Monochromatic Bunny~

Hi Ladies~

Monochromatic Bunny...Sounds like the name of a New Sci-Fi Movie at the Cinema..BUT no it's my latest card creation!!

I have chosen this pre-printed image by Craftwrok Cards. Never seen them before and wish I had bought more of them. They come in just grey print, I have coloured them in very lightly with pro-markers. You can buy pre-coloured versions of them too, just thought they were different and love the very pretty bunny.
All three matching papers are also Craftwork Cards, flower punch is NS and border punch Ek success. Forgot I had this old ribbon tucked away, think it matches the Mono look quite well. Not very complicated today, simple card to make.

Hope you are all doing well and are enjoying your weekend.

Lovely LOTV Fairy~

Hi Girls,

How nice is this "Spring" weather we are having? I just love it, doesn't it make you feel so happy and have more energy "to craft"!
I have been really busy Scrapbooking over the last four days, but decided to have tonight off (I have done a couple of pages this afternoon) so it was time to have a little play with one of my new LOTV stamps.....I have had them since SUNDAY and not yet had a chance to even look at them!!

I was a little greedy and did buy quite alot of these stamps, including three sets of round Sentiments which are delightful. Had a slight heart flutter today when the Visa Bill arrived, did not know if I should run away, but then I thought "how am I going to get all my stash into my 107???? Impossible, as I cannot even get my supermarket shopping in it!! LOL

Anyway onto tonight's card: I have used one of the LOTV Sentiments aswell as the lovely Fairy Image. I used a new scalloped Nestie circle behind the sentiment, and another to mat the image. This paper is MME, MS border punch, Ribbon from Hobbyhouse as are the flowers and the pearls. Finished with some diamond stickles. I have coloured the image using Pro-Markers.

Template Show and Tell~

Hiya Girls,

A couple of you out there have asked about the template for my little Mother's Day baskets I made in my last post. I don't know where it came from and was a while ago now that I first made them, but I have tried (try being the operative word, as I have never done this before) to show a sort of picture of a basket in stages and hopefully it will help...SO here goes:

It is the easiest basket I have ever made. You need some plain cardstock, I use Basil Basics. Cut it to a 6x6 size (that's inches) then score two inch lines around all edges as shown:

Now you cut down two sections opposite each other as shown:

You then just cover the panels with your chosen paper. I cut 2x2" squares and then just take a slither off each end so they will fit, but if you want to measure each one accurately you can (I find no need tho'):

Then you simply fold up and brad the join as shown:

For the handle you need to cut a strip 2"x8" and then punch along the edges. You can then stick ribbon or paper down the centre.

Finally join handle onto the brad you have used and fill with tissue and your favorite treat...

I hope this is ok, not sure it is accurate enough, but you can Email me for other info if you like, address is at the top of my blog.

Me again~

Yes it's me again with another post. You would think I had nothing to do but craft wouldn't you? Well I haven't!!

I have however been making little "Mother's Day" baskets for my Mum's at Playgroup, and some little Easter Buckets (filled with Eggs) for the children in the group for Easter.
I did some of the mum's day baskets last week so finished them all off today. They have a lovely jar of bath salts, and body lotion inside.
The little buckets were bought in a local "discount" shop, I just love them and think they will be handy for keeping little bricks or toys in after Easter! I filled them with choccie eggs and then used my shredder to shred up coloured paper and then stuffed that in and over the top. I then popped them into a plastic lunch bag and tied the top with ribbon....What do you think?

Dance Girl Dance!

Hello Girls,
Thank you all for my recent comments, love to read what you all have to say, thank you.

I was up at the crack of dawn today. Daughter's car broke down on the way home from work last night, so I had to take her to work this morning as her car is now in the garage. She starts at 8 o'clock, but has quite a drive of around 25 mins, so I had to do that there and back. At least I have been able to do jobs and make and post a card before lunch....Good Stuff~

This is a cute Little image, but I cannot think who's make it is, it could be Whiff of Joy, but not sure. I know one of you clever girls will be able to tell me.
The background paper (well cardstock) is Nit Wit and the flowers are NS. The sentiment is one of the Craftwork Cards ovals and have used my Nestie to matt behind it. The image is coloured with three new Copic colours, they had 36 new colours to choose from so I bought 12, and they are lovely.
As I am entering this card into CES Challenge and they want the card to be inspired by a song. I thought I would make this card for my Niece. Her Birthday is not until May, but I can put it away until then, the ironic bit is that Leah (my Niece) is a singer and has actually sung the song I have chosen which is The Arctic Monkey's "I bet you look good on the dancefloor"!!! She will love it, she dances like this girl too!!

What a great Weekend~

Hi Girls,
I have got to tell you about the fab weekend I had with my lovely friend Angie at Harrogate Paper Show....It was great. I did however spend a huge amount of money, why is it you feel great spending it, then you feel a bit embarrassed at how much you spent (on yourself!) afterwards.
BUT I have got to say that on Friday I did collect £130 (off a few friends) to send to The Japan Earthquake Fund, so I have done my bit on the Charity front and that felt brilliant.

I was very shocked and happy to discover that when Angie and I got back to the hotel after our first days crafting, guess what was waiting for me in the room...No not Daniel Craig (a girl can dream!) The next best thing...Gorgeous Champagne, how lovely. Angie had set it up in the room as yet another treat for my Christmas Birthday, thank you so much Angie, so please to have shared such a lovely weekend with you....here's to the next one.

Thought I would show you a picture of Some of my stash I bought, Ooh cannot wait until I can have a play with it!

One of Mo's Boys~

Hello Ladies~

What a totally gorgeous day, so warm and sunny, just what we need after all that snow last year.

I am getting very excited about my weekend away "Craft" shopping at Harrogate, it all starts at 8 tomorrow morning, I will try to show you all the goodies I buy after the weekend..

Oh, now then not too sure about today's card.....I am not always happy when I do the distressed look.
I visited Tab's blog the other morning and she said the same thing (mind you her work was gorgeous!) but I do think other people do distressing so good and then I do it and think Oh no!
Not sure If I am just a Clean lines girl! It won't stop me having a go tho', 'cos I love all types of crafting, I am not afraid to have a go even if I am not happy with the end result.
Next week I will be keeping in touch, visiting you all, but I have a Scrapbook to start, so I will not be making as many cards. I am hoping I will be able to show you some of the pages and Layouts I get made, but will have to ask permission to show them first, hopefully they will say yes!

So onto today's card the "depressed, I mean distressed" card in question!
The gorgeous image is one of Mo's, Oh I do love her Digital Pencil, I don't think I have seen any of her images I don't like. Just recently I won her challenge and chose the little girl with the string of Strawberry's, so sweet.

Anyway this one is one of hers too, just look at this little dog, just waiting for the boys biscuit bits to fall off so he can eat them! LOL
Mind you it's mouth is a bit close to it, and his tongue is almost touching it....naughty dog!
I have used co-ordinates cardstock for the background and the embossed sheet, embossed with a Tim Holtz folder. Coloured with Pro-Markers. I have used some twine/raffia and a sheet of Desert and Blooms stripy paper,(Gorgeous paper, every sheet!) Finished with some Platinum Stickles.
