Welcome Little Baby~

Hi All~

My second posting of the day....that must mean there is a gap in the "F". Correct... No World Cup on until tomorrow (a night off...a last). That means I have been able to catch up on some other tv, and craft without stopping every two minutes!!

My daughter's friend's sister has just had a baby boy and my daughter has asked me to make a card for her. I had an idea to do a sort of patchwork quilt effect, so here is the end result.

Thank you to Lindsey for stamping this cute LOTV image, it was perfect for this card. I have used some squares that I have had for years, they were bought as part of a Scrapbook kit, they are brilliant for this, especially when all the cutting is done for you! (No measuring!)

I have used co-ordination cardstock for all the matting, cut out using my Nestie dies, and the sentiment was bought from QVC last week, they are from Personal Impressions and are little ornate circles that you can then stamp a word inside, brilliant idea.
I have coloured the image with pro-markers and used some gems and ribbon to finish off.

Me and My Teddy Bear~

Hi All~

How annoying is it when you go on line all set to post a card to your blog and have a good old nose around and see what all your lovely blogger frineds have done....When, NO INTERNET!!!!
I was going potty, why, why, it's the year 2010 and your server decides to have a rest, Ta for that!!

Now I am a bit calmer ~ So no more ranting allowed!

I hope you are all well, and enjoying this gorgeous weather, even though we did have a tad of rain and a bit of Thunder and lightning~ Impressive.

My card today is one of two (If my internet behaves, I will be back later on), I have had this image since March and just not got around to using her yet, I really like it. I have seen a few people's cards where they have used an image which shows it's character from the back and I think they are sweet and very unusual. Well here is my version.
I have paper Pieced her clothes, and used pink papers for a challenge listed below.
The corner punch is my new MS flower, and ribbon is from my stash. Sorry not sure what the papers are, as they are all my leftovers from my "bits" tray.
The lovely "delight " setiment is one of my Hero Arts Stamps.
All coloured with Pro-Markers.

Me and My Lovely Chris~

Just a quick post to show you a very rare photo of me and my lovely hubby Chris.

We are the ones who end up taking photo's of everyone else and never seem to get any of us both together. At mum-in-laws 70th Birthday in April our children took this one of us.
I usually hate photo's of myself, but I have recently lost over a stone in weight, so felt quite nice that day, and I was wearing a dress that would go no where near me a couple of months earlier.

Silver Wedding Anniversary~

Hi All~

Mine and my husbands best friends celebrate their 25 Silver Wedding Anniversary on July 6th next week. I have made this card for them.
I struggled a bit on what to do, was going to do a big 25 in silver, but changed my mind when I found this fab image in my box.
I have followed the sketch on The Sweet Stop.

The DP are Bo Bunny (I think) the border punch is the very lacey and delicate Anna Griffiths punch, ribbon from stash and finished with peel off sentiment and numbers. I have used two different sorts of silver matting, one is very bling the other a matt finish.

Totally Gorjuss Gift Bag~

Hi All,

Second posting of the day...Amazing when I have watched sport all day on tv,("F" and tennis) been to my aerobic class and sunbathed!! Please has anyone got more hours in their day they are willing to swap with me for something!!

Tonight I wanted to enter the Totally Gorjuss challenge and was delighted when I found out it was to make a bag....I love decorating these litle brown lunch bags.
This year I am going to use them for my Christmas Gifts, cannot wait to cover them in lovely Christmas paper and embelishments.

The brown spotty paper used is from the fabulous DCWV Linen Closet, I have also used my friend Angie's lovely Tilda with her feet in the water and the little ring she can sit on, and coloured with copic's.

The paper flowers were handmade and stickles used to give them sparkle.
I am not sure the sentiment shows up very well, perhaps I should have stamped it on a matt and not straight on the paper, but it's done now. It reads "On the Sand, By the Sea, wishing you were here with me...Sweet.

