It's nearly 2015.........

Hi Girls

I would like to wish you all a safe and Happy New Year. I hope 2015 holds great things for you.
I have a good feeling this coming year is going to be a good one (like last year), so I hope it is for you all too.
I have a 30th Wedding Anniversary to look forward to on January 12th, and then a holiday to Amsterdam to celebrate it, cannot wait.

Speak to you all again in 2015!

Christmas Time Folks...

Hi Girls

Just a quick post to wish you all a Very Merry Christmas and Best Wishes for 2015, may it be as good a year as 2014 (well for me anyway).

My thoughts are with everyone for who Christmas is not a good time of year, we will be thinking about you.

Oh Christmas Tree......

Hi Girls,

I feel awful about neglecting my blog this past two months. Not only have I been away for a nice Winter Break, but November and December I am sooooo busy with Christmas Fairs I haven't got 5 minutes to spare (I am making lots of lovely money for more Crafty Stash tho'!)

Hope your festive preparations are going ok. It's really crept up on me. I have done 90% of my Present shopping (just waiting for a couple of internet buys to come) I have bought some goodies to pop in the Christmas cupboard, nuts, choccies, cheese etc things that have a January 2015 date on them. I like to get everything I can so that nearer the time it's only fresh stuff left to get.

Anyway onto today's card for Sweet Stampin' and it's "Oh Christmas Tree" so a belter for the Festive Season, go on have a go, our sponsors this week are "My Creative Classroom, On Line Class" wow would love that prize....

Here is my card for today.

I have used some do crafts papers from a couple of years ago and a Topper from LOTV, the sentiment is a stamp I got free at Little Claire's.

Getting myself into gear and shopping for pressies, I have usually done it by now, but not this year!

I am still here!

Hi Girls
Hope you are all in the Festive Mood, I am, especially with it being my Birthday on the big day too!

I am still here even tho' I have not been around much (hoping to change that after Christmas).
I have been really busy with all my Craft Fairs. Last year I did about 6 Fairs in November/December, this year I did 5 in one week! So have had lots and lots to do.

Thought I would share just a few projects with you. Unfortunately by the time I had thought about photographing my items I had sold most of them!!

I have been doing really well at the Fairs and have had a few commission orders from the Sales too.
All the items above are Mdf, from Rob the MDF Man, You can catch Rob at most of the craft Shows that are on through the year around the Country. Unfortunately he does not do mail order at this time.

Well that's it for now, more mdf to alter I think!

Sweet Stampin'...."Let is Snow"

Hi Girls

Hope you are well this cold November Day.

I am a tad giddy, as tomorrow I am off to Blackpool to see the group of boys who entertained me in Benidorm three weeks ago....Take That Benidorm Tribute Band. Wow these boys are SUPERB and full of fun, cannot wait to see 'em. Here is a photo for you to see...

So onto Sweet Stampin's Challenge for today. It's a "Cool" one...."Let it Snow"!
Our sponsors this week are Quixotic Paperie. Hope you will call over and join in the fun.

I have used this sweet little Christmas Stamp by Stampendous Called "Balance Act". It's no secret that I adore Mice and Rats, so this little image was a great buy, I love it.
The papers are Graphic 45, not sure what make the sentiment stamp is. I finished the baubles (not that you can see it) with Glossy Accents, looks great IRL.

To Die For!!

Hello my lovely crafting friends.

So sorry I have been a bad blogger, but there is a proper reason....
I have just come back from an 8 day Holiday in the brilliant, but bonkers, Benidorm.

I am hoping she is reading this...I would like to give a big shout out to my favourite staff member of the wonderful Hotel Nereo (Karen) She is a complete star and a lovely person. Hasta Pronto in 2015, please stay in touch.
It's all back to normal at home, seems odd to put boots and a coat on, I didn't even wear a cardigan last week! Spain is two and a half hours away, yet it was 24o at one time........3o at home, how does that work then?

So onto the Challenge this week at Sweet Stampin'. Me and the crew have made cards with at "Least One Die". Our Sponsors this week are "Yours or Mine Papercrafts".

Love this LOTV stamp, coloured with pro-markers. I used Tonic dies in my backgrounds.

Shaped Cards at Sweet Stampin'.

Hello Ladies

This post is scheduled today, As this is being posted I am flying to Spain with my wonderful Mum and Sister.
I won't be around for the next 9 days, but will catch up with you all very soon. No doubt I will have a couple of stories to tell you, so stay tuned!

At Sweet Stampin' this week our theme is "Shaped Cards" and our sponsors are Crafts u Love.

I don't make many Shaped Cards, but when I do I always love them, this week I have chosen this
gorgeous "Welly Boot" Kraft card from Craftwork Cards.
I have also used craftwork Cards papers for the boot itself and then stamped a large Hero Arts flower stamp on it.
I have used one of the round Sentiments by LOTV, these are lovely and grungy, I stamped it on leftover paper. I finished by adding some purple twine, pearls and tiny flowers.
The Butterfly is stamped using a new stamp from Clarity. (Thank's Jo, it's gorgeous).

