A BIG MERRY CHRISTMAS AND THANK YOU~

A big Merry Christmas and thank you to all my followers.
My craft room has now been cleaned up and my Christmas table out for my guests coming, so no crafting for me until after the Big Day!
I will also be 50 that day, so I may be a bit worse for wear when I return.
All the Best and I will be looking in on you all as I still have access to my pc.

Thank You~

Hi All~

Well pleased to report it has slightly warmed up here (at least there is not a minus on the temperature gauge)! BUT won't hold my breath as it's set to be cold again after the weekend.

Must apologise for the awful photo, camera settings have been changed by my son and I cannot get them to work properly!!! Arrr.

I have made a Thank You card today. It is for my daughter to send to her old work Friends, to thank them for the gifts they gave her when she left last Saturday.
She is enjoying her new job, but it's not as busy as she is used to and I think she is going a bit stir crazy (she is one of these that does everything at 100 miles an hour, so a doctors surgery is a bit quiet for her)!
She will have a good go at chilling out, and It will do her good.

The image on this card is not one of my own, it is one sent to me a while ago when I won a challenge. I thought he looked a bit sad to be honest, but I do love him, who doesn't like a teddy bear?
I have chosen to use my cuttlebug to emboss again on this card and also dug out an old script stamp I had not used in ages to stamp the background paper. Teddy is coloured with pro-markers. I have used my trusted NS flower punch and leaf were used again and the sentiment is a personal impressions.

Pretty Fairy~

Hi All~
Thank you for all the wonderful comments about my son's Snowman, he was dead chuffed with them.
Unfortunately although it looks like the Snowman is a "Giant" (and my Son a genius Snowman builder) it is the angle the photograph was taken at. It is about 4 foot high, not the 7 foot that it looks like in the photo.
I did laugh when Chris (fellow blogger) said it looked like one of the Blue's Brothers, Ha Ha, (must be those old sunglasses!).
Mind you Matthew said he will pass on making the other "Brother" (as Chris suggested, Lol) as his hands are still too cold from making the first one!

Tonight's card is made with a Penny Black image, Isn't she cute? Really girly and nice.

I wanted to make something other than a Christmas card...I have made loads the last two weeks, so making this card made a lovely change.
The DP are Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses and the NS large and small poinsettia punch for the flowers. Image is coloured with copic pens. All finished off with some Kars cord in blue and a few Hobbyhouse Gems in bright pink.

Should have explained~

What a nutter I am. Just realised I did not explain why the New Job card (see earlier post) had a get well image on it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well it is meant to resemble a job in a doctors surgery, a nurse/receptionist/chemist etc...
Did not even give it a thought to explain it....Sorry.

Good Luck Eve~

Hiya Folks~

Cannot believe it's a whole week since I last posted.....Arrr I need more hours in the day!!

I am having a ball at the mo, it's crafting and more crafting......All commissions tho!
Finding it hard to make any cards at the moment, even my Christmas Cards, but have the whole day today, so will try to make a few, that is before I watch Strictly, X Factor and Merlin later on!

It is my Birthday on Christmas Day and I will be the big 50...I know, it's not something I should be shouting about, but I am looking forward to it. There are lots of phone calls about me and whispering which stops when I enter the room....This can only be all good......PRESSIES for me!!
I am like a big kid I am afraid and LOVE opening gifts, especially if I have no idea whats in them. I put this down to the effect that Christmas Day is like that anyway and I just add to the fun with my Birthday, it's always gone down well in my house with the kids.

No more waffling now...
Today's card is for my beautiful daughter Eve. She is leaving her job today to start a New one on Monday. She has been with the same department store since she was 16 and is now nearly 20. An opportunity came up to do more hours somewhere else and she has taken it. I wish her all the best, her dad and I are very proud of the lovely woman she has turned into. All our love and best wishes sweetheart, this card is for you. Mum xx

Snowman, You are Sweet!!

Hi All~

I have a card for you tonight made with the stamp that the lovely Heidi sent me after a won the challenge over at Moving Along With the Times, thank you Heidi and I hope you like the card I have made using this sweet snowman.
The image is called "Lampost Snowman" and is by Little Claire Designs.

