Paris~ Summer 2001

Hi girl's.

I am back again today with a Scrap Layout for you to see.

For this Layout I have used a photograph taken of my two friends Angie and Sandra.
It's not a new photo, it was taken when we all went to Paris to see Madonna in concert back in 2001.
I love this photo, as we were standing under the legs of the Eiffel Tower.
I loved the Tower and got a shock at how big it was, underneath each leg were hundreds of people all waiting to go up.
I don't know what I was expecting, but it was certainly more beautiful than I could ever have imagined.
A couple of years after this Angie and I went back (again to see Madonna!!) and we got to see the sights we did not see first time around (including The Louvre).

I love art, all art,(even the Damien Hurst type of art! Which is a bit odd I know, but at the end of the day is still art) And when Angie and I saw the Mona Lisa we were taken aback at how gorgeous she was. I remember a friend telling us she was not worth seeing as she was tiny and boring.....NOT true, she was amazing.
One day I will get around to Scrapping the photo I took of her.

I have used the Sketch for this LO from the Challenge over at Scrapology. I have chosen this gorgeous Kraft paper from Graphic 45, this pad is so gorgeous and it had this "Paris" paper inside so I decided to use that.
The flowers are Hobbyhouse, the lace is from my stash, and the punched edge is a EK Success punch.

Entering this LO into:

Scrapology--Sketch + Lace

Delicious Doodles--Texture

Simon Says Ch--Favorite Tool (EK Success punches)

Wow....this is an absolutely gorgeous layout. I just love the soft colours you used. A fabulous way to look back at a wonderful trip.
P.S. You asked about the prismas and the mineral spirits for colouring images. It works fabulous as long as you have good paper. I use Stamping Bellas best paper for copics and prismas. Not sure the correct name, but it has a soft texture so the spirits move well! Have fun!