Why not have a go at this weeks challenge, but remember we are a stamping Challenge, so a bit of Stamping somewhere is required.

Halloween at Sweet Stampin'~

Hello Ladies

Hope I find you all well. A big thank you for your continued lovely comments on my work, means alot and keeps me smiling, so thank you.

I would like to be around a bit more, but I have such alot of Commission work on (and a Holiday at the beginning of November) so not got enough time to do everything!! Hopefully in a few weeks, I will have a bit more time (before "C" is upon us!)

Today the Challenge at Sweet Stampin', it's a spooky one!....Halloween. Our Sponsors are "Crafty Devils".
I must admit I am not a big fan of this night, always feel it's over the top or just an excuse for a bit of mischief, but I realise people with children love it and when I had small children I did actually like it too.....

So onto my card. I bought this Tim Holtz Stamp set in the sale last year and was waiting until now to use it. I do feel it could be used at other times too, but it is designed to be used for Halloween. Love the little line up, so cute in a spooky way. Quite a C&S card, did not want to go over the top with the style, so just stamped and added a Boo with sticky letters.

Tissue Box Cover..

Hiya Girls

I am soooooo busy at the moment (don't know how I ever went "out" to work, working here takes all day!)
I love it tho', am not moaning, just need 30 hours a day....That would be good!

Today's make is what I have been busy doing. I had an Autumn Fair at the weekend and did really well, sold lots of my makes, so it's time to make more for the next Fair.

November is MANIC for me, I have a Holiday coming up with Mum and Sister (Benidorm for 7 days), so really looking forward to that (just over two weeks away).
I also have about 6 Fairs, so busy, busy, busy.

This is an Mdf Tissue Box Cover. I adore making these. I start by priming them with gesso, then painting (I chose Storm Grey by do-crafts), then cover the four sides in paper. This is a Craftwork Cards 12x12 Paper (unfortunately not sold anymore, so I only have about 4 sheets left). The lovely centre piece round the hole is cut from an image on a Heartfelt Creations paper pad, I just popped a tonic circle die over the top to cut a hole in it and then cut into all the spiky edges.
The gorgeous Poppy Stamp is by Inkilicious, and I love to use it on this script paper, i add a touch of stickles in the flower centres to finish off.

Sweet Stampin' Challenge....Autumn

Hello Ladies

OMGoodness.......OCTOBER, Yes I did say that right....October.
I honestly don't know, each month goes quicker than the one before, don't like to think how many days there are too Christmas.....Please DON'T tell me!!

So onto today's card for the Challenge this week over at Sweet Stampin' and as it's October the theme is "Autumn" and our Sponsors are Bunny Zoe. Pop over and have a go, Autumn makes are so lovely.

I have not made a card for this months Challenge, decided to make one of these lovely Easel Frames instead. I love these and they sell really well at the Craft Fairs too.
This is made using one of my Wooden Stamps by Hero Arts, lovely is't it. The papers are by Cricut (to go with the Die cutting Machine). The Embellishments are all from my little box of bits!
I used a script stamp to stamp on the frame too.

Sweet Stampin', Ribbons & Bows

Hi Girls~

Hope you are all well, and are still getting some traces of Summery Days, I like September as it's usually not that bad weatherwise, yet it is still not quite Winter and not quite Summer....Oh ye that makes it Autumn....Durr! lol
You all know what I mean, and this week we cannot complain here, as it's been lovely.

As it's Saturday it's Challenge Time at Sweet Stampin'. This week it's "Ribbons & Bows" and our sponsors are The Ribbon Girl.

For my card this week, I was asked a couple of months ago by my Daughter to make a Baby Card for one of her friends at work, so this is the card I made.
I have used a LOTV baby girl image, and some papers by Which Craft (think they are Nit Wits).
the little pearl heart is from my stash as is the organza ribbon.

Busy Times Ahead.....

Hi Girls

I am a little tired and a bit achy today....Yesterday I wallpapered one of my Daughter and Finance's rooms in their New House.....Forgot how difficult and hard work it is....A big shout out to anyone who is a Painter & Decorator by trade....Respect!

I am now waiting at said New House for New Bed to arrive..........No show yet!!

~I realise today is 9/11 and although it was 13 years ago I still feel gutted when I see on tv the Twin Towers on fire. I see it like it's the first time every time, I don't think I will ever get over the feeling I feel when I see it. Just devastating. Thinking of you all today.~

On to today's make. (I have been doing allsorts lately, as I have a Fair coming up in a couple of weeks) I have made boxes, trays and other MDF things, but I have also been making cards for my Daughter's friend's at work and this is one of them.

