Boo Hoo, No PC...Help!

Hi All~
Just a Quick post to say I am spitting feathers as my pc went all bonkers yesterday and I am posting to you on my daughters BORROWED laptop (which I have got to be very careful of. No drinking near it, no eating near it and no...well touching it really!!)

Hopefully the Burning smell coming from my topbox, can be fixed by the lovely man who is currently looking after it!
I may not be able to post for a while, but I will have to see how quick Mr Tech Guy can fix it (or not).
If it's a NO then my hubby is treating me to a lovely new laptop~ now then do I want the Tech guy to give me good or bad news I wonder!!!!!!!!!!!
See you soon Debbiexx

A Gorjuss Girl.......the name of the Image that is!!

Hi All~

I have had this GG Stamp for ages and not used her 'till today.
I bought her and three other GG stamps at the same time, and she's the last one to be used.
I saw a "Girly" "Pink" challenge at Stamptacular Sunday and thought Oh yes I can do girly and pink and could use my forgotten stamp!

I decided to Paper Piece her clothes, and she is coloured with Pro-Markers.
I have used a few different papers, one is K&Co, and the others are Tim Holtz, I have added a great big Prima pink flower and a couple of tiny roses. The little buttons are from my stash as is the ribbon. The matting is cut with an oval Nestie. The lovely "delight" sentiment is a Hero Art stamp and I have it's twin which says "Treasure", I really like them and use them alot in my Scrapbooking.

Summertime and the living is easy~

Hi All~

I know what you're thinking!!
When I wrote this title was I singing?......Sure Was!!

I made a Christmas Card earlier today and I said that even though I like to make them, I was desperate to try to carry on the "Summery" feel for as long as possible.......SO here it is, a Summery card to keep me in the mood!

I adore this image by Penny Black Slapstick, they do a few like this and I am going to look out for another one when I go away in two weeks.
The background paper is Bo Bunny (the 4 little 6x6 squares on a 12x12 sheet) and the bunting was already across the page, I decided to add my own bunting triangles over the top of the existing ones to add diamention, I used all my leftover bits of paper.
The punched border is MS and the image is coloured with Pro-Markers.

All I want for Christmas is.........

Hi All~

Not too bad a day today, good for drying washing as it is very breezy again.

I am on Christmas mode again today. I have just booked a stall at a local craft fair for October, so need plenty of Christmas cards for the buyers, hopefully I will sell some and then be able to buy lots more crafting goodies while I am there. (I know, It defeats the object of a sale, if you spend all the money made on craft goodies while I am there, but I don't mind!!)

I love this little Heather Ellis image, I used her on a Christmas card a week ago, but just had to use her again.
It was the first digi image I ever bought and I am so glad I did.
The three different papers I have used are all from my new paper pad by MME, called Winter Wonderland, it is gorgeous, all flittered and the papers all match lovely.
I have used my MS Lattice punch for the border. The scalloped edge around the image is by Colour my World, I have added a large brad with a rub on sentiment and ribbon is from my stash.

I have entered the following challenges with this card:

Please let me have summer for a little longer!

Hi All~
Sorry I have not posted anything since Wednesday, but I have been busy on the three scrapbooks I am making.
Unfortunatly because they are not my photo's I am unable to show you any of them. It's a shame that, as one of the books is for my son's girlfriends mum and are photo's of their recent family holiday to Egypt. The photographs are beautiful..Mostly due to the fact that everybody on them is gorgeous!!
And the scenery is not bad either~

Anyway back to my cardmaking..
I have decided to follow the sketch at Just Magnolia for this card, and I have used this gorgeous Tilda stamp too. I wanted the papers to be abit autumny (is that a real word!!), but to be honest I prefer to still be on Summer mode!
So please let me have summer for a little longer.....

I am trying out some more distressing at the moment, so watch this space~ Lol

Tilda in Red, Merry Christmas~

Hi All~

Christmas is on the cards in my house again!
I don't think I have made many Tilda Christmas cards, but there again I do only have two Chirstmas images...have to get me some more soon!