I have entered this bag into a couple of challenges, details below:

Cute Card Thursday--Recycle
One Stop--Brown and Pink

Black and White with a Touch of Orange~

Hi All,

Just a quick post, I am off to watch the "F", will be back later.
I don't know, I am getting nothing done..."F", and Tennis and Nice Weather...When to get time to Craft....Quick as a flash thats all.

Today I made a card in Black and White with a touch of Orange!

Love the mono effect, don't do them enough. I have used one of my all time favorite B&W papers, (years old, from DCWV, don't even think you can get it now) and have used my new embossing folder in the cuttlebug, this is called Scrollwork and is a sort of frame, just right for this Artemio flower image.
I have used ribbon from my stash and the brilliant Personal impressions little setiments. These are great, you stamp the little circle and then choose the saying to stamp in the middle, genius..

I like to try different things in my crafting, sometimes I think I am a bit samey, and I don't like that.
We all have a certain style don't we? But it is nice to break the mould sometimes.

Entered into:

Allsorts--Embossing
The corrosive challenge--B/W/and another colour
Alphabet Challenge--I for Ice Colour
Craftilicious--Mono

See you all after the "F".

Lilli of the Valley Card~

Hi All~
Sorry I had to have a slight giggle today when the holders of the World Cup (Italy) were knocked out in the first stage..He He...Oh sorry if you are Italian!!
RIGHT no more footie talk~

I love the Lilli of the Valley stamps (this image is from my lovley blogger friend Lindsey, who is not well at the mo, so get well soon.)
I have used this image before on a thank you card, and a sorry card, (but these were the toppers).
Because the little girl has a bunch of flowers behind her back, I think it is very versatile.
I have obviously enterd this card into the LOTV challenge and it is them that have this great sketch too, go take a look at the lovely DT cards.

I used some paper left over from the card I made last night (waste not want not) and coloured the image with a mix of copic and pro-markers. The little flower is made using a NS punch, the border is made with my MS lovely trelliss punch. I cut tiny tags on the cricut machine and finished them with a rub on For You sentiment.

What a little Cutie~

Hi All~

Please note I am not mentioning the "F" word (football that is...Shush), or at least not until our next game, which I might add is against the dreaded Gerry's!!
Oh no I said I wasn't going to mention the "F" word....Sorry!!

My posting tonight is the beautiful Greeting Farm girl (no idea what she is called), isn't she a little cutie? I have noticed that alot of you blog buddies have these little girls in different guises and they are lovely, hope to get myself a few more.

Well I have folowed the sketch from Papertake Weekly, It was so nice to do. Then I coloured with my Pro-Markers, and used these beautiful DT papers from DCWV Linen Closet, they are stunning and all these creamy, browny, bluey colours. The background tiny blue with white dots paper was free in my new Scrapbook magazine, how great is that?
These papers went perfectly with the colour combo asked for by Creative Inspirations challenge.
I have stamped the little girl three times and decoupaged her to add dimension.
I have added some flowers, organza ribbons, stickles, and gold mirror card.

I have entered the following challenges with this card:

Don't Mention The "C" Word~~

Hi All~

Watched the football for tonight, so time to craft now.

I know what your thinking, has the girl gone mad!!
No....I have just made a "C" card. I know it's early, but I suppose it's never too early to start...Well ye, if you start to make them in February it's too early!!

I actually enjoyed it~ Which is saying something, because in October (which is when I usually start to make my "C" cards) I hate starting them and try to keep putting it off until I HAVE to do them.

My lovely friend Angie (yet another mention!!) has lent me this lovely set of "C" stamps, they are really nice, and this tree is brilliant. I have stamped it onto WRMK DP and it looks like I have used lots of different papers, I am really happy with the way it's turned out and will do a few more while I have the "C" bug!!

I have followed the Sunday Sketch and Stamp sketch, and have also entered into two "C" challenges, see below for details.