I have used up some MME Christmas papers in my favorite colour "green", I love green!
The image is coloured with Pro-Markers I have added some green organza ribbon, but it is very sheer, so has not shown up very well on the photo. The sentiment is Personal Impressions, I have used this before and like the way it, looks like a little signpost. I have popped on a few gems and some raindrop spots over the snow. I have cut and embossed my NS poinsettia flower I am so pleased I bought these as I think they look lovely on a Christmas card....I would like to thank Vicky for the heads up on buying them, ta Vicky.

Not a Card~

Hi All~

Hope you are all doing ok.

I have been a bit busy making things for my Christmas Fair on Sunday, so hopefully after then I can have a bit of a chill out and start making my own Christmas Cards!

I have been asked to bring plenty of my little Christmas paper bags on Sunday, so I thought I would share some with you before they go.
I have used the toppers by LOTV and various papers and punches. These two bags have been ordered from me and the lady in question asked for plenty of MS butterflies on them, her wish was my command!

Be back later hopefully with a card made with a stamp I have just had sent to me by Heidi, I won the challenge over at Moving along with the times and won a sweet little Snowman, I will try to show you all later if I get time.

With Love at Christmas~

Hi All~

Hope your week is going well.

This is my all time favorite Christmas image, and it's a digi by Heather Ellis.
I just don't get fed up of using it, and sold quite a lot of them a the fair a few weeks ago, so hopefully I will sell some more this weekend at the next one.
The DP are just leftovers from my bit box, so not sure of their names. the Sentiment is from Craftwork Cards, ribbon is from my stash. I have added some Stardust Stickles.
For the Challenge over at Passion for Pro-Markers they have asked for "Old and New" stash. My new are these papers and Sentimnet, they are only about three weeks old, and the old is the ribbon and charm which I have had since the begining of the year and never used.

Happy Snowman~

Hi All~

I have managed another Christmas card (amongst other things) today.
I have also made a baby bag for a pressy (show you that later) and have done a few pages on one of my calenders.
I do not own any Snowman images, this one was stamped for me when I won over a Die Cut challenge, I do like them, just never bought one!
I have used some of my new red spotty paper (but don't know what make it is), and the snowflakes are wooden and I have coloured them with my Pro-Markers. I have used my new MS punch again, and the lovely little Sentiment Signpost is from Personal Impressions, isn't is cute?

Shabby Chic Tilda~

Hello All~
Did you miss me? Or am I being presumptuous!!

I have just come back from my weekend away with my lovely friend Angie. This is our 15th year on the trot Christmas shopping in the city of Glasgow.
I did lots of shopping and have crossed such alot off my list already...Great stuff.

We got talking to a very nice Scottish couple in Hobbycraft on Thursday and they said "You must visit the brilliant Craft World shop on the other side of town, it's amazing".
Now this has happened to me before where someone has said go here and it's great, only for me to get there and be very disappointed....Not this time, It was fantastic, and was only about 6 miles from our hotel in the middle of Glasgow centre.
I bought Nestie's, Stamps, Card, Ribbons, pro-markers and loads of papers! The choice of 12x12 papers were the best I have ever seen, we were ages picking them out.

Onto today's card~

I have chosen this sweet Tilda for today's card. Not sure where I got her from, she not one of my stamps. Recently I did win some Tilda's on a challenge so she could be one of them, I like her anyway.
Papers are from my new Basic Grey Marjolaine Pad, they are so nice and all in these greeny/bluey colours. I have torn all the papers and used Old Paper to ink the edges.
Tilda is coloured with Pro-Markers, and ribbon was from Hobycraft. The sentiment is a craftwork cards circle and I have distressed the edges and used the ink again on here. I have used some staples to finish off the edges of the papers and ribbon.

Traditional Red and Green Christmas~

Hi All~

This will be my last post until I get back from shopping in Glasgow with my lovely friend Angie, we just cannot wait now.
We go Thursday morning and come back Saturday early evening, it's such fun.

Must admit, although it is a Christmas shopping trip (to buy for others) we do try to find Craft shops to have a treat in....However, we struggle every year to find any. There is an art shop in the middle of the city, and Hobbycraft on the outskirts, but we cannot find anywhere else. If anyone has any shops they know of, can you let me know. Thank you girls.

Today's cards are both Christmas cards. Penny Black and LOTV images.
I must admit these two have been my favorite Christmas images this year.
I followed the brief on A Crafty Little place for the Red/Green and White colour combo, and the sketch at Stamp Something. I have used MME Christmas Stack papers and a small corner MS snowflake punch. I have also used my Nestie scalloped oval for the image and sentiment. The other card sketch is Sketch Saturday and the large snowflake on this is the MS large one.

`Twas the night before Christmas...

Hi All~

Back today with yet another Christmas Card, but to be honest it looks like this is going to be the norm for the next few weeks.
I have another Christmas craft fair at the end of November, so am busy making Christmas Cards to put into my selling box!

This is my Penny Black image "Christmas Fairy". I made a few cards using this image recently and they were a great success at last weekends Christmas craft fair, so here I go again making some more.
Unfortunately I don't know the name of the papers used, they were only bought recently but I have looked and cannot see any makers names on it. The border punch and snowflake punch are MS, and I have embossed the red card under the image with the Swiss dot cuttlebug folder.
All coloured with pro-markers.

I am still here!!

Hiya folks~

I have been "absent without leave", due to being so busy with projects on commission. I am afraid without permission I cannot share my makes with you, but hopefully, when I have finished my daughters project, I can share that with you all.

On Saturday Angie and I joined some other crafting girls in a local craft fair. We were selling all our craft goodies (we no longer needed) and I had a large box of cards to sell.
I was really pleased with my card sales. I was selling them at a very affordable price (in fact in people's opinion too low) but at the end of the day I sold over 40 cards, so was very pleased.
I did however have a little spend myself....I know the whole point was to sell, but you just cannot help it can you!!

Onto tonight's card:
My lovely hubby managed to outbid someone on Ebay a few days ago and won me this Sugar Nellie beauty "Pillow Talk"....I have seen a few people have used her on the blog and was delighted when one came up for sale. A Big thank you to my hubby Chris for being the Ebay "King"!!

Pretty in Pink~

Hi All~

What an awful day here. I have had to have all my lights on as it has been so dark.
I have had a few jobs to do this morning, but did manage to make this easel card this afternoon.
I have used the lovely Tilda image Susie Sugar sent me for winning the challenge over at Die Cut Dreams, thank you Susie. This Tilda is delightful isn't she?

I wanted to follow the challenge over at Totally Tilda, they wanted Pink and Pearls, so I knew I had these gcd papers called "Rose Coloured Glasses", they are all Pinks so match up perfectly with each other. Image is coloured with Pro-Markers.

Not sure where this large scalloped circle came from, under the image I have added a doily and I have die cut a Magnolia Tag. The big flower is Craftwork Cards. I have used Walnut stain ink on the edges of all elements and have used lots of Hobbyhouse pearls to finish off.

Thanks for the Cookie~

Hi All~

How dark is it now the clocks have gone back? I feel like it's the middle of winter already, it is cold enough here for it to be too.

Tonight's card is especially for the boys, Oh yes the dreaded Boy/Man card.
Well not any more, `cos how adorable is this Mo Manning Little Boy Image?
He is just so lovely, and I like the way he is not a skinny little waif, he's a bit on the chunky side....mind you no wonder, stuffing those HUGE cookies. LOL

Anyway, I have used some Basic Grey Pyrus papers, they are just gorgeous, and also the border strip is from the Prima Jack `n Jill collection. I have used Pro-Markers to colour with and the flower and leaf are NS. The sentiment is one of my new circle's from the Greeting Farm range. I love the sentiment circles, in the set there are 6 of them...Lucky, Smile, Hello, Friend, Thanks and Love.

Double Trouble~

Hiya All~

Last night went well, I managed to see the result of X Factor and Strictly, and keep around 25 Witches happy with candy!!
I still had quite a few Trick or Treaters, but not as many as last year, now I get to eat any candy that's left!

Today's cards are more Christmas cards to add to my growing collection. I am hoping to sell some at the weekend, as it's a local Craft Fair. I also have some for my mum and Nana and myself of cause, so I don't think you can make too many, do you?

I have used the very sweet and funny Penny Black stamp called Christmas Fairy, and MME Christmas papers. The zig zag punch is MS, swirl is Magnolia and sentiments are Craftwork Cards. I have finished with pearls and a brad.
I have just realised when I uploaded the photo's, that they do look a bit busy, I certainally did not follow the "Less is More" rule did I?
Never mind, Christmas is all about bling isn't it?

Another LOTV Card~

My second post is another LOTV card. I am a big fan of these stamps, they are so cute and they always make me smile, love using them.

I have had four Witches at the door already....told you! I am expecting about 40 more before the end of the day! It is witch city where I live, always have lots of them. Mind you a few of them are my Playgroup children!!
That reminds me, it's back to work tomorrow, and I have 6 new starters, so it will be a bit hard work for the next couple of weeks, poor little things will cry for their mums, but they will be ok once they realise the fun we have.

I have used lots of leftover paper for this card, so don't know the names of any of them. I have had these snowflakes ages, and have coloured the purple one with Pro-Markers to match the papers. The big snowflake was part of my winnings over at Die Cut Dreams challenge (thank you ladies) and the sentiment die cut shape is a Spellbinder tag.

LOTV Christmas Card~

Hi All~

Happy Halloween to all who celebrate.
I have started to get all my decorations out to make my porch ready for the hoard of Witches I am expecting, (I lost count last year, must have had 50 of them.)

I don't mind Halloween too much, it's later in the week on Bonfire Night I am not happy, I wouldn't go as far as to say I hate it, but I really don't like it. I did take the children to displays when they were little, but I never really enjoyed it.

Today's card is made with the lovely LOTV image, I really like this one. The DP with the red on was free in a magazine, it's all distressed with Christmas words on.
I have die cut a sort of poinsettia shape flower (but not sure about it, I think maybe I should have embossed it too, will try that next time)
I have cut out a Magnolia Swirl, and the sentiment is Magnolia too. The punch is MS.

Hi All,

Sorry not been around much, but I wanted to get a few of my Crafting commissions out the way before I had a play. I have made 60 Christening Invitations, two Basic Bare Calenders, and am in the middle of a 12x12 Scrapbook, so busy busy busy...NOT that I am complaining, I am happiest in my craft room doing things I love!

Tonight card is a Gillian Roberts image, isn't it cute? I know alot of people are not "Cute Christmas" people, but I am afraid I am, and the people who buy my cards are too, so suits me. This is no acception, very cute and slushy indeed. Great!

Black and White~

Hi All~

Here again, I have had a bit of a play this afternoon and have managed to make another card. I will not be cardmaking tonight, but will be back later to see what you have all been upto.
I was dying to use this lovely Tilda again, she so reminds me of Autumn with her poncho flapping in the wind. Here today you needed more than a poncho! You needed an industrial umbrella, it has not stopped raining all day.

I have got to apologise for the dreadful photograph, oh dear was not on the ball at all when I took this, and then couldn't do it again as the camera battery wanted charging, Grrrrr.

Papers used are a mix, the newsprint in the background is Magnolia, stripes are K&co, and MME is the purple. I have also used some black mirri board. The sentiment I thought was stamps 4 u but not sure?
I have coloured her in pro-markers, and I wanted it to look as though I have hardly used any colour, so kept it very subtle with just grey and pale purple.

Autumn for the Boys!

Hello All~

I would like to share with you the two lovely stamps I won over at Squirrels blog. Thank You Squirrel they are lovely, I hope you like what I have done with them.

They are Pink Gem stamps and the little boy is so cute with his little hoodie and his conkers.
My friend Angie and I saw loads of conkers the other day, we brought some home. Don't think children seem that interested in them anymore, but they will like to see them at the Playgroup, so I will take them in when I start back on the 1st November. I am off work this week of half term, which is just as well, I am so busy crafting calenders, Scrapbooks and invitations, gosh I can hardly keep up!

Tilda in the Pink~

Hiya All~

Yesterday I was busy helping (If that is the right word!) hubby put up my new shelving in my craft room, for my ever growing supply of punches!!
I ended up with 3, 3 foot shelves, BUT unfortunately they are FULL already....So that means no room for any more if the urge takes me, and I want to buy one or two more!!
Hubby (In his wisdom!) suggested I go back tomorrow and get another shelf and he would make room for it....Ah he's so sweet.
Don't think quite realised that what he should have said was "You have got too many punches for the shelves, you need to get rid of some!" He is a complete love.

Today I have made a Tilda card, but not sure if I am totally happy with it. I chose the sketch on MDUC, but got a bit stuck on if I had followed it properly, Oh well, it's done now. The other thing is that I have done a few cards lately in Pink, so feel I should have chosen a different colour really....I miss my lovely friend "Green", so will be going Green for the next card!

Yesterday I made a card using this same image, and I am entering into the same challenge again. Heather Ellis Digi Image~

Hiya All~

A big thank you to everyone who wished me well with my cold and my soar leg!! I do appreciate all your lovely comments, you brighten up my day...Thank you~

Today's card is from a selection of Digi Images I purchased from Heather Ellis. I don't have many digi images, but I love the Heather Ellis set I have and it was so easy to have them sent straight to my Email.

The papers used are MME Christmas selection, the sentiment is craftwork cards again, ribbon from my stash and a cute little angel charm. The image has a chalk background to try to make it a bit colder looking (Brrr), and image is coloured with pro-markers.

Christmas and more Christmas~

Hiya All~

I felt a bit better today, and after work I went to my monthly craft club (The Cut and Chat Group) and had a lovely crafty time for two hours with my lovely friends...Thanks girls for a great meet up.

I did not make any of these cards at the meet, I had part started them before I went, and finished them tonight.

As I am on Christmas mode, I decided to make a couple of cards similar to each other.
I have used the gorgeous Whiff of Joy stamp, the papers are all Freebies from a magazine and sentiments are Craftwork Cards.

I have managed to find a challenge these cards fit, but did not intend to enter them for anything really, they were just for my stash!

A Card For Lynn~

Hi All~

I have a Friend called Lynn who I don't see very often but when I do we always have such a lot to say to each other. When we were teenagers we lived just a few doors away from each other and were inseparable.
Over the years we still live in the same small town and see each other shopping quite often, but don't really socialise any more..Shame because when I see her (Like last year when we were on the same First Aid Course together) I just love being with her and we always remember things we did when we were younger.

To cut a long story short (bet your glad about that!), it's both our 50th Birthdays this year, hers is coming up on November 20th, and today I received a Party invitation to join her for the evening....I cannot wait.
This card is for Lynn~

I have used a Penny Black image. I thought this was perfect for a friend's Birthday card, and added the lovely "It takes a long time to grow an old friend" sentiment + a small 50 (not to remind her too much!!)

Just Because~

Hiya~

Have not done much all day today, still recovering from my awful cold and my soar leg has unfortunately taken a bit of a turn for the worst when I came down the stairs too quickly this morning.
Hubby gave it a rub for me and then said "Look at that black bruise across your leg". I did not even know it was there.

It is not as bad now as earlier, but just goes to show that it will take a bit longer than I thought to heal.
Looks like I am not going to get back to Zumba for a few weeks yet!

Tonight I have chosen a Tilda that I have not inked up before, but so glad I did, she is so sweet, love the little school look she's got going on, did not know she was carrying a chalk board before I stamped her, not sure what I thought it was. When you buy a Magnolia stamp they are so annoying as you just cannot tell what they look like unless the store has stamped it for you to see.

Anyway I have used some girly pink colours, these papers are so nice (although a bit hard to see) and they are from G.C.D Rose colored Glass collection, they are all different shades of pink.
Tilda is coloured with copic's and I have used my Cuttlebug folder that's like the kids sweets you can buy called "Love Hearts". I have inked over the top with Walnut stain. I have used my gorgeous Magnolia Tag, I just love this tag, the ribbon is from my stash. All finished off with Hobbyhouse Pearls, Tim Holtz inks and Stickles.

Lady in Lilac~

Hiya All~

Unfortunately everyone in my house has the dreaded lurgy now...I think I have given them all the cold and soar throat, they are NOT happy with me at all!

On a lighter note Chris (hubby) did not drink much of the 11% beer, so feels ok, thank goodness!

I made this card last night, but after watching two weepy films in a row (Lots of crying involved) I was too worn out to post!! (First film was The Family Stone, and the second was Click) both films are really good, but so sad, mind you I don't mind a good cry every now and then!!

I bought this gorgeous Greeting Farm Stamp when I went to Port Sunlight, she's so cute, I just love her "twirly" hair. I have stamped and and embosse the image, and coloured with pro-markers.
Not sure what make these papers are, the swirl is Magnolia, the flowers are my new NS poinsettia flower (thank you to Vicky for the heads up on them, they are lovely).
The border is a MS punch and the ribbon is from my stash. I also like using this Octagon Nestie, fits most images very well and can make a nice change from a circle!

A Very White Christmas~

Hi All~

NO! I am not dreaming of a white Christmas, I am NOT dreaming of Christmas at all...
On Christmas Day this year I will be the big 50, so it's going to be a quiet affair (unlike my 40th Birthday).
For my 40th I had a party inbetween Christmas and New Year, it was a themed party and 60+ of my friends dressed up as Pop Singers....Every one of them, it was fantastic. I know I cannot name then all but:
I was Boy George, hubby was Noddy Holder, Angie was Tina Turner, I had the Bay City Rollers, Punk Rockers, The Spice Girls, Elvis, The Blues Brothers, Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Alice Cooper, and loads more, I totally loved it~
All my friends were kind enough to donate over £700 between them for the Local Autistic Society. It was brilliant and I remember it as if it was only yesterday (wish it was)!!

Tonight hubby is at another Beer Festival....I am slightly worried about this one as I was informed that they have a specialist beer on (If what he is saying doesn't concern paper or ink I loose interest quite easily) but he said they have this great beer and it's 11%.....11%......OMG I hope he only has half a one!!! OR I am in big trouble in little China tomorrow morning, there are going to be moans and bathroom noises I don't even want to think about..... Please let him only have one!!

Right onto tonight's card. I am still on Christmas mode, no stopping me, I want to be prepared big time so here it is.
I have had this "Old Father Christmas" Image for a couple of years and made quite a few cards with it last year, I almost forgot I had it.
Anyway I kept this card as white as possible, stamped and embossed image and sentiment, and used a couple of Cuttlebug Folders.

Winter Wonderland~

Hi All~

Did not know if I was going to be able to make this card today, I feel so awful.
My cold is getting worse and I have a very fuzzy head. I am popping tablets, but I have always thought that a cold will take it's course and you can't do anything about it! Just wait it out.....

Anyway I have tried for ages to make this card, not totally happy with it, but I do love the Magnolia "couple" image.
The papers used are MME, they are just gorgeous, double sided so ideal for a card with layers like this sketch has.

No Card~ Just info~

Hiya All~

I hope to be back later if I feel better.
Unfortunately I have an awful cold, cannot believe how quick it came on, went to bed ok, woke up with razor blades in my throat...not nice. Now it's a full blown cold and I feel awful.
No work today, so I will keep warm and take lots of cold remedies.

The lovely Faye has Candy Rush on offer for her Aniversary, go take a look, her blog is wonderful and her stories of day to day life will have you wanting more...

I would also like to give a big SHOUT OUT to Squirrel, thank you squirrel for the lovely blog candy that you sent me, how lucky was I to win it, I will use it on a card ASAP. Thank you.

Spooky or What!

Hiya All~

My second post of the evening is a bit different from anything I have done before.
I don't do Halloween cards, or not 'till now anyway, this is the first one I have ever made. (I make them every year with my Playgroup Children, but have never made one for me before today)

I bought this silly "Frankenstein" image from the Penny Black stall on Saturday, he is one of several I bought that day, all different, some Christmas, some cute, cannot wait to use some of the others. I did laugh when I saw this one, think he is perfect for a child's card, so funny!!