Hope you all had a good weekend and your weather was better than our dismal offering, it's been like April here not August.
Mind you we have now had our hosepipe ban lifted, but that might have been because we had water running down the street, and they felt embarassed keeping it on!!!!!!

This Mistletoe Tilda was so nice to colour, don't know If anyone else has this Tilda, but she is huge! It is the largest image in the Magnolia range that I have.
Paper used is one of my all time favorites, By K&Co. I have also used my MS Christmas Snowflake punch and some leftover ribbon from my box.
I love making easle cards and although I followed the sketch on Papersundae Challenge I still thought it was ok to do this style of card.

A Cupcake, but with NO calories~

Hi All~

No card tonight as I have had a buzy day and not managed to finish any of the one's started. Hopefully I will get them done in the morning.

I went to Zumba dance class first thing this morning, then it was my monthly meeting at "Cut and Chat" with my craft friends. Ths afternoon I have been tidying up my crafroom (and that can take the best part of two hours!!) No sooner have I got it organised, I start to mess it up again!

Sorry about the photograph, think I took it at slilghtly the wrong angle as all the embelishments look a bit stuck together, but actually they are all spaced out and at different hights, don't no what I did to make it look so different in real life!!

I have wanted to have a go at making a "Cupcake" for ages, and I had a good luck around 'till I found a tutorial I could actually follow.
Some of the gorgeous tutorials were so elaborate, but unfortunatly I don't do elaborate, compicated or hard, I like things simple and nice to do, but not time consuming. What a light weight I am!!

I started off with a cirle of paper which I folded about 15 times, a sort of consertina, then added a small chunk of florists oasis to the centre and wrapped the paper round it. If you squeeze the folds round the oasis it ends up looking like a real cupcake. Use a glue gun to stick it together, but DON'T glue your fingers like me because......IT HURTS, ALOT!!
The curls on top are made with thin strips off a 12x12 sheet of paper, wrap round a pencil then pin to the oasis. Glue on ribbon wound round and round to resemble icing, then add any embelishments you like on a cocktail stick pushed in.
It was only my first attempt, so sure the next one will look a little sharper, but am quite pleased for a first time.

I have even found a challenge or two to enter:

Wedding Celebrations~

Hi All~

Oh dear, what on earth is going on!!!!!!
Firstly I am hung over! (Own Fault!)
Secondly I have had problems with a programme that has decided to invade my blog photo file! This ALIEN programme has made it hard to add photo's, it's problerbly going to be ok, but I want my old one back. I don't like change!!

But on a nicer note: A big thank you to Linds for a lovely blog award, glad I have it now as if this alien programme causes me problems, I may get a bad blog award or might have this one taken off me!! Lol

I made this card for a "quicky wedding". I only found out that friends are having a very quick wedding in order to go and work abroad, so here it is.
I have used a topper by LOTV and used their sketch too.
However I have managed to enter it into the following challenges:

Hiya All~

Don't want to even talk about today's weather....Unbelievable, the rain was torrential and YES we had THUNDER again!! OMG.

Anyway...Pink is the word for today!

I am not exactly a pink girl, but mixed with this spot of green, I love it~
This is again a Mo Manning image, it's so sweet, I love all her images.
I especially like this girl's amazing hair!
I have used EK Success papers, they are lovely double sided sheets in 12x12 and I usually use them in my Scrapbooking. Border punch is a Martha Stewart and the flower punch is my Nellie snellen. The layering is a Nestie.

My First Digi (Christmas) Card~

Hi All~

Before I get onto todays card, I would like to Thank my Blog Friend Vixx, she sent me the lovely award at the top right of my blog, "it's a lovely blog award", thank you Vixx, what a sweet thing to do.

