My Lovely Nana~

Hi Girls,

I am busy with a Scrapbook Commision at the moment, but am waiting on the arrival of a batch of photographs. I thought while I wait I can have a bit of a practice on a couple of my own photo's. (Don't really need to practice, just an excuse to have a bit of a play!!)

This photograph is of Me and my Lovely Nana. Her Birthday is Christmas Day the same as mine (oddly my Dad's Mum had the same Birthday too, so me and two Nana's on Christmas Day!!)
I was 50 (a year and a half ago now) and my Nana was 94.
I saw her this week (she lives with my Mum) and she is doing so well. I sometimes find it hard to believe she is nearly 96.
Her short term memory has only just started to fail her a bit over the last twelve months, but get her talking about her childhood and teenage years and she is as sharp as a razor. Some of her stories are so funny, hearing about how she and her siblings were all out working at the tender age of 14, not much money or food going into the house, yet they were so close and happy.
Makes you wonder where it all went wrong doesn't it?
Money the root of all evil (now who said that I wonder!)

Anyway back to the Scrapbook Page Layout!
I have used some BasicGrey "Little Black Dress" background paper, Paper Salon Swiss dot paper, a sheet of Stampin' up paper (no name on the sheet!) and some Butterfly paper by Prima (one of my favorites at the moment). The Jouralling Square is by Bo-Bunny.
The flowers are a mix of Hobby House flowers from my stash and also the Funstamp Flower by Lindsey Mason. I used this a couple of days ago on a card.
The little dots are Craftwork Card Candy and are my favorite Candy colours they do, so subtle.
The paper Lace is a strip I was given, so don't know where it came from, but it is great to colour with your inks. I have just caught the edges of mine with Tim's Dusty Concord.
