Inky Playtime...

Hi Ladies

I have had quite a play in my Craft Room this week, not only because I have had a few commissions to attend to but because I have sprained my ankle yet again. I did visit the doctor this morning and he has suggested physio, what an inconvenience it is, no Zumba, no gym, no driving, no nothing....accept good old crafting, that is easy when you can sit down half the day!!

So I have a few things to show you, but I will put stuff on again this week, I will show you a card I made for the Stampotique Challenge first so here it is:

I have used a lovely "Clarity" mask called "Circle's box frame"and used Tim Holtz distress inks through it in Mowed Lawn and Dusty Concord. I sprinkled with water after to take some ink off in places. This lovely lady stamp with wings and the number stamps are by Paper Artsy and are called "One Penny Plate".

Red Hot Summer.....Yes Please!

Hi Guys

This is the card I post a couple of weeks ago by mistake!
So here it is again.....sorry for the deja vu!!

So as it's a Saturday, it's time for a lovely challenge over at Sweet Stampin'.
"Red Hot Summer" is the theme (we all like a bit of that!) and our Sponsor this week are us, so a SS goodie bag is on offer.
Please remember we are a Stamping Challenge, so a touch of stamping somewhere please.

I hope you like this lovely image as much as I do. Perfect for Summer Time.
It is one of my favorite stamping company's, Stampin' Bella. I have about 8 of their stamps and love them all, this is one of my new ones.
The papers are  by Heartfelt Creations, the Sentiment came with the stamp and the colouring is done with copic pens. I added a little "Summer" sticker in the corner to finish off.

Ooooo I love a Spend!!

Hi again Girls

Ooooo I had a lovely box delivered by my postwoman today....
A lovely new Janome Sewing Machine.
Isn't it pretty!! Well not pretty, but you know what I mean....Isn't is great?
I have been doing quite a bit of sewing lately, and have been using sewing on my Scrapbook pages for ages, love the stitched effects you can get on paper.

Sewing with material is something I have always done (the first time I ran a business in the 80's was by sewing, making Soft Furnishings). So I have been busy making alsorts of things and will try them out for selling on my Craft Stall along with my cards and mdf! My next sale is early July, so will let you now if I did ok!

So today I have had a great play with my new toy. Made a few bits n' bobs and generally trying out the new stitches, and the needle threader (yes), and the stop start button, which I love.

If you see this post Ms Sue Dunn, I will be paying you yet another visit as I need more iron on stiffener!!  ha ha. (That's my lovely friend on our Market Haberdashery stall, she's a love and so is Carol her Sister!) X

Here are a couple of photo's for you to see. Not very exciting I know but sorry, needed to show someone!!

My lovely Mum and Sister.

Hi girls

Something a bit different today to show you. It's been a few months since I had a play at Scrapbooking. It has always been my first love and in a months time I will be teaching children to Scrapbook, so it's a nice re-fresher.

The photo was taken just last month in Benidorm, on the balcony of our Hotel, and it's my lovely Mum and Sister. I hope you will all agree my Mum looks amazing....she had her 76th Birthday last week, she is such a trendy and young at heart woman who I love very much. When us three go on holiday together we have such a great time and big fun, we have booked our next trip and will be going back to Benidorm on 31st October.....Yipeeeeee.

I have used various papers, some are Heartfelt Creations and others are MME. I have used some stickers, washi tape a paper ribbon and some Stampin' Up stamps in a Grunge theme to add the splodges, love this set, it's still available in the latest calalogue and is called Gorgeous Grunge.

Sorry the photo is not as clear as it should be, my camera is being very naughty even though it is fairly new, or it might be me! I am not a very good photographer!!

I would like to enter this page into the following challenges:

Stuck?!:--Sketch

Moving along with the Times--Inspired by a song (Madonna's Holiday)

I have posted a card I shouldn't have until June 27th, so I have removed it and will schedule is for the right date.
Not sure if I will be in trouble with the team at Sweet Stampin', but hopefully they will forgive me, especially with it being the first time I have ever done it!!

Sweet Stampin' Challenge Time.

Hi Ladies

As it's Saturday, there's another Challenge awaiting you at Sweet Stampin' this week and it's a nice easy challenge (well I think so anyway).
Black & White with a POP of one other colour.....told you it was nice!
We are a Stamping Challenge, so please don't forget to stamp somewhere on your project, ta.
Our Sponsors this week are US SS Goodie bag.

So I have decided to use one of my Brand New Stamps I bought at the Port Sunlight Happy Stampers Show in May. The Stamp is by Impression Obsession and I think it's gorgeous, I love how simple it is to cut out, it is perfect for Decoupaging like I have done with one of the flower heads.

I stamped the image straight onto a card blank, then stamped again on cardstock and cut out the flower. I coloured the flower with Tim Holtz "Red" marker and added stickles to all the flower middles. I finished the card with a fine liner pen and made a double line round the edge of the card and the sentiment. The sweet little sentiment stamp, is one I have had for a long time, and is made by Penny Black.
Simple, easy and fun to do.....Go on get yourself over and have a go.

Wedding Acceptances

Hi Girls

Well not too bad weather wise today.....Hope it stays nice for a few days!

I am in the middle of a whole house re-furb at the mo....so it's two rooms down and quite a few to go.

This week I have just moved my Craftroom, I used to use my dining room, but now it's upstairs in my Son's old bedroom. It looks great, will show some photo's soon.
It was a bit of a shock moving it (don't think you know how much stuff you have 'till you come to do it)! omg, hubby got to see what I had too!!!   That didn;t go down too well...
The room is slightly smaller too, so fitting it all in was a bit of a jigsaw at times. I also HAD to do a touch of re-cycling and throwing out.

Next room is our bedroom, the big one! It is a long time since we decorated in their. Taking it right back to the brick too, so will be a longish job.

Anyway onto today's make. I have some fairs coming up so have been crafting like mad with mdf, but had to make some cards for my Daughter's workfriends, so here are a couple of them.

Sorry for the picture quality, these are two of four Wedding Acceptances I made, two of each colour.
The little heart stamp is one of my Indigo Blu mini stamps (I have this is the large stamp too), the banner was a free stamp from a magazine, I stamped this over the pc generated Acceptance wording.