I have wanted to try out a Digi Stamped image for ages now. Lots of people use them and on Tuesday I had a blog hop and found Emma's blog.
Her digi stamp was lovely, so I asked her about it and her info was fantastic.
Emma told me her stamp was one of Heather Ellis's and gave me a link to where to buy.
Within an hour I was colouring in my Digi image and I am really happy with the results.
I ended up choosing 6 of Heather's images as she was having a sale, there were some lovely ones to choose from. Give it a go if like me you have never tried it, I only spent £3 and paid through Pay Pal, couldn't have been easier. Within minutes they were ready to print from my email account....FAB!

Hope you like the image I chose? I do, and it's so nice for a Christmas Card.
I am still amazed at myself being so organised with Christmas Cards, if you had told me I would be making them in July/August I would have laughed. Last year I started in November, and I was making them for others too!

A few days ago I made a couple of cards in Blue, and for me Blue is the new Green (Green being my favorite colour). I think the colour is beautiful for a Christmas Card. It is very fresh and clean looking and I do sometimes think the traditional Green and Red can be a tad dull.
I have used Bo Bunny papers, an adhesive snowflake ribbon from DCWV, a piece of adhesive sparkle paper and the wonderful Digi Image from Heather.
Coloured as usual with pro-markers. Don't know where these sentiments come from, but I have them in green red and blue.

Hello Tilda~

Hi All~

I am back again, two posts in one day, Hubby will think I do nothing all day accept craft.
I do do other things, but what used to take me all day, now only takes me a few hours, I can wizz through housework like a mad woman on a mission! I do it but I do it QUICK!! Lol.

Isn't this Tilda image lovely?
I think it is a Christmas image, 'cos she has a sort of Christmas image on her socks, but I have not used her in that way, hope you like the way I have sat her on a box!
I have followed the sketch on Just Magnolia, this was lovely to do, I also entered a couple more challenges, and they are listed below.
I have used my sewing machine again on this card, I am really hooked on this now and it's so easy. I thought it was going to be more difficult than sewing material, but it is acually the same.
In the 80's I made soft funishings (as my job) from a spare bedroom, this was pre-children, and I did really well, so I have always been good at sewing, mind you don't know how straight this is!!

My papers are a mix, some are DCWV Linen closet, the gorgeous spotty aqua colour was free in a magazine and it's such nice quality for a freebie. Coloured with Pro-Markers, flower is Prima and Hello sentiment and ribbon are from my stash.

Todays card is NOT a card at all, NO it's one of my little Gift/Lunch bags. Cannot wait to make these into Christmas Gift Bags and will pop all my gifts in, Will have to just STOP talking Christmas in August!!

DOUBLE TROUBLE~

Hi All~

Another gorgeous day yesterday, however I have been reliably told not to get my hopes up as it is raining at the moment and it is due to stay for the rest of the week!

Last night before bed I made two cards using the same image and sketch.
Over at ABC Christmas Challenge that is what they asked for, and their wish is my command! Lol
This is my latest new Christmas Image and I love it. It's WOJ "Uri & Bird".

I have tried to make the two cards look as different as possible, but retaining the sketch and image, think I pulled it off. They asked for a very easy made card and these were nice and easy to do.
Grey Snowflake card is from Kanban, and Blue Snowflake paper is from FF last year.
I am not as keen on the darker card as I am on the blue one, however I am not averse to a contemporary Christmas Card or two. I have coloured using my Pro-Markers.

Last year I made lots of red and green cards, so different more colourful cards is my aim this year.
I have a fantastic old fashioned Father Christmas stamp (on the ABC Christmas Challenge Blog someone has used it to make some cards, so go take a look~) and I really like him, might use him on the next Christmas Challenge.

Lovely Little House Mouse~

Hi All~

Second post in one day for me, you would think I had nothing better to do.. LOL.
I have done all my jobs and now it's not sunny anymore ('cos it's night!!) then I am allowed a couple of hours watching tv and crafting.