The Papers are from my stash, the banner and cherry die's are all by Memory Box, the pearls are Hobby House, the border is MS, ribbon is from Mei Flowers, and this super stamp is from a set by Anna Griffin, you make up all the lines to fit and there are lots to choose from, clever idea and I think it looks lovely, very different.

Sweet Stampin' Challenge....The Great Outdoors.

Hi There Girls,

Hope I find you all well this nice day in September...Yes it is September already.
Only two months off my Winter Sun Holiday with Mum and Sister....Cannot wait now!

Well onto today's Challenge over at Sweet Stampin'. "The Great Outdoors", and our Sponsors this week are Stamp & Create.
Go ahead and have a go at this weeks theme, but don't forget we are a stamping challenge, so some stamping somewhere please.

I have chosen this lovely paper as the inspiration for our theme, Not sure who makes it as it was a single sheet, it once belonged to a 6x6 pad but not sure which one!
I have stamped one of my Hero Art Sentiment, and finished off with some mock stitching, a Whiff of Joy Corner Die, a Memory box Bunting Die and a few different coloured Enamel Dots.

Flower Wreath~

Hi Girls~

A big thank you for all the comments you leave for me, they are so sweet and I appreciate them all.

I have been making some cards for my Daughter's work colleges, they sure do keep me in business and I love the variation they ask for so always nice to do.

I have made a Wedding Anniversary card. I wanted to do something a little different from the usual cute image (mind you I have some great Anniversary images!)
This flower wreath stamp is from "Chloe", she is a super lady and her stamps are just so nice, I will be buying more supplies off her in October at the "Happy Stamper Show" Port Sunlight, where she will have a stall (if you live near Port Sunlight it is a fabulous Stamping show, but note that it's ticket's only, so you must buy one asap, here is the link to it.

I stamped the Flower Wreath a couple of times on some pearly cardstock, then decoupaged some of the flowers on the top of the original stamped image. I used a clear embossing powder to give it all a shine. I added some Hobby House pearls to the flower centres and used the pc to generate the Sentiment. I matted it all with a touch of Silver mirror board. Nice and Simple, yet the stamp I think is just super.

Easel Post it Note Holder~

Hi Girls

Me again, I don't know, don't post for ages and then twice on the same day.
I have been busy making some little post it note pad note holders. (Saw this done on C&C on tv the other day, Debbie from Craft Asylum was making them, so I thought I would give it a go).
So...I ended up making half a dozen, here are three of them.

I started with a piece of card that I folded in the traditional Easel card way, then stuck the post it notes to the bottom section. The wording "Notes" is done with the Letter Box Stamp from Clarity Stamps (I use this so much it's a wonder it has not worn out, I use it on loads of projects and the kids on the Summer Workshops always use it too).
The papers are all loose sheets from my stash, great way to use up lots of leftovers. I have finished them off with flowers, enamel dots, pearls and a few metal butterfly's.

Can it be September!!

Hi Girls

Sorry I have been missing in action lately.

I have had a few Commissions to get out the way including a 12x12 Scrapbook, so that took up a lot of time, now to top it all my lovely Daughter Eve and her Fiancée Sean have just got the Keys to their new house, so I have been busy helping their too.....Exciting and Emotional all at the same time. They are very happy and their house is so sweet.

I will show you the Kaisercraft Advent Calenders I am working on at a later date. They are quite big and alot of work so not had alot of time to do any other projects.
I am also waiting on photo's to do two "Boy" scrapbooks, so more big commissions, but hey I am not complaining, I love it!

Sweet Stampin' Cowboy/Girl Theme...Yee Ha!

Hello Girls.

Another Saturday means another great challenge waiting for you at Sweet Stampin'.
This weeks it's.....Yee Ha.....Cowboy/Cowgirl Theme. Our sponsors are Crafts U Love.

I like this one as I have two great stamps from Nellie Snellen, it gives me chance to use them, and I have done just that....Used them both!
I decided to make a couple of Big Tags using the Cowboy and the Indian. (Did you ever play this game when you were younger?) I was always an Indian on foot being chased by Cowboys on bikes....How's that fair!! Gosh that was a long time ago now, still remember it tho'.

I started with Craftwork Cards Tags and used some leftover papers from my box to cover them. I have stamped the set of Grunge Stampin' Up stamps on top of the papers and finished with the images which I coloured with Pro-Markers and some red twine.

