Wooden Christmas House~

Hi Ladies~
A big thank you for the lovely comments you have been leaving for me, it's always a lovely boost to me to read them. Ta you lovely lot!

I have a Christmas House to show you today. I have made a few of these for my coming sales.
At the Weekend I sold one of these, in this colour, to a little girl who brought her Dad over to buy it for her, oh how sweet!
So I have been busy making a couple more for my next sale on December 1st.

Oh sorry, just realised what a horrendous photo I have taken, I really am pants at photography.....Any tips about making it better would be greatly appreciated!!

These little houses are bought from Samuel Taylors Store and I gesso and then paint them with Acrylic's. I use up all my Christmas paper leftovers to fill the little windows, and I have added some festive ribbon to the edges. Then comes the Fun bit....Finding all the "Small" (small being the operative word!) bits n' bobs to go on the shelves.
In this case I have used a sprig of Holly and Cones, a little snow globe tree ornament ( which actually has the snow inside!), a tiny Father Christmas chalk board with Ho Ho Ho on it, a few scrabble tiles (love these and write what ever I can with 3 or 4 letters....Snow, joy, xmas, ho ho, you get the picture!!
A tea light, a thimble, a small frame and a few metal charms. Done!

They might take a bit of doing these, but I just love to make them, and enjoy finding the little things to go inside it.

Lovely little house Debbie, I have one of these waiting for me to find inspiration..only had it two years! Your ideas are great. Regarding the photo, try turning the camera around so it's the same orientation as the item you are photographing. ie this house is rectangular so turn the camera so the photo is portrait rather than landscape, alternatively crop the photo. Hope this helps. xx

Beautiful work Debbie. Never gotten around to buying the wooden shapes etc. But thus still inspires me to when I can find the time and mojo to craft again. X Hoping you aren't too chilly up there by the lakes

Such a beautiful project, Debbie, and I imagine each one you make will contain different items. You've given me the idea to make one for each of my granddaughters next Christmas - just not enough time this year, but I could start collecting tiny items. Thank you for playing along at Fab'n Funky challenges.

Wonderful Christmas House Debbie! I agree with you, the fun bit is finding all the little things to go inside :) May have to be buying myself another one to do a Christmas themed one now, I might even add a snow roof with cotton wool ;)
