Much Nicer!!

Hi All~~

Well I am a bit happier with my latest craft project...Was not sure about the last card, the colour combo not quite right for me, and the more I looked at it the more I knew it was not me at all..
Anyway...this latest card is, so thats made me alot happier. Everyone makes mistakes and it just does not bother me, if I make a mistake I move on...I always say In Scrapbooking there are NO MISTAKES....and I mean it!

I am quite happy with this latest card, and was waiting to use my GG decoupage again. Loved it last time and love it now...
I have entered the following challenges:

http://sugarbowlblog.blogspot.com/2010/05/challenge-35-marlenes-sketch.html

http://paperplaychallenges.blogspot.com/2010/05/10-week-18-stampdigi-and-bling.html

http://colourcreatechallenge.blogspot.com/2010/05/colour-create-44-dt-call.html

I have used this GG decoupage kit, it's so easy, all die-cut (not that thats a must as I like cutting it out), and I have matched the colours to the Colour Create challenge, like these colours, feels much more my style..
The papers were from my OLD stash, looked through and found them, the linen effect cream colour originally came in a Scrapbook kit and I never used it as it was a funny size, perfect for cards though.
I have had another go at making my own flower, and used a NS punch on the leaves. I have used a MS punch for the corners and used Whiff of Joy's brilliant tutorial for the border punch edging on the quater circle corners..
I have used some stones for added bling. I had a lovely "Just Because" sentiment and managed to bend it slightly on my acrilic block, so it would go around the edge of the cirle.

Debbie, I can't find your e-mail address, so I'm going to answer your question re my Tilda with flowering vine card. That circle of train track?...LOL...that is suppose to be a circle of stone/cement bricks...Hee hee hee. I was trying to make a window or door opening in a wall. I glued the inner circle with the background picture on a much larger circle that's 1/2" wider. Then I found this grey scrapbook page that looks like cement to me and cut strips from it. Then I cut the strips to form the bricks that are a bit less than 1/2". I shaped these bricks by snipping the sides at an angle--you can see that in the picture, right? These 'bricks' were then glued in the space between the inner and outer circles.
Hope this makes sense.

Hugs.