Good Luck~

Hi All~

OMG~ I am sorry but, the Footie is getting so exciting and controversial that I am just not having time to blog or do much else.
It won't last long, after today the games are not as frequent and of course tomorrow night are England back playing (if that's what they call it!!)
Lets forget the bad play from them so far and concentrate on whats to come tomorrow, but please lets prey to the Football Angel AGAIN, and ask her to take pitty on us all in our hour of need!

Back to the card in question for today...Tilda once again, and sorry, but yet again this is not my stamp...It's my lovely best friend Angie's stamp, she was kind enough to lend her to me yesterday...thank you Ang.
I had just recently used my embossing folders in the Cuttlebug, something I had neglected for ages, and decided to use them again for this card.
The lovely sketch is from the Allsorts Challenge and this gave me the chance to emboss four squares with different folders, great. The DP is a lovely colour and goes well with the peachy satin paper used with the other squares. All paper edges are inked with Brilliance Pearlesent beige ink.
I have cut a few flowers from my NS punch and found matching roses in my stash, I have also used some lovely strands of pearls. It is finished with a Good Luck Sentiment.
All the colouring is done with my Pro-Markers.

Quick Post~

Hi All

Just a quick post tonight, I am off now to watch Brazil and Ivory Coast in the World Cup...Ooh cannot wait...

Todays card is the ever lovley Tilda. This is not one of my images unfortunatly, it is courtesy of Shelley yet again (she is a love!)
This Tilda is so cute, dressed as a little bug, Ah.
I have cut the shape from my Nestie, embossed with the cuttlebug using Swiss Dot, Butterfly's cut with a MS punch, coloured with Copics, NS punch for the flower and leaf. Papers are Basic Grey.
I have chosen the colour and sketch from Stamping for the Weekend, I like everything about this challenge. I have used flowers so that will also fit with the Crazy for challenges, Stamptacular Sunday has Cute as a bug for their challenge. Fussy and Fancy have Mono and finally Princess for the Paper Sundae and she is always that, isn't she?

Right off I go to watch FOOTIE.... SEE YA!

Aqua Card~

Hi All~

My post tonight is a little Aqua Number...
I did not intend to do this colour when I started, but the brief for Sweet Stamping said Clean and Simple, and in my book thats quite mono and no DP!! But thats just me!

Anyway I am pleased with the outcome so that's something.
The image is Penny Black Slapstick "Happy Day", I have used him several times before, I just love his little hat, buckets and his jeans and waistcoat.
I have paper pieced his waistcoat, coloured him with copic and Pro-markers and decoupaged one of the buckets. The sentiments are from a stamp set called Inkadinkado Travel/Time Stamps.
The sketch is by Card Patterns, I love this, like the way there are four squares, you could do so many variations on it, check out the blog and see the fab DT cards.
The other challenge entered is Penny Black.

Sunny, Happy Tilda~

Hi All~

Did not think I would be posting tonight, I thought I would be celebrating England's win in the footie....BUT NO!! I am drowning my sorrows....NO, screaming with rage at us scoring a big fat zero.

Never mind there is always the next game!!!

I started to make this easle card this afternoon, and finished it off tonight. I wanted to use a Magnolia stamp and because the Just Magnolia challenge was Garden, I looked for an image that matched. I had the lovely Edwin on his bike, but I have used him twice lately so looked again. Eventually I found this one. It was one I stamped when Shelley lent me her Magnolia Stamps to use, thanks Shelley. It is lovely, she is holding a bottle of wine and a picnic basket, really sweet~

I have followed this great sketch from Cute Card Thursday, used papers left over from other projects and my EK Success border punch. I also embossed the orange card on the cuttlebug, using a vine folder. I cannot remember the last time I used my bug for doing this, it made a lovely change.

I have also entered this card in the following challenges too:

Stamp Something
A spoon Full Of Sugar

Might Post, Might Not!!

Hi All,

Might be able to post tomorrow or Might not!!
It all depends on if I get all my jobs done + work before I watch ENGLAND PLAY FOOTIE. Oh I am getting abit worried after the Frogs (I mean French) team had such a horror tonight. All I can do is prey to the Football Angel when I go off to bed tonight.

