The Belsfield Hotel Craft Fair...

Hi ladies

Thought I would share a photo with you. This was taken last weekend at the Belsfield Hotel in Bowness on Windermere about 40 minutes away from where I live in the Lake District.

The Belsfield Hotel is one of only two Laura Ashley Hotels in te Country, and it is stunning.
I was asked to bring my Craft Products to one of their Events and what a fabulous day I had.

My lovely Daughter Eve joined me and together we had a very lucrative day with over 300 people browsing in the lovely sunshine.
So now it's full on, making more goodies for the next show which is not that far off!!
First I am running my Summer School this week with 12, 7-13 year olds. Looking forward to it, but know a full weeks work is gunna play havoc with my Arthritis.....Oh well at least I get a nice time to play and I get paid to boot!
I do also have my much appreciated helper (my Wingman Angie)....couldn't manage without her, she's a star. X

Sweet Stampin'...."Boys and their Toys".

Hi Ladies

Well a "Sweet" challenge is here for you today at Sweet Stampin'.
"Boys and their Toys"....So go on have a go, stamping required somewhere remember.
Our Sponsors this week are Funky Kits.

This is what I decided to make for this challenge. It has been a while since I have made one of my little gift Bags and I knew I had this gorgeous Mo Manning boy image so decided to use it for this weeks theme. I have stamped the lovely LOTV Sentiment too. This cardstock is the duo card (not sure who makes it). I like this for these bags as it's half checks and half dots so I just pop a ribbon across the join.
The two embellishment corner and tab are die's from Wiff of Joy, and the stars are a Nestie shape.

Christmas in July.....Well at Sweet Stampin' anyway.

Hi Girls

Saturday is Challenge time at Sweet Stampin', and I am sorry but it's the dreaded "C"....
(Christmas, whisper!!)
I love Christmas, how could I not, it's my Birthday Christmas Day.....BUT NOT in July!!!
Not my idea, so I am doing as I am told and have made a couple of "C" tags, hope you like them.
Our Sponsors this week are Wild Orchid,so go on be a rebel and start Christmas early...(oops, said the word now!)

I have used a stamp I bought a few weeks ago from the Dreamie's" girls, I was sure these would make nice tags, and I was very pleased with them and think they will look lovely on a pressy.
They can obviously be used on the front of a card too, but as I make lots of Tags to sell on my stall at "C", then I am sure these too will go down well.

Inky Play Time.

Hi people, Hope you are all well this Sunny warm day!

I have been having yet another play, (and watching the Tennis which has been brilliant!)
I love messy play, and Tim inks are just the thing to use.
I have had a bad ankle since last Sunday (I am due some Physio next Tuesday) so today I went swimming as I have had a week off the Gym and Zumba. Will try the Gym tomorrow, but will have to take it easy I think.
It's BBQ time tomorrow, late afternoon, at our friends house and I am really looking forward to a few bevvy's!

So...back to the Tag I have made....
I have used a Kraft Card tag, and used a few Tim inks on the background. The lovely flower is a stamp from a free set off a magazine. Not sure which magazine, but It is one I bought at the Bolton Craft Fair, it cost half the price too so what a bargain.
I have coloured the flower with my new pens, Spectrum Aqua Markers and I have watercoloured with them and then added some glitter to the middle. I have stamped this gorgeous Sentiment stamp, I just love this, one of my all time favorite songs by the Carpenters...Isn't it sweet.
On the background I have used several different masks to give some texture. It has turned out a tad darker than I wanted, but I think the Kraft coloured tag didn't help.

I am entering into the following Challenges:

Craft Stamper Magazine==Use a Stamp technique

Crafty Catz==Anything Goes

Wow...Thunder and Rain while I am crafting!

Hi Ladies

My friends celebrate their 30th wedding Anniversary on Saturday, hopefully if the weather stays warm (don't hold ya breath!) we will be having a bbq and a few drinkies at their house.

I have bought them a huge floor vase full of flowers and also made them a Box Frame Plaque, made by Anna Marie Designs. It's that Plaque + the card I made them that I thought I would share with you.

For the frame I had to assemble it first, gesso and paint it, then cover it in paper (not sure what make this paper/card is but I just love it. In the middle there is an MDF heart which I have stamped on using an Indigo Blu stamp. The flowers and Leaves are all from my stash and the lovely string of pearls are from Hobby House. I hope they like it, I loved making it and will be buying more of these and the other shapes Anna Marie has the next time I am at a craft show.

For this card I have used the gorgeous wreath stamp by Chloe Stamps. I have used this a few times and stamping, embossing and cutting out to layer up is what I usually do with it, lends itself to this perfectly. I have used some bling silver sticky paper under the wreath and sentiment and then added a few silver gems. The sentiment I pc generated.
