It's "Snow" Fun being a Baby~

Hiya Girls,

I know the weather is a bit like "Winter", but I am fully aware that it is actually STILL AUGUST, So STOP ALL THIS RAIN!!
Oh I am getting mi knickers in a twist about it. No barbi's, no meals outdoors and no sunbathing!!

Right rant over.....
I have been up to my eye's in "C" cards. Those of you who know me, know I do not use the "C" word until September, and NO it's not September just yet!

I have picked this cute Mo image topper and some new papers I bought today. They are Papermania Happy Days. Not a bit "C" in theme, but I wanted quite pale, muted colours to go with this image, so these fit the bill.

I love Mo images and this one is just so sweet, a non-traditional card but still lovely, I think!

Peace (at Last!)

Hiya Girls

Well what a wash out Bank Holiday Monday was for us here in Cumbria. No problems as rain means watching tv and crafting.
A big kid at heart...that's me, so I was made up when I found The Wizard of Oz and Babe on tv yesterday, perfect for watching while crafting!
I ended up making a couple of cards which I will show at another time, and I managed to finish this  Layout which I started a few weeks ago.
I love this photo of My Girl Eve on her Lilo, when she is on holiday she loves to sunbathe while relaxing in the water. Looks like she is the only one in that pool, think she was!

Tired but still here!

Hello Ladies~

Hope I find you well and enjoying Bank Holiday Monday.
Unfortunately it is Raining here!!
Well what did you expect....It's a Bank Holiday!!

My Blogging has been abit slow of late, but that is due to my friend Angie and I returning from a fabulous "Retreat" in Lancashire, where we got to Craft for two full days, it was bliss.

Got alot of catching up to do at home now tho', so can only blog when my jobs are done!!
Having a few hours off from housework after I have tackled my Mount Everest of Ironing, so the quicker I can get that done the quicker I can "Play".

Before bed last night I made a card for the Stampotique Challenge, so here it is.
They have asked for a "One Layer" card, not something I am very good at, but I am always up for a challenge!!

I have used a Stampotique Rubber Stamp called Daniel Torrente, and rain drops and border stamps by Claudine Hellmuth called "Doodles". The Sentiment is from a Vacation set I have had for ages, not sure of the make tho'. The little bird on the hat and sentiment is from a set by Craftwork Cards.
I have used Tim Holtz distress markers for all the colouring and did some doodling round the edges.

Sweet Stampin' DT Card~

Hello Girls~

Saturday means another Challenge over at Sweet Stampin'.
This week it's a theme I have never tried before (but I really enjoyed doing it!)
Out of the Frame......What on earth is that I hear you say (well if you are anything like me that is!)
Well...It is where you stamp your image and then cut it out with a die but leaving a bit popping out of the frame.
I was not sure how to do it so popped on You tube and there it was in full detail. Easy Peasy!
Hope you will enjoy having a go too.
Our sponsors this week are Sweet Stamps.

For my card I chose this image by Fizzy Moon.
I love this image, it is so versatile. This Teddy with his big bunch of flowers I have used for Get Well, Sorry, Mothers Day and General Birthday cards, it really does fit anything.

I have used a couple of die ornate circles. A large Marianne shaped doily, and a couple of Nesties. The papers are Bo-Bunny, the flower is Wild Orchid and the image is coloured with Pro-markers, the sentiment came with the Teddy Stamp.

Monochrome Butterflies~

Hi Girls~

By the time you read this post, my friend Angie and I will be on the road to a "Retreat" in Lancashire. We are having Wed & Thu (two full days) of crafting heaven.....Oh we cannot wait.
I will tell you all about what we get up to at a later date.
Even we don't know exactly what it entails, but we are staying overnight, so we get two 9am-6pm days "Playing"!!
What could be better, total bliss!!

I made this card to say thank you to Angie for organising our trip.
I have not made and easel card for ages, not really my usual style, but these tiny 5x5 scalloped cards just look so cute made this way, well I think so anyway!

I have used some Papermania "Bookprint" paper in Monochrome. I then stamped some Inkylicious butterflies on the same paper, added some 3d foam to them, then added a few Hobby House pearls to the bodies before adding then to the card.
The sentiment is from a Hero Arts Set and the ribbon is from my local market stall.
I added another 3d butterfly to the base part of the card, this was perfect to use as the stopper for the easel section.

