Turn up the Music~

Hello Girls,

Busy day for me today. Did shopping in the morning, and then cleaning this afternoon. Mind you that means that tonight I have been able to have a play with some of my New Stash from the weekend!

I love Greeting Farm stamps and was a bit disappointed when the stall that usually sells them did not have very many and was stocking another brand of stamps no where near as nice!! I did however find this lovely stamp among all the others.
I have entered into the "Punky" challenge at Anyone for Anya with this card, and I think she fits the bill alright...Very Punky!!

I have embossed the blue card with a music cuttle bug folder and I have used some Basic Grey Hopscotch papers. I have cut out the image with one of my new Go Create "Tag" dies's, I love this. There are 4 tags all in different sizes, I have used the largest of them, they are going to be very useful.
The lovely "Admit One" ticket stamp is from LOTV, I bought that on Saturday too.
The guitar charm and ribbon were from my stash, the flower is NS, and the image is coloured with my Marvey Le Plumme alcohol markers.

Tim Holtz Configeration Boxes~

Hello Girls,

It is my Niece's Birthday today, and I have made her a Tim Holtz Configuration box as a pressy, I thought I would show it you and see what you think.
I have really enjoyed making them (this is my second, first one I made for my daughter Eve). They are really easy to do, and the whole thing is made so much easier using the brilliant Tissue Tape from Tim.
My daughters box is white and very modern, where as Leah's box is far more vintage.

I have been collecting little bits and bobs to put inside, and managed to get lots of lovely things on Saturday. Old clocks, vintage photo's, plaques, thimble, old bobbins etc.
I used Tim's little box feet on Eve's box, but decided to use the great little bobbins with tissue tape round them for Leah's box!
Port Sunlight was great, I spent lots of money and had fun all day. It's quite a long way from me (3 hours there and 3 hours back) and I did the driving, so today I have been very tired. Back to work so feeling it a bit, but time to craft later on, so happy.

I have found I can enter these boxes into:

Bunny Zoe--Lace
Cute Card Thursday--Distressing
Creative Inspirations--Decorate the inside
Dream Valley Ch--Use Old and New
Delicious Doodles--What Inspires You
Flutter by Wednesday--Anything but a card (My papers have butterflies on them)

Gorgeous Winged Girl~DP2

OMG...WHAT ON EARTH HAS GONE ON THE LAST 24 HOURS WITH BLOGGER????
It's gone bonkers!!

I lost the link at 8pm last night and it came back for me at 7pm tonight. It is still not running right...I have tried to load my card on a few blog challenges, but I am having problems, I might just give up in a mo!! Try again another day.
Oh I am cross. I lost the post I was writing, and the photo etc, so I am at it gain now!!

On a lighter note:
I am so excited, I am off to Port Sunlight with some friends at 7.30am...
Port Sunlight is in Liverpool, about 3 hours away for me, it is a fantastic Stamping Fair and around 100 stalls selling all crafty items. It is a stamping fair but other stalls are allowed, so it's a great mixture. Hubby has given me some money (Oh little love) and I have my own stash saved too....cannot wait now!

Today's card was ready to post last night before Blogger gave up the ghost, so here it is now!

As I am joining in at DP2 (Mo's digital pencil blog) they asked for an image that represented "Summer". I had several image's that fit the bill (Mo's images are just adorable) the Strawberry Girl is one of my favorites, BUT I have always had a soft spot for this gorgeous girl with the beautiful wings.

Don't know if my colouring looks any different on this card, but I have just received my new set of Marvy Le Plumme alcohol markers, they are quite a lot like Copic pens, with a soft brush end, the colours are a bit different to the copic and Pro's I have, so they are lovely and great to use too.
The papers I have used are from g.c.d called Chic Bebe, these lovely shimmery stripy papers are actually the reverse side of the main dp's in the pad. I have used my MS beach border punch, some Craftwork Card candy and I have used the small and large NS flower punch. The Nestie is one of my newest shapes. The wings on the image are glittered using some stardust stickles.

Something Different~

Hi Girls,

Can I thank you all for the lovely comments you have left me for the last two posts, you are all so nice, as always you make my day.

I would like to share a Scrapbook page with you today, not a card!
This is a photo of my daughter Eve and her boyfriend Sean.
Although this photo is a couple of years old, Eve has asked me to make her a 12x12 album with her and Sean's favorite photo's of their days and nights away.
This one was taken two years ago at my mum's 70th Birthday party.
I have followed a sketch over at Scrapology, It was a lovely sketch to follow and the inspiration over there is great. This is the first Scrapbook Challenge Blog I have followed and I have really enjoyed entering it.

I am sorry but I have no idea where this DP came from or who makes it, I love it though.
As the challenge required the use of a vine of some sort, I cut up an off cut of another sheet of paper with these tall flowers on and used them as a sort of vine!!
I have used my MS punch for the border, a K&Co "Sweetie" chipboard sticker as the title, the butterfly's are a MS punch as well.
It is not quite finished even though I am showing it to you...I would like to write some journalling on the bottom left hand corner before I put it in the book, it will probably write something like the date and place plus the guest list.

Wish Upon A Star~

Hi Girls,

I am going out tonight with my friends. We are having a Chinese meal at the Jade Fountain and then onto the local pub "The Strawberry" to finish off the night.

I have been to my Zumba class this morning, so a bit tired now, I have had a wee kip this afternoon before I get ready and go out for a few G&T's!!

For my second post of the day, (first was the DT card for Sweet Stampin) I have chosen the theme over at Mo's Digital Pencil. How cute is this image?
I made a friend a Happy New Year card with this image, I just love it.
I did not make this card today, I made it yesterday evening b4 bed, but did not get time to post 'till today.
I am not happy with this weather today....Rain and more Rain.
Angie and I were at the "Retreat" (allotment) this week and the ground was very hard to dig, so we do need it. I did not see it, but last night we had an amazing (according to my son) Electrical Storm with no thunder, very exciting!

The Mo's challenge was to make a card in Monochrome, so I chose my favorite colours of the moment....brown and cream.
I have used a sheet of Kanban music and word card for the background, a lovely Anna Griffin ribbon punch I have embossed this card with the Swiss Dot folder, some hobbyhouse flowers and charm. Coloured with Pro-Markers.

I have entered this card into the following challenges:

Cupcake--Something beginning with C (chocolate and cream colours)
Cute Card Thursday--I like chocolate
Dream Valley Ch--Flowers
Dp2 Mo's--Monochrome
I love Pro-Markers--Song Title (Rose Royce "Wish upon a Star")

Childhood Memories at Sweet Stamping~DT Card

Hello Girl,

Over at Sweet Stamping this week the theme is "Childhood Memories", and our sponsor this week is Tiffany Doodles.
It was an easy challenge for me, mind you I have that many childhood memories myself that the only problem I had was choosing which one.
My sister and I used to spend most of our childhood at our local beach. We used to go down and stay all day, fishing, paddling, and collecting shells etc.
Mum used to go too, and dad came on the weekends when he was not at work.
Well! because of this I have chosen an image of a little girl collecting seashells for my DT card, hope you like it.

So for todays card I have used a stamp by "Stamps Happen" and it is appropriately called "Collecting Sea Shells".

This was a stamp I bought from a craft fair, a lady I knew was selling it. I think she wishes she had not let it go (she bought a card I made last year using it and said she wishes she still had it) mind you I think it is really hard to find!!
To be honest it actually looks like me at that age!! I had the same colour hair and I had a dress just like this one too!...Ha Ha.

The papers used are Prima and I think they are so cute, the little girl in the right hand corner is making a sandcastle! I have coloured the image with Pro-Markers, and have added a couple of Hobbyhouse pearls.
The shell stamp is a Magnolia, they were in the sale at Christmas and have been very useful on beach cards, as is this fab MS beach punch, I love it.
This gorgeous "Kite" is also a stamp and is by American Crafts and I got this set as part of a "Walk in the Park" set with lovely papers and ribbon from QVC a couple of weeks ago, I think it goes with this card very well. As I have raised the kites on foam pads I had to add the strings by hand, but this is very similar to how they are on the actual stamp.
I have used a bit of Stickles in Stardust, just to accent the sand and edges of the card.

Cloud Gazing~

Hi Girls~

Don't know if anyone else is having PC problems, I don't seem to be able to leave a comment for some of you, so if you thought I was staying away from you, I am not, I am trying to get to see you all....Naughty PC!!

Back to work tomorrow...It will go down bad as the last time I was in work was on the 8th April!!
I am all ready to go, and not worried about it, but when you have been off so long, you just don't want to go back, and I do love being at home. Time to craft, sunbathe and just chill out really.

Onto today's card.
I have used this lovely Sugar Nellie image which I had totally forgotten I had, I was looking through my stamps when I came across her. I think I bought her last September!!
Anyway, she is so lovely, and with her hair all on one side, it makes me think it's a bit breezy for her, and especially with her hat on the ground too, looks like it's blown off!!

The papers are a new purchase called "Walk in the Park". The swirl is Marianne, the border punch is the lovely MS, buttons are from my stash, and I have used a few hobbyhouse pearls again.
The sentiment stamp came with the papers and is by American Crafts, they are lovely stamps, a kite, a tree, park life, dog etc all park themed. Image is coloured with pro-markers.

Pollycraft Monday--Anything Goes
The Sugar Bowl--Sketch & Buttons
Kaboodles Doodles--Something beginning with B (Blue papers, buttons and colouring. I also think the image looks like she is in the Breeze!!)