If I get a chance I will of cause post a project.

Tonight I would like to share with you all a Scrapbook Page of my two children Eve and Matthew. It's rare these days to get a photo of them together, they both have such seperate interests.
Unfortunatly the David Bailey in me was "awal" again for these dire pictures, this is supposed to be black/white and grey, but I am not sure what colour you would call it once I got my camera out!!!

Back in April it was my Mother-in-Law's 70th Birthday and this photo was taken at her party. My daughter had a colour copy printed for my mum (it was her Birthday on Tuesday gone) and then gave me the B&W copy.
I love to Scrapbook B&W photo's, they are just so atmospheric. I was really pleased to be able to do this page of the children and hope you all like it.

Gift Bag with Card To Match~

Hi All~

Those of you who know me will know I LOVE LOVE the World Cup...HOWEVER...The Voovoozilla's (no idea if that's how it's spelt!) Are giving me a headache, not that it has stopped me watching, but every now and then you can hear me shout..Please give it a rest, or something similar (if you know what I mean!!)

Anyway waffling over, down to the business of cardmaking~

Todays' card (well I say card, but actually it's a card and a gift bag), so on todays PROJECT, I have chosen the new GG stamp I bought last weekend, isn't she adorable? I bought three of these stamps, but this one with the little bird is proberbly my favorite.
I chose the sketch from The Sugar Bowl, and then had a dilema...How was I going to cut out a perfect Octogan without the help of the brilliant Nestabilities?
Then I remembered my favorite piece of crafting kit....My Cricut, she will cut it for me and then will cut a shadow too....job done.
The papers used are K&Co, and because I followed the Crazy for Challenges challenge, I have used Pink, Purple and Green.
GG is coloured with Pro-Markers and the border punch was my new Anna Griffin punch, very delicate. Ribbon and gems are from my stash.
The other challenges I would like to enter this card for are listed below:

The Sugar Bowl
Crazy For Challenges
Charisma Cardz Challenge
The Creative Cottage

Thank you to my lovely blog friend Fluff for helping me to do the challenge addresses properly on my posts, hope you are pleased with me Faye, I did it!!

Cute Boy!

Hi All~

I know I am a pain staying away from blogland, but the footie is so important isn't it? I said isn't it?

Oh dear, I know alot of you hate it, so no more footie talk today~

Today's card has an image of the Cute Edward from Greeting Farm, he is so sweet and cheeky. I have chosen the lovely sketch from Pro-Markers, he is also coloured in with these pens too. These lovely papers are new, but I cannot remember if they were called something like Hamstead, or something like that??
The ice cream colours are for the Papertake challenge.
I have entered this card into the following challenges:

Laughter we all need it~

Hi All,

Sorry I am being a bit rubbish at posting, but as most of you know, I am a World Cup Nutter and cannot stand to miss a match (although I could have done with missing ours against the Yanks last night, pretty poor!!)
Anyway I am glad to post a card this evening (before the next match at 7.30)

I thought I might have a go at making a card without an actual cute image on...
A bit hard for me, but I was fairly pleased with the outcome and have an idea of who this is going to be sent to.
I have used some Bo Bunny papers, Nestie shapes, WRMK rub on's, and the lovely punch border was done with my brand new MS punch...Postman was very discrete when he brought the punch for me, he was looking over my shoulder to give me the heads up if he saw my hubby coming..I was almost crying laughing.
He then said "I have got to go to your mates in a mo with her post", (this is my best friend Angie who lives four doors away from me), He then said " Mind you I am taking her three parcels!!!
Angie phoned me later on and said, that he said "I think I have upset your mate telling her you have more post than her"!!
Honestly I thought I was the only nutter round here, but I am not!!

