Could "Spring" be in the Air??

Hi Girls,

The answer to my Question "Could Spring be in the Air"....Is hopefully YES!!

I went out for a little drinkie's on Saturday Night (a Port and Cheese night at an old fashioned pub not far away called "The Prince of Wales",) It was a fantastic night and the Port and Real ale went down very well indeed!!
We take a train there and back (just 15 minutes each way) and then we walk home at the end, that takes about 30 minutes, I am usually really cold and have a scarf and gloves on however last night it was really mild and I was quite warm after my brisk walk......hence the "Spring" talk!

Anyway after a fix of Rugby on tv (6 Nations) and a bit of ironing...Yak! I have had a play, and I came up with this "Spring" card with a Craftwork Cards image, Warren the rabbit on.
I was feeling very "Spring like" and had just bought a pack of Pro-Markers called Spring at a local craftshop, so decided to use them on this gorgeous image and some leftover papers from my box, I am really pleased with the finished fresh feel.

I do apologise for the really bad photograph, but I just never seem to get the light right, I am just pretty useless at it, but hey ho, not alot I can do about it!

Sweet Edwin~

Hello Ladies~

As it is Saturday this is my scheduled post for the Sweet Stampin challenge. Our Sponsors this week are Quixotic, and the theme is "Masculine".
I thought of this lovely "Edwin" stamp I have had for a bit now.
Even though I like the Tilda's, I do love the Edwin stamps even more and this image with him in his little jeans and his hand in his pocket is one of my favorites.

Unfortunately as I was taking the photo, the card went crashing to the floor and I think it got caught on something and the image has a couple of black lines going across it....Ruined! OMG don't you hate it when that happens? Usually I touch it with inky fingers (I am very messy!) but this looks awful. I think I might try (if I have time) to stamp and colour the image again and pop it over the top! Oh well!

I have used leftover papers, no idea what make they are, a MS punched edge, some of my Prima buttons, some oval Nestie shapes, swirls from Louise's candy (oh I am lucky, there were some fab things in that candy!) The image is coloured with Pro-markers.

Stampotique Monster Tag~

Hello Ladies,

Hope you have had a nice day and your weather has been better than mine...It has been raining and windy all day today, what a boar!

I usually go out for a walk every day with my friend Christine, but not today, when that happens I have a backup plan....My Zumba Dance Game on the Wii!! Ha Ha.
Once I start dancing I often wonder if it would be better to go for a walk and get wet!! I end up really wrecked, but it is fun tho'.

I have been ironing today and doing inside jobs like bathroom and hall/landing cleaning....Yak!
But tonight I have had a bit of a play and have come up with something grungy and wacky for the stampotique Challenge.
I just love this Monster and Shroom and was delighted that the challenge meant I could have another play with him!

I decided to make a big tag and pop it in the "Smash" type book I am making.
I inked the tag with purple and pink inks and acrylic paints, then used a number of stamps to stamp on the background, then I stamped and coloured both the monster and the shroom. I have finished it off by adding a Tim Holtz distressed tatty banner and stamping the word Trek on it.

Frosted Design Sketch

Hi Girls,

Hope I find you all well.

I am feeling alot better today, and after doing a few jobs in the house, I have had a great day watching "Craft" on tv (QVC).
I was very good and only had one purchase, even though Tim Holtz was on, and everything he brought was gorgeous!

I am having a bit of a Scrapbooking revival this week (not that I ever actually STOP doing it), but I have done just a bit more than normal. I have been printing off all my older photographs which are stored on my pc hard drive, I have a folder full ready to print, so that should keep me going for a while!!

Anyway onto today's page....

The background paper I have used on my Layout is from Bo Bunny from the Ad Lib collection, I love the way this has some embellishments already down the left hand side, with some lovely wording. I have added some leftover paper as a border strip and a touch of Kraft card under the photo. I have inked all the edges of my papers and embellishments.
I have added a journalling tag and have used the Nestie Sentiment label as a sort of hinge across the top. The little wooden buttons are by Prima, and I have added some Hobbyhouse Pearls.