I love House Mouse, but for some unknown reason I do not have alot of the stamps, three to be exact and this image is one of them.
Over at House Mouse and Friends, the challenge is Orange, Yellow and Red, so I hope they agree this fits the bill~
I have used my favorite papers from Bo Bunny. These are the 12x12 papers that have a solid sheet one side and 4 6x6 squares on the other side. They are brilliant 'cos they all match. All three of these papers I have used in this card are from the one sheet...genius.
I have coloured the image with Pro-Markers, used a lovely brad with the word "flowers" printed on it and the ribbon is from my stash.
I have gone back to my trusty 6x6 white cardstock. I do try other card sizes, like my last post, but I always come back to the 6x6 in the end!

Snuggles~

Hi All~

What a gorgeous day, No complaints from me today. Hubby and I had lunch outside (which we love doing), and I cannot remember the last time we did that, it was so nice.
At one point I thought I saw a couple of Flying Ants....Me and flying Ants don't get on, I hate them, but after 10 minutes of observing ever single flying thing with a magnifying glass, I was convinced they were not the dreaded beasties!

I did not get much crafting done at all today, but I have had an hour b4 tea and an hour now so here is my latest card.
This little sweetheart is called Snuggles and she is a Greeting Farm stamp. I have about 6 of these and I really like them.
Lilac and pink were called for at Anyone for Anya, so lilac it is.
The border punch is MS, ribbon off my local market stall, papers are jsut leftovers from my bit box.
This small card is not my usual size, but I have a few of these pink cards so thought I would start and use them.

My Favorite Tilda Image~

Hiya~

I saw a great Challenge over at Sweet Stamping, make a card with your favorite stamp.
At first I was really confused, I have so many of them I did not know which to choose.
I got all my favorites out and went through them, in the end this beautiful sitting Tilda won by a mile. I bought this wooden bench and she fits on there perfectly.
I have paper pieced her clothes and flower, I have used leftover paper from a kit with cherrys on, think it looks nice and pale in the background.
The border punch is a MS, the Matt is a Nestie, and I have added a pink eyelett.
The ribbon is off the local market and the tag is from a chinese Scrapbooking kit.

A Christmas Tag~

Hi All~

My Christmas projects are coming thick and fast now, I have never been so happy making Christmas items!! LOL

Todays little creation is a tag!
Found the challenge to make a Christmas Tag over at Winter wonderland, thought that was a great idea, and was something different to a card. I like mixing up my projects so this was nice to do.

I have used a pre-cut tag (although I usually cut them on the Cricut Machine).
I have inked them up with a mix of Tim Holtz colours, and have stamped a piece of paper with my music rubber stamp. I then cut a snowflake out of Christmas paper and inked that too.
I bought a lovely set of Christmas Stamps today on my local market stall, Personal Impressions, and this Reindeer is one of them.
To finish I have used a few pearls, Swirls and Stickles to decorate.

Hiya

A quick post.

I wanted to enter the Totally Tilda challenge with a shaped card. Had entered this challenge a week ago but used Edwin...and realised it was a TILDA challenge...Doo!

So here it is, and I am pleased with how it's turned out.
Used a heart shape and squared it off to stand properly. I have used a stitching technique with ribbon on the small heart. The Tilda proberbly has a lovely name but I don't know it, I call her Fairy Wand Tilda! Coloured with copic's and inked with Tim Holtz Tattered Rose ink.

I have had this image a while now, and have neglected it lately, forgot how nice it is to colour and how sweet I think it looks.

Friendship Sugar Nellie~

Hi All~

Nice to be able to post tonight, seems ages since I last made a card...(it was Tuesday actually, but I did not like it, so did not post it in the end).
Had slightly better luck with my latest card.
Sorry about the awful photo, looks like I took it in bright light, but I didn't, it's my awful photography...I am no David Bailey!!

I have just got in from my "Zumba" dance class, so glad I had finished this card b4 I went, as I am really tired now!
Don't know if anyone else has had thunder and lightning and torrential rain...YES I did just say all that and yes I do know it's AUGUST..
Looks like no one bothered to tell Mother Nature~

I adore this little Sugar Nellie stamp on tonights card.
Papers used are a mixture, so not sure of all their makes, but the light blue ones
are DCWV Linen Closet.
The flower punch is my trusty NS and the leaf punch too.
Adhesive lace was from the Lakeland Shop and the star shaped matt was cut on my lovely "friend"....My Cricut Machine.