Challenge Time and it's a beauty~

Hi All~

Wow it's challenge time again at Sweet Stampin', so without further ado (don't you just love daft sayings like this!)
Here is this weeks card.
The Theme is actually a "Photo Inspiration" from Team Mate Judy's holidays, just look how sweet it is.
You can interpret this photo as you wish but please remember we are a Stamping Challenge, so some Stamping required please!
Our sponsors this week are close to my heart (love 'em) "Hobby House".
I use the products Jill from Hobby House brings us all the time, and their website with gorgeous goodies can be found here:

I have a little white paper Gift Bag for this weeks challenge. (I thought I would use this as there is a little bag hanging from the handlebars of the bike!)
I enjoy making these and they always sell well at my Craft Fairs (talking of which, I had one a couple of weeks ago and did really well)

I have started with a white bag from Samuel Taylors shop at Skipton (Ooo one of my favourite shop, it's a fab place for Crafting, beads, material and wool all under one roof, a link to their website is here:)
I then used a sheet of Dotty Heidi Grace paper, and a panel from a Pad of Heartfelt Creation's Paper, this pad is gorgeous.
I have Stamped and Embossed a Sentiment by Paper Smooches. The wee Owl Stamp was free on a Magazine a few weeks ago. Ribbon is from my stash, flowers were stamped and coloured with Pro-Markers (these were free on the Stamp set too). The Doily is from the Range.
The border is one of my Martha Stewart punches.

Sorry about the hideous photo!

Summer School 2014~

Hello Girls.

Don't even ask where I have been.....This working lark is a nightmare!!
It might have only been a full weeks work, but it might has well have been a years!!
I much prefer working from home.....Eh! Durr... No brainer.

Anyway's I am back in Blog Land, unfortunately I also now in Facebook land (not liking it much tho', just don't get it! What's with all the complete and utter rubbish shared!!!  Help someone, please say it will get better.

I am busy making several of my big Kasercrafts Advent Calenders, so they taking up quite a lot of time. I have not really had any time for anything else since my week at Summer School.
I can show you a couple of photo's of what the children made, and then get back to you later with photo's of my Crafting.

Hello Birdie!!

Hello Ladies~

It's another Saturday (boy they come round quick don't they?)
Well that means Challenge time over at Sweet Stampin', and this weeks theme is "Take Flight", so that's anything that flies!! Remember we are a Stampin' Challenge, so a bit of stamping somewhere on your project please!
Our sponsors this week are Crafty Ribbons.

So my Project this week is a "Little Easel"....I love making these, they are so cute and measure about 6x4 on the little matt part.
You can use them Landscape or Portrait, and they come all flat packed, so they need a little preparing, but they are easy peasy. You can find them here at Pinflair.

I covered the Easel part with pretty torn papers and distressed the edges with inks. I used the Tim Holtz Bird Cage Die (which I love) then I added Flowers from my stash, a K&co plastic button and some pearls to finish. I have stamped the little LOTV Tag under the flowers with Momento Coco Ink.

Hi Girls~

A big Hello to all my New Followers, and a big thank you for all the lovely comments you leave for me, much appreciated.

The "C" word in July, Not Again!

Hi Girls~

It was not my idea to do a "C" Theme in July, it was the lovely team over at Sweet Stampin'.
Thank you girls, you got me started on my "C" stack!!

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE "C", after all it's my Birthday that day too.....But in July!!
A tad early for me really, but I do realise it is NEVER too early to start Cardmaking.
I usually start in October, but this is my first EVER in July.....

So here it is, hope you like:

I bought this Wild Rose Studio Stamp last month from Samuel Taylors, and it was in the sale. I don't have any Penguin stamps, so I just had to have him/her when I saw it.
I Coloured with Pro-Markers, used one of my Snowflake embossing Folders for the background and a touch of Holly paper and a piece of black cardstock. The "Wish upon a Star" sentiment was on with the image. Nice and Easy.

Christmas in July....Never been known in this house!

Hello Girls~

A Big Hello to all my New Followers, and thank you all for the lovely comments you have left for me and the lovely messages about the photo of me, Mum and Sister. Much Appreciated.

What a busy week last week was, no doubt the same is yet to come!
I had tons of Commissions to finish, a Large Kaiser Craft box advent to finish for a friend's Wedding Anniversary yesterday, A Craft Fair Sale Saturday and other "housey" jobs to fit in inbetween....A woman's work is never done!!

So here is that Advent to show you all.
It is the second one I have made, and have a few orders for them too. They are not cheap to make (they cost over £25 in their Raw state) but they are so much fun to do and I have really enjoyed making them (even though they do take a few days to complete!)
I started off assembling the frame, I then painted it with Amsterdam paints in red. I made up all the little boxes glueing each one, painting them then adding little squares of Christmas papers to each side. The numbers (which come in the kit) I then dipped in gold ink and embossed using clear powder to give them a gold shiny look. The 8x8 central paper (with the vintage Father Christmas on) is from Pion Papers, oh these are so lovely.
All finished off with a splatter of stickles glue, a poinsettia, and some scrabble tiles (I pick up the games at any charity shop!)
Voilà.....

The Advents can be found here:

Here are the flowers my Bestest Friend Angie gave me from her beautiful garden, thank you sweetie they smell so lovely!