My "Best Buy" of the year are these brilliant wooden sentiment stamps by Pixie Expressions called Explore and Travel. I was selling at a craft fair a couple of weeks ago and went for a look around to see what I could buy! I found these fab stamps (10 of them) for £2.....Chuffed rotten! Love them!

I have entered this page at Frosted Designs, they have a fab sketch to follow.

Little Paper Bags~

Hello Girls,
Thank you for all your lovely comments, it is always nice to read them.

It has been a very nice, warmish, day here, hope it has been nice where you are!
I have had lots of jobs to do today and only managed a little play an hour ago. Over the last couple of days I have been making items to sell at the next local craft fair (end of March),so I have a couple of little paper bags to show you. I love making these and use up all my leftover papers, toppers and embellishments.

Both bags have a LOTV Topper and Sentiment, and leftover papers from my stash.
On the "Cat" bag I have used a MS punch, a small retro flower punch, some Hobbyhouse pearls, a couple of bits of Candy and some leftover ribbon.

On the "Fairy" bag I have used more candy, and one of my favorite Lindsay Mason "Funstamps", called Dotty Flower, I just love this and use it all the time. It is quite large and very detailed, and really easy to stamp and cut out.

Thank you my lovely Followers~

Hello Girls,

A big thank you to all asking me about my "Lady Problems"! I am feeling much better and have finally done some House Jobs!
I went out for a walk with my friend Christine this morning and that spurred me on to do more stuff, so feel a bit better.

As I am always giving out my info to people who would like me to do some craft commission work for them, I often make my own business cards. I love making these, they are like little ATC's and I use my stamps inks and leftover papers to create them.
This week I have made a load more and thought I would share some of them with you.
I know you can buy professional cards at a really low price, but I love making these and people seem to like the handmade feel too.

I use all my leftover papers, ink them up using Tim's inks and then find all my smallest stamps to decorate them, I hope you like them, they are just a bit of fun really.

Thanks for looking.

Wedding Wishes~

Not felling very well today (Lady problems!), It's my age unfortunately, but that doesn't help me feel any better, the only positive bit about it is, at least I can go and sit and craft and leave all my house jobs until I feel like doing them!

Unfortunately this horrendous weather also affected the Rugby yesterday, and although I did see a match early in the afternoon, the evening game was called off, so I was a bit disappointed. They will be re-scheduling it, but I don't know when yet. No such problems today, so just off to watch it now!

I have been making a few cards today, and this is one of them, a Wedding card which I have made for my Hairdresser.
Last year I made her Wedding Invitations for the Day and Evening, but never got around to actually making her card until now. Her big day is not until April, but I am not one for leaving cards to the last minute, unless I don't know about them!

I have chosen this gorgeous LOTV images. I have always loved this, and even though it is "Cute", I think it can look so Elegant too.
I have coloured with Pro-Markers, added a touch of stickles and a few pearls.
These papers are by Heidi Grace (I just think the design is so beautiful.) Unfortunately I have not done it justice with my appalling photo taking, but it is a lovely colour. I do not very often make shaped cards, prefer to stick to square, but saw this ribbon wrap round card on the LOTV Inspiration website and I just had to have a go.
I am not a hundred percent happy with it and may make another before the due date, but I love the paper colour and design.

Little Tiny House~

Hello There,

Well girl's it's Saturday, that means it's Challenge Time over at Sweet Stampin, this week our sponsors this time are Stamp Addicts and the theme is "Clean and Simple".

I sometimes find C&S hard to do, as I am a layering up girl! But, I won some fantastic Candy from Louise last week and this little "house" stamp was one of the stamps she sent me, isn't it adorable? It is by Polka Doodles and as I am making a "housewarming" card thought it was perfect.

I have use hardly any papers (the ones I have are just leftovers) and have coloured the image with Pro-Markers, the little sentiment is by craftwork cards, and the pearls are Hobbyhouse.