Back to the card, I have entered into a few challenges, details below:

No card posting, just a show and tell~

Hi All~

Sorry, but not had time to do anything remotely crafty today (due to the start of the World Cup, which I LOVE), and as I am out eating and drinking tonight, will not get round to posting anything until there is a gap in the footie....Sorry, I know I am not at all girly am I?.....

I thought it might be nice to quickly show you the Noteletts I have made for my Mother-In-Law.
I make her a set about once every three months, last set was for her Birthday back in April. I made these the day before yesterday and she has them already.
Hope you like them. I tried to make them distressed with Tim Holtz inks, and I did each one a different colour.
One set is Flowers and the other Travel, she writes so many letters that she is just glad to get them no matter what the subject matter is, I try to change them for her too, the ones for her Birthday were all tree's.

Anyone 4 Anya~

Hi All,

Sorry for the atrocious photo, I am no David Bailey, sometimes I get it right and other times it looks like this!!

Second posting of the evening, It looks like I never do anything else accept Blogging, but I do honest!!
I love Anya and have wanted to do another easle card for ages.

I have used a sheet of Basic Grey cardstock called Kioshi, it's lovely because its patterned one side and flowers the other, but with the same background, that makes it perfect for an easle card. This is purple, not my favorite colour, but I don't mind it. I have made flowers from the same paper using a NS punch, and made them shiny with Glossy accents, I have cut leaves with another NS punch, and put gems in the middle.
The Anya image and the matting are cut on the Nestabilities,, I like this oval, but wish I had the scalloped edge one too, will have to have a treat and get it!!
I have entered into a few challenges that require flowers and of cause Anyone for Anya. All details below:

Enjoy the Moment~

Hi All~

Hope you are all having as good a day as I am.
This morning I read I had won my second ever challenge over at Craft Challenge. I was really pleased and won for my newspaper flowers on a Scrapbook page, thank you to Craft Challenge~

I don't work on a Thursday, so it's jobs and shop day, I have had a good look around the shops today, although I did not have any treats...Hubby will be happy about that one!!
Mind you he has no idea I had a spend on QVC yesterday and today..Oh No!
Just hope the postman is discreet tomorrow!!

Anyway this afternoon I have managed to make a card for a couple of challenges.
I love these images by Lili of the Valley, they are not the stamps, they are the toppers, but I still think they are lovely, hope you do. This one of the girl and the horse is a favorite of mine, and think any little girl would love this image on a Birthday card.
I have entered this card for the Lili of the Valley challenge, and the Chaisma Card Challenge, Fab n' Funky and Crafty Creations. All deatails below:

The Sugar Bowl Challenge~

Hi All~

Hope you have all had a great day today, weather started off dull, and although the sun has finally come out, it has brought a gale force wind with it...What's that about!!

I have entered my latest card into The Sugar Bowl Challenge, I love Sugar Nellie stamps so this is one of my favorite Challenge Blogs.
The theme is pink black and white, so I think this card I have made is fine for this.

I bought this Manga Girl stamp a few weeks ago and have not used her 'till now, I think she is lovely.

The Sugar Bowl Challenge is here:
http://sugarbowlblog.blogspot.com/2010/06/challenge-36-lilians-sketch.html

Also entered into The Passion for Pro-Markers challenge, as this card was coloured with pro's.

A Pair of Gorgeous Girls~

Hi All~

Today has been a busy day for me.
I have been to work and have done lots of clearing out.
I decided to have a good clear out of my stash upstairs, stuff like gifts not given and clothes not worn etc, and I am taking them to my local charity shop tomorrow.
I have also made a start on clearing some stuff out of my craft room, but I did not get very far, It will take longer than a couple of hours to get that job finished!!