Back from Spain, Brown, no Voice and Full of Smiles~

Buena Noches Girls (that's good evening in Spanish....I know, I go to Spain for a week and think I am Spanish now!!   LOL

Anyway I am back and did not even get a day off before it was hard at it CRAFTING.
Waiting for me were a stack of commissions which I spent all day yesterday doing.
Today was Ironing Day (the basket looked like a peak on K2...That's just slightly smaller than Everest for those who like to know!!)
Obviously I can iron, watch Raffa Nadal and the football all at the same time......But we all know women have always been able to multi-task haven't we?

My card today is one of my Commissions, hope you like it.

Not sure if these papers are Kaisercrafts, they are all leftovers from my box. Image is LOTV art Pad and finished off with a little chipboard Giraffe, and a few tiny buttons.

~Backs to the Mediterranean~

I would also like to share a photo of Me, My Sister Mandy and My lovely Mum Beryl, we were on one of our shopping spree's on the Beach....The Clothes Shops are fantastic and a really good price too.

My Suitcase was over by 1kg going. The lovely lady on the Jet2 desk let me off.....
On the way back home (after shopping all week) it was by 4.5 over.....More smiles needed to the "drop dead gorgeous" Jet2 Spanish Bloke. At first he said Ooh No....Then after I pretended I was crying he said I won't make you take your 20 pairs of new shoes out (had he had a quick look!!). He then let me off.........There is a GOD!
I survived the flight too...........Cried like a baby, but am in one piece!

Love to you all. Debbiex

~Summer Fun~@ Sweet Stampin'

Hello girls,

Hope you are all well. A big Thank you for all your lovely comments you leave for me, I appreciate each and every one of them, so thank you very much.

I have scheduled the post for today as I am not back from Spain until later on this evening, I will fill you in with all the holiday news in my next post.
Our theme this Saturday at Sweet Stampin' is "Summer Fun", and I have a Holiday themed card to show you. Our Sponsors this week are Hobbycutz.
My friend Angie went to Canada on holiday a few weeks ago and I gave her this card before she went as a "Miss You", as she was away 3 whole weeks!  Hope you like it.

The beautiful Hot Air Balloon Papers used are MME "Sky's the Limit", the image is a very sweet Magnolia Tilda (can't remember the last time I used a Tilda, I have quite a few as well, but this lady with her matching luggage is a favourite, and I love to PP the clothes and suitcase.)
The Miss You sentiment is a Stamp from a Just Right Set. The image is coloured with Pro-Markers.

Who spilt all the paint!!

Hiya Girls,

I am still living it up in Spain at the moment, only have a few days left before I come home....Boo Hoo!

I have a scheduled post again for you today, set up before I left for Spain, so hope you are reading this!!

It is my Nephew's Birthday in July and I have made him this card. I think he will love all the Paint splats as he is quite Arty.

I have to give a shout out to Squirrel of Squirrel's World (go check out her lovely blog), as this card is made with one of her cards as inspiration. When I saw it I knew my Nephew would love it, so thank you Squirrel.
All the paint splatters are made using Momento Inks in various colours. The "Splat stamps" are from Stampin' Up and Inkilicious Stamps, the Sentiment is a LOTV. As Curtis likes a bit of Bling, I popped on a couple of Paper Mania Dome Stickers.
Unfortunately it is not a patch on Squirrel's card (her's is stunning) I think I went abit splat mad!
I have however really enjoyed making it and will definitely try this one again as it was such fun to do.

I am not here.....

Hello Blog Friends~

Well then.....this is a scheduled post from me as I am currently in Sunny Spain, watching the World Cup and having a good time with Mum and Sister.....Bliss~

Unfortunately our performance on Thursday means I won't be as enthusiastic about watching us play next Tuesday in a Spanish bar, I was all ready to scream my head off, but now it's all changed, thanks for that boys!!

I am only away for a week, but boy do we cram a lot of Fun in that short time. I have my Tablet with me, but not sure I will get the Wi-fi or have time to use it, so hope I can catch up on what you have all been up too when I get back.

So my post.....

It is a Father's Day card to show you, which I made for last weekend. This card was made for one of my Daughters Work friends. I love these LOTV Art Pads, so useful and the colouring is just so nice.
An easy card to make when you have not got time to colour an image yourself. The papers are all from my stash, the banner tab is a Die-Namics die and the star brad is from a Sn@p Brad set called Life.
The Sentiment is by Craftwork Cards. Quite a simple card really, but that was what I was asked for.
See you all soon, take care.

Say it with Flowers Please~

Hi there Girls~

Today is Saturday so that means another Challenge over at Sweet Stampin'.
Sooooo easy this week......It's "Say it with Flowers", why not go take a look at the lovely cards my team mates came up with. Our sponsors this week are The Ribbon Girl.

