How Funny is that!

Hi Girls~

I have scheduled this card as I can now tell you where I am....In SPAIN.....
Well I am assuming I am, if my long suffering bestest friend Angie has managed to get me on a flight....Me and Flying don't like each other!! Actually I hate it, that's why I don't go anywhere...but hopefully I am having a fabulous time in Benidorm with my lovely Sister Mandy, my Mum and Angie, all celebrating my Sister's 50th Birthday....
As my Sister knew I would not go with her and Mum (my fear of flying remember!) I kept the fact that Angie and I were going a secret from her, so she does not know!! Hence why I did not mention it before. It will be her Birthday the day after we get there, so we will have already celebrated it by now.

I will tell you all about my trip very soon!!

Now then, as It's Saturday It's Challenge time over at Sweet Stampin'.
This week our Theme is "Humour" and our Sponsors are "Crafts u Love"...so go on have a go at something Funny for this week's Challenge!

So this is what I thought was Funny.....

It's a Clean and Simple card, made using an image by Stampotique, these little "people" are just so funny and make me smile. I have kept the card simple with a bit of PP on the bodies, a touch of spotty card and a bit of doodling. The brilliant Sentiment is one of the Dylusion stamps, love this sentiment which is so true!.

Well no doubt I will be Sunning myself and drinking Margarita's while you are reading this!!! Sorry..
Take care and "Speak" again soon.

Prima Doll Tag~

Hello Ladies
Not another "Rainy" Day, what the hell is going on with this awful weather, GIVE IT A REST!!
So Sorry If you are experiencing floods where you are, my heart goes out to you.

I have had a day of cleaning and Ironing, so think it's only fair that this evening I have a play. I have finished a tag I started yesterday.

I have had this Prima Doll for a few weeks now and not used her (I have three of these dolls, this is the latest buy). I have also used a Prima Doll Tag. These tags are great for using your bits of leftover paper, as you only need little pieces. The dolls dress is also PP, using more leftovers. The flowers are Little Birdie "Boutique Elements" in pinks, I have these in browns and greens too. The tiny pink flowers are from Anna Marie. I have also got out all my Lost & Found small stamps to stamp in the background. The little ticket is by Purple Pumpkin, ribbons from my stash.

Up up and Away!

Hello Ladies.
Thank you for all the recent comments, they are much appreciated.
So sorry if you are one of the people who have had problems with this bad weather, hope this rain gives us a break soon.

I have yet another "Valentine" card to show you, but this time this is the one I have made for my "Lovely Hubby".

I have used this Sweet rubber stamp, but I have forgotten which one it is, it might be a "Wee Stamp" but not sure, I do really like it tho', I have used it a few times, on an Anniversary card and an Engagement card too.
The image is coloured with Pro-Markers, and I have used a set of my Nestie Ovals and scalloped dies. The sentiment is pc generated, the hanging hearts are Memory Box dies. The pearls are Hobby House, and the DP's are called "Pickled Veg" but don't know who makes it, sorry.

Sweet Stampin' Sentiment Only Card.

Hi Girls~
Hope I find you all well and you are coping with the bad weather we seem to be getting lately.

Saturday means a Challenge over at Sweet Stampin', and this week it's "Use a Sentiment Only".
Now I know this is not everyone's cup of tea, but it makes such a change to make a card without a cutie image on. I really enjoyed making this Sentiment Only card even though I don't very often do it myself.
Our Sponsors this week are Crafty Ribbon's and they are offering a lovely ribbon Set.

I have used this Happy Birthday stamp as my Sentiment. This stamp was bought at my local Range store and it was on sale so only cost me £1, bargain eh!
All the papers are from my stash of leftovers and the flower is one I have had for ages and was bought from Hobby House, the pearls are Hobby House too. Colouring is with my trusted Pro-Markers.

Inky Time!

Hello Girls~

Hubby is out and about on one of his "Beer" drinking jaunts, so I am free to craft all day and night! (Well once I have done a bit of cleaning and polishing that is...Yak!)

I have a few cards to finish off tonight for my Daughters work friends (they keep me well busy!)
But this afternoon I have had a bit of a play with inks and stamps. This is what I have come up with.

The Tag is a big Prima Doll Tag, I just love these, they are a lovely surface to work on and a great size too.
I have used the Ombre technique of inking my tag. I used a few Tim Holtz inks and started to apply ink and used softer colours as I went down the tag.
I have stamped various images on the background and also used some Dylusion Leaf Stamps. They are all coloured with pro-markers. The sentiment stamp is by Indigo Blu and I have also used some bottle top lids to make circles. The stamped Indigo Blu flowers on the bottome have been embossed to add some detail.

Love is in the Air, everywhere I Look Around..

Hello Ladies,

Are you singing the 1978 song by John Paul Young? What do you mean you are too young! LOL

Today I had my weekly jaunt to Zumba and then had an hours retail therapy. It is my Daughter and her Fiancée's Engagement Party coming up and I have nothing to wear, so I have been out looking around....Did not find anything, but have until the 15th, so got time yet.

I have a Valentines card to show you today, and although I only make one of these a year (for lovely Hubby), this is not the one I have made for him!!!! It is made for someone else...But not FROM me!

The card blanks are Craftwork Cards easel scalloped cards, don't often use this shape, but last week these were on offer so I couldn't resist them and I really like the different shape.
I have used an Image from a LOTV Art Pad, papers from Prima "Sunny Days" pad, the pearls and flowers are from Hobby House.

Altered Box

Hi Girls~
Hope you are all well and are not having to paddle anywhere. Some of the roads locally to me are flooded, but fingers crossed at the moment we are untouched.

I have a little Mdf box to show you today.
I have just had a trip away with Angie, to see Rob the Mdf Man and have re-stocked on his fabulous products. These little boxes are just so sweet and measure about 6x5,
I have used some Prima "Sunny Days" 6x6 papers to cover the lid and sides. Any papers are good for this, but if you are using 6x6 you will need a pad that has three sheets the same as it takes about 2 and a half sheets to complete.
I have gesso'd the boxes first (no need to sand them as Rob's mdf is superb quality), then I have painted it with Acrylic paints (Eco paint in sage). I inked the edges of the papers with Distress Ink in Walnut, and glued into place. The hardest part of this is cutting around the papers for the lid shape, but I draw round it, then cut inside the drawn edge, then just keep shaving bits off as I fit it and look at how it is, it's very forgiving if it's cut a bit short and the inked edges helps alot.
The best bit comes next....the Embellishments, you can use whatever you want on the top, a theme if it's going to be a sewing kit or beads if it's going to be a jewellery box. I usually keep mine flowery, with a lovely sentiment.
The doily is a Memory Box die, the flowers are from my stash and the Sentiment was free in my latest Scrapbook Magazine. The last thing I have added are some Hobby House pearls in Aqua Green.