Tonight I have made a couple of easy cards, both are GG, but they are both Die cut decoupage and not stamped, so nice and easy to make.
I have chosen my lovely Speciality Paper by K&Co, I think they are called Handmade, they are all double sided and are very nice to work with.
I have tried to make these cards look different from each other, although I have used a MS punch on both, but have chosen to tear paper on one card and add stickles round the edge. The other I have used Tim Holtz Tattered Rose ink round the edges, and tried to keep it a bit more clean lined. I love the red textured 'mat' shiney board used, I have this in a few different colours and it looks great punched.
I like these decoupage GG they are such fun to use, mind you I have noticed all the images are very dark in colour, wish a few of them were a bit brighter, but thats just me!

Edwin in the Sun~

Hi All~

Back to work for me today after a week off.
It's good to get back, I always loose my routine a bit, and it takes a few days to get back into your swing of things, however I have had chance this afternoon to finish a card I started before I went to bed.

This is a Magnolia stamp of Edwin that I bought a few weeks ago, I have only used him once, but I do like him alot, perfect for a summer card (as I have made) or a boy's Birthday card.
I have chosen Green, and those of you who know me will know Green is my favorite colour..All my cards would be green if I did not stop myself!!
I have chosen the sketch from Card Patterns, and have entered him into a couple more challenges (all details below):

I have chosen some Basic Grey paper that has cycles on, and a spotty green paper too. The lovely sentiments are very summery.
Both the images used are Magnolia, and I have used my nesties to cut out the gate, matted up and finished with a few gems.
The images are all coloured with a mix of Copic's and Pro-Markers.

Black and White and a hint of Red~

Hi All~

Not managed to post the last few days, been busy...Sunbathing amongst other things!
But obviously that does not mean today, I might have been able to swim, but not sunbathe!!

Todays card is a bit of a mixed up one, not sure what I was thinking really, but anyway it's done now.
I love this black and white paper with the flowers on, but by the time I had decorated it, it had almost disappeared, which is a shame as it is really nice.
The little girl image is from a set of stamps by Kanban, I have stamped her on paper to piece her clothes, like doing this and it fit in with a challenge over at
Fab n'Funky. The colour theme was set by Craft Creations.
I am going to try to do a couple more cards tonight, but don't know if I will get time to post again today. Back to work for me tomorrow after a weeks holiday.

Fairy Dust Tilda~

Hi All~

I don't know if "Fairy Dust" is the "real" name of this Tilda, but thats what I am calling her ~ She is so cute..
This DP is from my K&Co collection, the sheet was like a huge strip of borders, so I just sliced it into the three pieces needed.
I have used my Nestabilities to cut round Tilda and matted her up. I have chosen three brads for the ends of the borders, I have used a rub on "Wish" sentiment for the button shaped large pink brad and then popped on two lovely spotty blue brads.
Out of the same papers, I have made three flowers and added some spirals of paper and a pink heart pin. I hope you like her as much as I do!

I have enjoyed this beautiful weather today, so wanted to make a really sunny card.
When I spotted the challenge over at Colour Create, I thought, yes I will do that, it was Pink and Blue. I also entered the following challenges too:
Charisma Cards with flowers, Rosie D with Fairytale and Sugar Bowl with this great sketch.

Another Scrapbook Page~

Hi All~

Hope you have all had a good day, the weather here has been gorgeous.
Unfortunatly the news for our area hasn't been. Our thoughts go out to all the local people who have lost a relative or friend today...

Before I get down to popping my latest card on my blog, I thought It might be nice to share another of my Scrapbook Layouts with you, hope you like it. Scrapbooking is my first love, and although I have found a new passion for rubber stamping, Scrapbooking is what I love to do best..
These again are photo's from my daughter and her boyfriends recent trip to Egypt.
Because Eve (My daughter) knows what items I like to use in my Layouts, she always looks out of things to bring back, and in this case it was a page from a local newspaper. I decided to make flowers from the paper, and I used my Woodware large flower punch and inked up the edges with Tim Holtz old paper ink, I have finished them with a flower centre, again from a Woodware punch and added a gem to the middles. I have used a MS punch for the border and the gorgeous DP is K&Co.

Found a challenge that asked for Newspaper, so this will fit! It's Craft Challenge:
