickers saying Iris.

Sorry about the "Bad" photo, I struggle of an evening to get the best light!

Friends and Family~

Hi girls,

Hubby and Son are out watching the football (they won't be happy Bunny's as Liverpool lost the cup 2-1. Glad I watched it at home, the language will be awful where they are!)

I have had loads of time to have a little play, and as Scrapbooking is my First Love! That's what I have been up to.
This latest Layout is made using the lovely sketch over at Purple Pumpkin (just love that blog name, do you, it's so funny!)
This photo was taken way back in 2004.
We took my Daughter's Best Friend Sarah (this is who the 21st card I made on Friday is for) on Holiday with us. We are really lucky to have a Centre Parks very close by (about an hour and half's drive away), and we went for a nice long weekend's break.
The swimming area is always a winner (the kids would stay in there all day if we let them!) and this photo was taken of them, sat at the side of one of the many pool area's.

I have used a number of different papers from my leftover stash for this layout, also some Kraft card, a sheet of Basic Grey cardstock in blue and I made a large circle from a sheet of Stampin' Up paper.
I decided to add some dimension to the blue cardstock background, so used some Dylusion Ink Spray through a  Cubist stencil.
I have made a couple of flowers using Tim Holtz Tatty Flower Die. The flower brad is by Do-Crafts and the stamp in the corner is a My Mind's Eye Lost and Found Stamp Set.

I have coloured with Pro-Markers, my papers are all from my leftover stash.
The gorgeous pearls are by Hobby House. Ribbon is Mei Flowers, Sentiment is Lil' Crafts, and the border punch is MS.

Mo's Fairy Baby~

Hello Again Girls~

I have made a card using one of Mo's gorgeous images, this one is so sweet. (It is not the usual Digital version, I bought an acrylic stamp last year.)
I am however not very happy with the colour....It's a bit of a bright blue isn't it?  "A bit in ya face. "

The delicate blue and cream paper is by Stampin' Up and is one of my favourite paper company's at the moment. I have had several of their paper sets and they are all lovely. I have also used a piece of embossed card stock from Co-Ordinates.
The image is coloured with a mix of Pro-Markers and Copic's.
The pearls and pins, as always, are Hobby House (I don't use any others!) the ribbon is the new seam binding I bought at Harrogate and this is the first time I have used it. LOTV sentiment and a MS punch.

"May the 4th be with you!!"~

Ha Ha, did you get my title all you Star Wars fans!!!

What a funny day weather wise, there is light rain, but it is really warm.
Just got back from my morning walk with my friend Christine, we go out each day (just for 30-40 minutes)  either morning or afternoon depending on what we are up to. I am lucky as she lives very close by (in fact I can see her house from my garden!!)

I saw that Fiona (My boss over at Sweet Stampin'!) had used this beautiful Sugar Nellie image on one of her cards, and I thought "Have I got that stamp!!!" I really couldn't remember, but had a feeling I had.
I have about 8 plastic trays full of stamps and all my fairies and cute stamp are all put together, so I went on a fairy hunt!!

FOUND HER, and here is the card I made with her, hope you like it.

I have PP her clothes, love doing this. It's not always possible to do it, but with this image it was perfect.
The papers are Tim Holtz and Jillibean Soup, the ribbon is from QVC, Flowers are Hobby House, leaf punch is NS and this lovely "Fairy" sentiment is a set I have from Wiff of Joy. Coloured with Pro-Markers.

My Lovely Mum~

Hi All~
What a miserable day, weather wise here, it was raining and cold.
Hello May!!  I was expecting you to be a tad nicer than this!!
I have been busy Scrapbooking again today. I got my jobs done in the afternoon and tonight I have been having a "playing".
I love this picture of my beautiful Mum.
It was taken about four years ago at a relatives Wedding, I thought this picture of her, not looking at the camera was so natural and lovely, she looked so nice in her light grey suit, with her little fascinator popping out of her fabulous salt and pepper hair!  She is a really trendy, young looking lady with great style.  (The person in the corner of the photo with a white jacket on, her back to you, is Yours Truly, a great photo.....showing my back rather than my front!! Ha, ha)

I have chosen to do this lovely sketch over at "Once upon a Sketch" and the theme to go with the sketch is "Mum".
I have hundreds of photo's of my Mum, some gorgeous B&W ones of her in the 50's (she was so gorgeous) and loads of her on holiday with Dad (they used to love their holls and went all over) .

On Saturday she became a Great Nana, so no doubt I will have hundreds more now taken with her holding Baby Iris.

I have used some papers from Scrapperdashery, and other leftover bits from my stash.
I like this base paper, it has words from famous people written on the background.........this one has the words of  William Wordsworth's poem "Daffodil's".

I have also used Tim Holtz large Alterations Bodyform Die.
Hobbyhouse Pearls and Roses.
MS border punch.
Butterfly stamp by Inkilicious.
Chipboard heart and flower. (I have used paper on the heart and coloured the flower with markers).
All the edges have been inked with Walnut stain.

I have written one of my favourite sayings on the Journalling part of the Layout....
"To the world you are just one person, but to one person you are the World". I love this.