I am in a bit of a "Pickle" here at the moment as it is only a week off my trip away with Mum and Sister to Benidorm. I am both excited and apprehensive.
I am trying to do a touch of packing in-between doing some much needed housework.
It will be my Mum's Birthday tomorrow, hence the trip, so I am getting myself in the Holiday mood (and trying not to think about flying!!).
Mum and Mandy are already packed and waiting to go!

Yesterday we both took Mum out for lunch at a local Hotel for "Fizzy Friday" (that's a buffet meal with Champagne) It was so lovely and has got us well in the Holiday mood!

So onto today's card for Sweet Stampin'.
I have had this image stamped for ages, so thought with this challenge being Flowers I would use it.
I used Tim Holtz markers straight to stamp with this one and did a touch of doodling around the Nestie Shape. The Pattern Paper is a 6x6 sheet of Carta Bella Traditions, and the plain matting is from a pad by Craftwork Cards.
I have finished off with a K&Co Butterfly Brad and a corner by Whiff of Joy. I have tried to keep this one C&S.

Father's Day coming up~

Hello Girls~
How's it going.

I had a lovely day today shopping with my Mum, having lunch and then trying on clothes.
We are due to go on Holiday in 11 days, so we are so excited now.

My Daughter has asked me to make a couple of Father's Day cards for the girls at work, so here is one I made using the lovely image from the Art Pads by LOTV. Super little image I think, and just right for a Father's Day card.

I used some leftover papers from my box and a touch of dark green bazzil cardstock. The Sentiment is by Craftwork Cards, the pearls are Hobby House and the little wooden birds are from Calico Crafts.
I did not do anything to the image itself, I think it's perfect the way it is.

Debbie Shaw's "Little Beach Bag"~

Hi Girls

Sorry I have been missing in action for a week, but time flies when you are having fun....and I have been having lots of fun. This working from home lark is a joy, mind you I do get a bit distracted being near a tv, and having my best friend Angie 4 doors away!!
The said friend came down crafting this week and we had a great time trying out our new stamp sets, I will get round to showing you what we did when I have a spare minute!

I have been busy having a bit of a "Sew".....I used to make a living from Sewing in the late 1980's, and made a range of soft furnishings from Roman Blinds to Bedding. I loved it and before my Children came along I had my own room devoted to the machine and a huge table to cut on. I now have to share the Sewing area with my ever growing "Paper" stash, but they seem to get along ok!!
So I thought I would show you the Beach Bag I have made for my coming "Spanish" holiday (ooo two weeks today!)

Hope you will excuse my very messy Craft Room in the background of the photo. I am getting ready for my weeks teaching (in July) at Summer School, so have a giant box full of project for the dozen children I will be teaching.

Anyway back to the bag.
I have used the wonderful step by step tutorial from Debbie Shaw to make this bag. It is also reversible so makes two in one really and It is so very easy and Debbie's video is great.
When I made this bag I paused the video while I did each step, It took me about 3 hours with a couple of coffee stops!
I have now made several of these and can do them in just over an hour, so nice to do. Here is a link to the Youtube Video:
Hope you like it and may be have a go.

Sweet Stampin' Challenge. Father's Day..

Hello Girls~
Another Challenge awaits you over at Sweet Stampin' this week and it's "Father's Day/Special Man, and our sponsors this week are Di's Digi's/Marianne Dies.

I lost my Father 10 years ago at the young age of 67, however my lovely Father in Law always gets a handmade card from me, so this one is for him.

The Lighthouse image is a Kanban stamp, the compass stamp in the left corner is from the same stamp sheet.  I have coloured in with Pro-Markers. The papers are from my stash of leftovers, pearls are Hobby House, and the Sentiment is by Craftwork Cards.
I have used my new Nesting Tonic Dies to cut the image and surround with, Tonic Scalloped/Square Die's. I have these in Circles too, they are wonderful.

Zentangle Fun!

Hi Ladies~

Hope I find you well.

My card today is one I made for my Husband's Auntie.
I "Snail Mail" her once a month, and always send her letter inside a card I have made or bought from a Craft Show, she loves handmade things.
Unfortunately this is a sorry you have just lost your Sister letter, so it is tinged with sadness.
Ruth who has passed away was a lovely lady who contracted Meningitis at the age of 5, she was not given long to live and the disease left her like "a five year old" child all her life, she was so sweet and lived to the ripe old age of 76, not bad for someone who's life expectancy was so short....However for Auntie Joan that's no comfort, it was still her Sister, so this card has a letter inside to tell her I am thinking of her at this sad time.

This Flower image I have used is Zendoodles by Lindsay Mason (I also bought the Mushroom version too), it's so lovely to Tangle, and I am having great fun doodling inside each petal.

So not much to this one really. A card blank, the stamped image doodled with a Micron Pen, a spot of matting on black and a doddled edge. Done.