Christmas JOY~

Hi All~

Oh no...I am getting really boaring now, another Mo Manning image on my card again, Sorry!
Can't help it...Once again I think this makes a great Christmas card, such a funny image, just perfect for a Christmas Card.

I am sticking to my plan of making at least one Christmas Card a week, I am really proud of myself as upto now I have managed it.
Every one I have done so far is different and I remember last year making about 30 all the same (no wonder I got fed up), this is a much better idea, and I love that they are all different.

The base to my card is Co-ordination cardstock, I have used a MS Christmas Snowflake punch for the corners and the little snowflakes aswell. The border punch is also the MS punch that matches the corner punch.
The Nestie shape is one of my favorites and thats thanks to Crystal when we did our swap over at Trade it Thursday details found here

No need to say the stamped image is Mo Manning!!
The lovely Winter Wonderland Challenge required an Easle card and thats ok with me as I love to make them.

Bringing You Sunshine~

Hi All~

Thank you for your kind words after I told you I was feeling unwell.
Glad to report I am feeling slightly better.
I am hoping "fully" better by 10am in the morning, as it's mine and Angie's "Zumba Dance Class" and it's so exhausting to do, that you have to be fully fit or you are in trouble...Watch this space and I will tell you how we got on!

I could not resist making another card with this beautiful Mo Manning image. I must admit I love her images, and according to a few of you who comment on my blog, you do to. I just think they are either funny or just plain sweet (like the little Jack and the Beanstalk boy, that I have fell in love with!)

I have used a K&Co paper (thats the Lime and Strawberry paper in the background).
The image is coloured with my Copic's, and I have used Stickles on the wings.
I drew round a ribbon slide to make this one in the white colour, and added some red and white ribbon from my stash to go through it, the sentiment is from my Greeting Farm stamps.

Pure White with a Touch of Lilac~

Hi All~

OMG same old weather here!! What on earth is going on, cannot remember the last time my hubby and I had our lunch outside when he finishes work early on a Friday, it must have been back in June! That really isn't funny, it's starting to annoy me now...And in the words of the HULK...You wouldn't like me when I am angry~

I have just recieved this gorgeous Greeting Farm stamp, it's one of the three stamps I won last week. Isn't she cute?
I chose the colour combo over at Anya Ink, and decided to add lilac to the Black White and another colour challenge.
The swirly white paper behind the image is a folder for my cuttlebug, it's been very useful and has a space in the middle to add an image, I have covered that over with a Nestie Matt in shiney black mirror card. I have added lilac ribbon from my stash and a couple of small roses in a dark grey colour. The striped black background paper is from a childs writing pad, I spotted it in a stationers and thought it would come in handy....have used it loads. It would be perfect for a back to school or teacher card. I have used Pro-Markers to colour, but not sure if I have done her hair right now I have seen the photo, I should have used a bit more shading, but I do like her little lilac dress!
I have used my Lable maker to type the little sentiment, I use this alot in Scrapbooking, but have only used it a few times in cardmaking, looks cool on this sort of card. The machine was only 99p from my local £1 shop..

I have entered this card into the following challenges:

Lets Go For A Swim~

Hi All~

For the last two days my friend Angie and I have not been feeling 100%.
Unfortunatly we went out for a meal (for Angie's Birthday) and the restaurant where we ate was NOT on form, this has resulted in us feeling quite ill since the visit, hopefully we will both feel better tomorrow~

Onto today's card~
I have chosen a 6x6 white card, although I have lots of different cardstock sizes and colours, my all time favorite colour and size is 6x6 White squares!
I have chosen this Mo Manning image, It's been coloured using Pro Markers.
I did laugh when I saw this image, it reminded me of my sister when we were kids, she used to look just like this in a swimsuit........ Sorry Mandy!
The papers are DCWV Linen Closet, the corner and border punch is MS, NS the flower punch and a nestie was used under the image.
I have followed the sketch and blue colour on The Pixie Cottage, and have entered the following challenges with this card.