Sorry about the dreadful photo, the light was shocking!

Friends Forever~

Hello Ladies

Unfortunately I have not felt very well today, I woke up with awful pains in my neck and shoulder and have just not managed to shift it all day. Two sets of Ibuprofen later and still, so soar.
I have not felt like leaning over my table and doing any crafting, but I did have this Mo Manning image already stamped, so did a bit of colouring after tea and put this Tag together in a flash.
Hopefully I will feel better tomorrow and I can get back to Scrapbooking.
I finished the Commission Scrapbook I have been working on on Wednesday, but am sorting out photo's for the start of my next one which I will start next week.

This Tag is made using one of Mo Manning's images, this is perfect for a friend's card and I have used it several times.
I have chosen all leftover papers from my stash and wanted to do a "Pink & Brown" combo.
The Tag itself is made from Kraft cardstock and I have inked the edges with Tim Holtz Walnut Stain.
I have added a flower from a Retro Punch. The image is coloured with Pro-Markers, and I have added a few Hobbyhouse Pearls.

Our House In the Middle of the Street...

Hi Girls

Go on then how many of you are now singing and doing the Madness dance?
You know you want to!!

One of my friend's daughters has just moved into her New Home so I have made this card (a bit quickly, it only took me 15 minutes! I had to rush it unfortunately.)
It's not the best colouring, but thought I would show you anyway.

I love this little image of the Mushroom type house, it's by Polka Doodles and is just right for a Housewarming I think, just a bit "cookie".
The Sentiment is from another House Warming stamps set by Kaiser Crafts.

Not sure where this paper is from, but it was a 12x12 sheet made up of 4 6" squares and this is one of them. I like this fresh blue and lemon colour combo.
Coloured with Pro-Markers and Copics, ribbon from my stash and Hobby House pearls to finish.

Things With Wings~

Hello Girls,

Saturday means a Challenge over at ~Sweet Stampin'~.
This weeks theme is "Things With Wings", so Birds, Aircraft or in my case Fairy.

I have chosen this gorgeous LOTV image, which is just perfect, as our sponsor this week is the fabulous LOTV!
I have used one of my favourite Nestie shapes under the image, very simple looking but, a lovely shape.
Instead of making a card I decided, (as I always need gift bags,)  I would use this little "Kraft" type lunch bag to decorate.
I have chosen some Christie Tomlinson & Stampin' Up papers, and I have used this lovely MS lacy punch. The Sentiment is also LOTV.
Doily, flowers and ribbon are all from my stash. Finished off with a couple of wooden embellishments.

AWAL for a Week~

Hi Girls.

I will be missing in action for a week while I try to earn some money!!
It is time for me to do a weeks work, if you can call it work!
I am teaching Scrapbooking all week to about 10 kids, and I cannot wait.

I did this teaching last year and it was a great success, I loved it. Hard work, and on my feet all week, but the children were great, they seemed to really like it, and each went home with a full 12x12 Album and several Craft Projects.
I have my trusty "Wingman" Angie with me, so I know I can't go wrong!
She is just brilliant and very patient with the kids, even when they are calling for help every five minutes.
We will have a good laugh and be doing Scrapbooking (something which we love), so what more could we want.

OMG how fantastic were the Olympics yesterday. I tried so hard not to cry, but just gave in in the end and had a good cry!
Good Job!  Go team GB, lets have some more of that please!

I am leaving you with a card I made for a friends 70th Birthday.

Happy Birthday to my Friend~

Hello Ladies~

It is my friend Angie's Birthday today, and although she has had her pressy off me, I thought I would make this little box as an extra gift to give her on the day.

This little box WAS a box a bottle of perfume came in.
I am a bit cross I forgot to take a photo Pre-Altering!! I just did not even think about it, and the thing is it was a plain boring green box, so would have been nice to have seen the before and after!
Never mind.

I decided as Angie loves her Nail Polish (she has the best painted Toe nails I have ever seen!!)
I would pop two lovely colours inside this little box.
I started with some Stampin' Up paper, a MS punch, A lovely Crafty Individual Stamp, some Craftwork Cards flowers and Ribbon from my stash.