I am going to stamp some more of these flowers to Zentangle on my flight to Spain which is in 3 weeks. Those of you who know me know I "Hate Flying" and I will try anything to keep myself occupied and busy, so I don't cry like a baby! I thought this would keep me in the Zentangle Zone and stop me listening to the engine and looking to see the aircraft still has wings!

Thank you for calling by.

Baby Boy Card

Hi Girls~

Hope your weather is being nice for you this Bank Holiday Monday..

I have a Baby Card to show you today. I make a lot of cards for my Daughter's work friends and this baby card is one of them.

I chose this cute LOTV image from one of their Art Pads. The Balloon die is one of my favourites, but I don't have the packaging so have forgotten who its made by, but it is a super little die and has a couple of different balloon shapes on it. The hanging Hearts are a Memory Box die. The scalloped border punch is EK Success. I have also used one of my Embossing folders with clouds on (perfect as this image is a moon and cloud design).

Have a great day, thank you for looking and leaving such lovely comments.

Dinky ATC!

Hi Girls,

Not had time to post at all this week....Super busy, and a day out to Ikea with bessie Mate Angie was a full on day (especially as we went to the Leeds Ikea instead of the Warrington one.....Silly Moo on the Sat Nag got it wrong!!....Or did Angie put the wrong address in!!. Anyway a great day was had, and we are talking 15 mins difference in time, so no problems....I forgive you Ang!

So I have been having a play with a new stamp bought on said Ikea day (as we detoured towards the Samuel Taylors Shop at Skipton, ooooo my favourite shop EVER!)
Its a Paper Artsy stamp "Eclectica", and it's a bit Steampunkish, sweet and perfect size for an ATC which is what I have made.

Papers in the background are Creative Expressions Terresa Collins papers, and all the background stamps are Stampin' UP (this set called "Gorgeous Grunge" is a set I have just bought off Anne who is having a rest from crafting for a while (all the best Anne and thank you the stamps are perfect.)
I have coloured the image with Tim Holtz Markers, and finished with some Enamel Drops by Studio Calico.

(Do you like my two little Mushroom candles I bought in a shop away, ha ha so cute!)

Sweet Stampin' Challenge~My Mum.

Hello Ladies~

Saturday means another Challenge over at Sweet Stampin' and this week our Theme is "Milestone Birthdays".
As My Lovely Mum "Beryl" is 75 this month, (mind you she doesn't look it as you can see by the photo of her I have added to this post), I decided to use her Birthday as my inspiration for the Milestone Birthday for this theme.
Our Sponsors this week are "Crafts U Love".

My Mum does not look 75 does she, hope I look and act like her when I am her age, she is amazing.
Her dress sense is so lovely, she has beautiful silver grey bobbed hair and lovely skin, she is always so positive and happy and I love her so much. This is a recent photo, taken when Mum, my Sister, my Friend and I went to Spain on holiday.
In this photo (if you look in the background you will see a load of blokes on a Stag night all wearing the Cowboy hats,) one of them gave Mum his hat for the photo, she was just minding her own business sat at the bar in Benidorm's "Western Pub", when one of them just popped his hat on her head!!

This is another photo of Me, Mum and My Sister Mandy, backs to the Mediterranean!

I started my card with a 7x7 Samuel Taylor blank, I used all LOTV papers + Image from one of the Art Pads. I used a Darkroom Door Sentiment Stamp called "String Sentiments". I just love this set, it has Birthday, sympathy, get well, hello, thinking of you, hugs and congratulations in the set and all have this string effect through the words. The card is finished with a few different pearl embellishments.

Ruby Wedding

Hi there Ladies

Thank you for all the lovely comments you have left for me, they are all so nice to read.

As the weather is not very nice today, I have done jobs indoors (including colouring my hair, so now it's not quite as grey as it was yesterday!) and a few horrid cleaning jobs.
It's a crafting session for me this afternoon, got a couple of commissions to finish before I can have a relaxed play.
Onto today's Make, I made this card s a few weeks ago. Hope you like it.

This card was made for one of my Daughter's work friends. The papers are all from my leftover stash, Border Punch is MS, spray and flowers are Anna Marie.
I am not that keen on this Nestie Shape, it's not one of my favourites, but I had not used this shape for ages so thought it should have an outing, don't know if I like it enough to use again tho'.

Swinging Happily~

Hi Girls~

Hope you are having nice weather today, it's lovely where I am, warm and Sunny.
I have been to my Zumba Class and worked really hard, so now I can have a little crafty play.
I have finished all my Daughter's Commissions from work, I love it when Eve comes home with her little notes saying what they all want and yesterday it was a couple of Baby cards and a Birthday card.

So...on to today's card. It is my friend's Wedding Anniversary soon and I have made this card for them.
I love this LOTV image chosen, I have used this several times before for an Anniversary card.