I have gone distressing mad~

Hi All~

I don't know what has got into me the last few days. I have gone card distressing mad~
Considering I don't normally do distressing, I have the distressing bug....Do you think I have used the word distressing enough yet?

I followed this lovely sketch on Friday sketchers, Isn't it a nice, and it was so easy to do too.
I chose this hAngler image, love the little hat she has on and the lovely little teddy bear, so cute.
The papers are DCWV Mariposa again and the cherry paper was from my stash.
Coloured with Pro-Markers, I have added a flower, leaf and a pin. The little sentiment is just a sticker from my stash, as is the pink dotty ribbon.
This is the first time I have ever done any sewing on a card. I have wanted to do it for ages, and my machine has been in my craft room for over a month now, but today was the first time, and I loved doing it, hope you like it. I chose a zig zag stitch, but it's a nice machine and I have lots of stitches to choose from, so will deffinatly do that again.

The Little Distressed Tree~

Morning All~

Hope you are all having a good day. Unfortunatly here the nice weather has NOT returned and it is raining again, I cannot believe it, I thought we would see an improvement in August...
I have been quite busy, but made this card before bed last night, so have finally been able to post it now.

Although I love the distressed look, I have never classed myself as very good at it.

I must admit, looking at other people's work has given me the inspiration and tips in order to have a good go at it.
I am actually quite pleased with this card, even though it does not contain a small person of some sort!!

I love this Hobbyart "Open Tree" stamp, I find it useful for a Christmas image, a winter image and you can add gems to brighten it up too, really versatile.
I have used DCWV The Mariposa Stack. If you have never seen this stack you should take a look, it's amazing. If you like really ornate papers (well cardstock actually) with butterfly's and birdcages on, lots of flittering etc, then you will love them. They are perfect for the distressed look, I like to take a sheet and tear it up! It distresses brilliantly.
The large flower is hadmade using the drawn spiral method, I have used stickles to highlite it. The other flowers are from my stash. The leaf punch is a NS, and the border punch a MS.

Oops Sorry~

Hi All~

So sorry,
I entered a challenge with my last card of Edwin, but unfortunatly it was not right for that challenge.
I had a blonde moment....I entered Totally TILDA, with my Edwin card, I don't know why I did not realise that TOTALLY TILDA did not mean, other things aswell, you would have thought the word TOTALLY would have given it away wouldn't you?....Funny that!!

Never mind. I have asked the lovely girls over their to remove me. Better luck next time, and I may even use a Tilda this time......

When my brain returns off holiday I will be blogging again!!!!!!!!!

Is it Edwin or Robin?

Hi All~

Oh well, I did hope the weather would be better for the 1st August, but no, hope it was better where you are~

I have been busy all day and this is the first chance I have had to do any crafting. I have just finished three pages for the two Scrapbooks I am working on, so then I have made time to make a card.
Over at Totally Tilda they have asked for a shaped card (just hope they will accept the lovely Edwin as "Tilda" if you know what I mean!)
I found it quite hard to make a small card and fit all the elements asked for in the sketch over at Just Magnolia, but managed after some messing about~
Magnolia Stamp Lovers have asked specifically for Edwin, so thats perfect~
I have used my Nestie for the shape, I had this baby blue checked card left over from my baby boy Scrapbook page and thought I would do the Robin Hood in BLUE......

I know what you are thinking......Robin Hood, wearing blue, no love he wears green! Well let me tell you, If Kevin Costner can play Robin in "Pants and not tights"....I can make him BLUE. And besides that I have just wathced Avatar last night and BLUE was on my mind!!!
Sorry, I digress:
Circle was Nestie again and embossed with Swiss Dot in the Cuttlebug. Ric Rac was from my stash + Gems and little Birthday Sentiment. MDUC wanted a Birthday card, so fits with that too. He is coloured with Copic's.
