Bringing You Sunshine~

Hi All~

Thank you for your kind words after I told you I was feeling unwell.
Glad to report I am feeling slightly better.
I am hoping "fully" better by 10am in the morning, as it's mine and Angie's "Zumba Dance Class" and it's so exhausting to do, that you have to be fully fit or you are in trouble...Watch this space and I will tell you how we got on!

I could not resist making another card with this beautiful Mo Manning image. I must admit I love her images, and according to a few of you who comment on my blog, you do to. I just think they are either funny or just plain sweet (like the little Jack and the Beanstalk boy, that I have fell in love with!)

I have used a K&Co paper (thats the Lime and Strawberry paper in the background).
The image is coloured with my Copic's, and I have used Stickles on the wings.
I drew round a ribbon slide to make this one in the white colour, and added some red and white ribbon from my stash to go through it, the sentiment is from my Greeting Farm stamps.
I have entered into the following:

Pure White with a Touch of Lilac~

Hi All~

OMG same old weather here!! What on earth is going on, cannot remember the last time my hubby and I had our lunch outside when he finishes work early on a Friday, it must have been back in June! That really isn't funny, it's starting to annoy me now...And in the words of the HULK...You wouldn't like me when I am angry~

I have just recieved this gorgeous Greeting Farm stamp, it's one of the three stamps I won last week. Isn't she cute?
I chose the colour combo over at Anya Ink, and decided to add lilac to the Black White and another colour challenge.
The swirly white paper behind the image is a folder for my cuttlebug, it's been very useful and has a space in the middle to add an image, I have covered that over with a Nestie Matt in shiney black mirror card. I have added lilac ribbon from my stash and a couple of small roses in a dark grey colour. The striped black background paper is from a childs writing pad, I spotted it in a stationers and thought it would come in handy....have used it loads. It would be perfect for a back to school or teacher card. I have used Pro-Markers to colour, but not sure if I have done her hair right now I have seen the photo, I should have used a bit more shading, but I do like her little lilac dress!
I have used my Lable maker to type the little sentiment, I use this alot in Scrapbooking, but have only used it a few times in cardmaking, looks cool on this sort of card. The machine was only 99p from my local £1 shop..

I have entered this card into the following challenges:

Alphabet Challenge--Ovals
Anya Ink--Black, White and Another
Friday Sketchers--Sketch
Papertake Weekly--White and Bright

Lets Go For A Swim~

Hi All~

For the last two days my friend Angie and I have not been feeling 100%.
Unfortunatly we went out for a meal (for Angie's Birthday) and the restaurant where we ate was NOT on form, this has resulted in us feeling quite ill since the visit, hopefully we will both feel better tomorrow~

Onto today's card~
I have chosen a 6x6 white card, although I have lots of different cardstock sizes and colours, my all time favorite colour and size is 6x6 White squares!
I have chosen this Mo Manning image, It's been coloured using Pro Markers.
I did laugh when I saw this image, it reminded me of my sister when we were kids, she used to look just like this in a swimsuit........ Sorry Mandy!
The papers are DCWV Linen Closet, the corner and border punch is MS, NS the flower punch and a nestie was used under the image.
I have followed the sketch and blue colour on The Pixie Cottage, and have entered the following challenges with this card.

The Pixie Cottage--Sketch and Blue
Cute Card Thursday--Woteva!
Fab n' Funky--Spots and Stripes
The ABC Challenge--A for August
Quixotic--Life's a Beach!

I have gone distressing mad~

Hi All~

I don't know what has got into me the last few days. I have gone card distressing mad~
Considering I don't normally do distressing, I have the distressing bug....Do you think I have used the word distressing enough yet?

I followed this lovely sketch on Friday sketchers, Isn't it a nice, and it was so easy to do too.
I chose this hAngler image, love the little hat she has on and the lovely little teddy bear, so cute.
The papers are DCWV Mariposa again and the cherry paper was from my stash.
Coloured with Pro-Markers, I have added a flower, leaf and a pin. The little sentiment is just a sticker from my stash, as is the pink dotty ribbon.
This is the first time I have ever done any sewing on a card. I have wanted to do it for ages, and my machine has been in my craft room for over a month now, but today was the first time, and I loved doing it, hope you like it. I chose a zig zag stitch, but it's a nice machine and I have lots of stitches to choose from, so will deffinatly do that again.

The Little Distressed Tree~

Morning All~

Hope you are all having a good day. Unfortunatly here the nice weather has NOT returned and it is raining again, I cannot believe it, I thought we would see an improvement in August...
I have been quite busy, but made this card before bed last night, so have finally been able to post it now.

Although I love the distressed look, I have never classed myself as very good at it.

I must admit, looking at other people's work has given me the inspiration and tips in order to have a good go at it.
I am actually quite pleased with this card, even though it does not contain a small person of some sort!!

I love this Hobbyart "Open Tree" stamp, I find it useful for a Christmas image, a winter image and you can add gems to brighten it up too, really versatile.
I have used DCWV The Mariposa Stack. If you have never seen this stack you should take a look, it's amazing. If you like really ornate papers (well cardstock actually) with butterfly's and birdcages on, lots of flittering etc, then you will love them. They are perfect for the distressed look, I like to take a sheet and tear it up! It distresses brilliantly.
The large flower is hadmade using the drawn spiral method, I have used stickles to highlite it. The other flowers are from my stash. The leaf punch is a NS, and the border punch a MS.

Cupcake Challenge--Distressing

Oops Sorry~

Hi All~

So sorry,
I entered a challenge with my last card of Edwin, but unfortunatly it was not right for that challenge.
I had a blonde moment....I entered Totally TILDA, with my Edwin card, I don't know why I did not realise that TOTALLY TILDA did not mean, other things aswell, you would have thought the word TOTALLY would have given it away wouldn't you?....Funny that!!

Never mind. I have asked the lovely girls over their to remove me. Better luck next time, and I may even use a Tilda this time......

When my brain returns off holiday I will be blogging again!!!!!!!!!

Is it Edwin or Robin?

Hi All~

Oh well, I did hope the weather would be better for the 1st August, but no, hope it was better where you are~

I have been busy all day and this is the first chance I have had to do any crafting. I have just finished three pages for the two Scrapbooks I am working on, so then I have made time to make a card.
Over at Totally Tilda they have asked for a shaped card (just hope they will accept the lovely Edwin as "Tilda" if you know what I mean!)
I found it quite hard to make a small card and fit all the elements asked for in the sketch over at Just Magnolia, but managed after some messing about~
Magnolia Stamp Lovers have asked specifically for Edwin, so thats perfect~
I have used my Nestie for the shape, I had this baby blue checked card left over from my baby boy Scrapbook page and thought I would do the Robin Hood in BLUE......

I know what you are thinking......Robin Hood, wearing blue, no love he wears green! Well let me tell you, If Kevin Costner can play Robin in "Pants and not tights"....I can make him BLUE. And besides that I have just wathced Avatar last night and BLUE was on my mind!!!
Sorry, I digress:
Circle was Nestie again and embossed with Swiss Dot in the Cuttlebug. Ric Rac was from my stash + Gems and little Birthday Sentiment. MDUC wanted a Birthday card, so fits with that too. He is coloured with Copic's.