These papers are Teressa Collins Creative Expressions, the sentiment is LOTV also.
The image is from a LOTV Art Pad, although I do have the actual rubber stamp too.
I am off to prepare tea now.

Wedding Birds!

Hello Girls~

Yesterday I had a busy day cleaning up my Craft Studio......Always a waste of time (4 hours worth to be precise) as within 10 minutes It was all messed up again!!
I also hate to throw anything away, and have trouble putting things to the side to sell if I don't use them...Pathetic really as we all need to make room for NEW stash. I actually did really well and got quite a bit sorted....As to whether I am going to be able to part with it is another matter!!

So sitting here (In my relatively tidy Craft Studio!) I have been making a card for one of my Daughter's Work friends. This time she requested a Wedding Card for a Gay Couple. I always turn to this Hobby House bird image when asked for this type of card, think it's perfect (as there is no Man/Woman image). I have used this several times before for same sex Wedding Cards.

These green papers are LOTV. The little hanging hearts are MB die, and the Heart border is a MS punch. I bought these little acrylic hearts when I was at Port Sunlight, but not sure who makes them. Finished with some Star Dust stickles.

Honey Bee....

Hello Girls

I hope you are all well and don't have horrid rain like we seem to be having at the moment. Tuesday was lovely (I managed to dry my washing outside from 9am--4pm) but since then "Rain" and more rain + breezy too, not cold, but not pleasant either!
No more winging....

I have a card for you today. My Daughter's friend asked for a card for a man who keeps Bee's....I was so pleased when she said that as I knew what I was going to use straight away (don't you love it when that happen's!)
A while back I bought this Bee Stamp Set by Chocolate Baroque and I knew in my stash somewhere I had this Honeycomb paper.
My Hubby has put the Kibosh on it a bit when he saw it saying I had put the paper on the wrong way round, that the points of the honeycomb should be facing upwards, looks like Chicken Wire and not Honeycomb............That's my own fault for marrying a Public School Boy....They miss nout!!
He's right tho', and now I can't stop thinking "Chicken Run"!

I have used Pro-Markers to colour the hive, Bees & Flowers, I have used a touch of Stickles on the Bee wings. Not sure what make the paper is sorry, I think it could be Prima but really don't know.

Little Heart Frame~

Hi Ladies~

Hope you are all enjoyed your Bank Holiday Monday.

My lot all love it when they get a Monday off, they love the fact the week is a short one! I don't have that problem, luckily I work here at home, crafting, so for me it's always a fun short week!! Mind you it gets a bit hectic for me when I have a commission to do for a Wedding or Special Occasion......It's full on then, but I do love it tho'.

So onto today's project. This little Wall Hanging is from my friend Rob the MDF Man. All Rob's MDF is cut at his workshop in Macclesfield, and the quality is fantastic, never needs sanding, just a light Gesso covering and it's ready to paint. I have used Do-Crafts Artiste Acrylic Paint in Sand to cover mine.
I have then stamped on the frame with Momento Cocoa Ink using one of my Script Stamps. The paper sandwiched between the two Mdf pieces is from my stash and I have a load of Mei Flower Acrylic Hearts for the centre of the mdf cut out hearts, 8 tiny ones and 1, more ornate for the middle.

Sweet Stampin' Fairy/Fantasy

Hi Ladies~

Saturday again and it's May...yes I did say MAY!
It's Challenge time over at Sweet Stampin'.....This week it's Fairy's/Fantasy, and our Sponsor's this week are Crafty Devil's.

I was not sure what I was going to make for this Challenge as I am not necessarily a big "Fairy" person (some might disagree, but that's another story!!)
I then remembered my trusted LOTV fairy selection, the hardest part was deciding which one to choose. (I do have several!)
This is the one that won me over in the end. I love her, just hope you do too. She is one of the older images, but to me she is so sophisticated and grown up, some how, so hope you like her.

So the Image is LOTV, papers are from my stash (I like to use all my leftovers, and at the moment my box is jammed full!) Gems are Hobby House, not sure if this sentiment is a LOTV too, think it is. Leaves are a NS punch, flowers were bought at GNPE a month ago, finished off with a smattering of Stardust Stickles on her wings and dress.

A Great Workshop~

Hello Ladies~

Thought you might like to hear about my day yesterday........
I ran a Craft Workshop for my lovely Lady Friends.

It was a fabulous day and the 11 girls who attended made a wonderful Easel, using pretty papers, plenty of Ink, and gorgeous rubber stamping.

Aren't they just gorgeous.

Unfortunately I did not manage to take a close up photo, so the Easels are not seen too clearly, but please take my word for it when I say they are absolutely gorgeous and even though they are all very similar (as the papers used were all from the same family) they are all so individual and have their own style.
Wow Girls you did do a wonderful job, thank you for making the day so great.
Not long before we are doing it all again!
