Debbie Shaw's "Little Beach Bag"~

Hi Girls

Sorry I have been missing in action for a week, but time flies when you are having fun....and I have been having lots of fun. This working from home lark is a joy, mind you I do get a bit distracted being near a tv, and having my best friend Angie 4 doors away!!
The said friend came down crafting this week and we had a great time trying out our new stamp sets, I will get round to showing you what we did when I have a spare minute!

I have been busy having a bit of a "Sew".....I used to make a living from Sewing in the late 1980's, and made a range of soft furnishings from Roman Blinds to Bedding. I loved it and before my Children came along I had my own room devoted to the machine and a huge table to cut on. I now have to share the Sewing area with my ever growing "Paper" stash, but they seem to get along ok!!
So I thought I would show you the Beach Bag I have made for my coming "Spanish" holiday (ooo two weeks today!)

Hope you will excuse my very messy Craft Room in the background of the photo. I am getting ready for my weeks teaching (in July) at Summer School, so have a giant box full of project for the dozen children I will be teaching.

Anyway back to the bag.
I have used the wonderful step by step tutorial from Debbie Shaw to make this bag. It is also reversible so makes two in one really and It is so very easy and Debbie's video is great.
When I made this bag I paused the video while I did each step, It took me about 3 hours with a couple of coffee stops!
I have now made several of these and can do them in just over an hour, so nice to do. Here is a link to the Youtube Video:
Hope you like it and may be have a go.

Oh you are clever Deb, your bag is gorgeous. I attempted to make my first garment yesterday. I say attempted, it is unfinished. Apparently the needle on my ancient machine is not in the middle of the foot and the tutor didn't like that, so I had to use another machine and it all went downhill from there. Don't think I will be attempting a second! xx
